By following the rule....a calorie is a calorie is a calorie, if i have eaten all my daily calories AND i want a chocolate bar and i don't want to go over my calories, is it ok to eat the chocolate bar and then exercise off the calories from it? Will this hinder my weight loss by any way?

Also can i do this with any foods and do you think it's ok to do?

I can safetly say for me i eat a little chocolate everyday and i have lost weight without any problems. That said though i do account for it in my daily calories but occasionally if i happen to go over i will exercise to help me a little. It has not hurt me yet as long as the rest of your diet is healthy then i see no problems at all.

Entire chocolote bar? Most have around 500-700 callories. Personally I love Bitter Sweet chocolate from trader Joes. They sell it in a pound bars, but three pieces are very satisfying and only 200 calories.

The jumbo size ones might.  I like the Hershey's Special Dark Bars - which, if I recall correctly, are about 250 cals each.   I split it into four servings of three squares each so that each time I have chocolate, I'm only having about 60 cals worth.

Most chocolate bars around here are more like 230-250 calories.... not the king sized ones, the regular ones. I eat one once in a while, and it's definitely worth it! You just don't want to eat them all the time.

I also eat chocolate almost everyday and have still lost weight. Go for it! just log your calories!

Mmm! Yes, they're 180 calories per bar...so good paired with a nice red cabernet. Although I find it doesn't taste like chocolate very much...
