***Christian Calorie Counters (CCC) Continues***
This thread is for the purpose of lifting up our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and in doing so, encouraging and motivating one another on their weight Loss and weight maintenance journey, and encouraging each other in life itself.
So please come and share your needs, share your successes, encourage one another, and help us motivate each other, all in the love of the Lord.
There is an ongoing challenge if you would like to participate. It starts on the first of every month and ends at the first of the next month. On the first of the month, you come to this thread and post your weight and your 3 core measurements (chest, waist, hips). Then throughout the month you collect points for different categories of the challenge. Each week you post your points for that week. The points are then updated on the thread:
Christian Calorie Counters Challenge Roster & Updates. You go to that thread just to view the list, but stay on this thread for the purpose of posting stats and points, and above all - fellowship with each other. You do NOT have to take part in the challenge in order to be a part of this group.
Good morning everyone!
Kat, I want you to know that I am praying for your son. I also want to encourage you to keep doing what you are doing. God IS working behind the scenes and he wants your son to experience the salvation that you have already claimed as your own. I also believe that God holds a special place in his heart for the prayers of a mother for her child. Also, just to share a little testimony of my own......I was raised in a faith filled home and had a vary hard heart. Out of smug obedience to my father I, very unwillingly, asked Jesus to help me honor my parents (I was a teenager at the time) and soften my heart towards God. I can't explain the internal transformation that happened instantly. Since that day my heart has softened more and more. I believe this is why the second commandment is to honor your father and mother. God blesses our obedience. God will bless your sons obedience to you by reading the scripture you send.
God bless you all today!
` Mandy
That is one thing that is so great about this fellowship. Sharing, praying, laughing, crying, encouraging, motivating. We use life experiences of our own, and the word of God and the love of God to help each other. Thanks for being here.
Well I hope you have an amazingly restful day filled with a serenity that is overflowing your imagination!!! Just thinking about all the blessings that God graces me with, makes that happen for me!
Welcome back kim! Sorry to hear your mom's still not well.
Thanks also from me, dances. Many of the Psalms are familiar to me as hymns, and the music of them always soothes and encourages me.
Somewtimes I feel I spend too much time on the computer too, but it certainly does seem to be helping me to stay in contact with my fellows! And saves me from boredom on the job!
I'm having a tough day today because Anger is clinging to me, and thus Food is calling out to me. But I thank God for all of you, your encouraging words and supportive thoughts! The Lord will protect me from myself!
God is good and His mercies are new every morning. Let's all rejoice in this day that He has given us, and praise Him for who he is.
Kris...you put a new picture up. You look great! Share with us how much weight you have lost because you definately look slimmer than the picture you had up before. Of course, I mean that in a good way. :)
Mandy...as a mother of teens I found your testimony very comforting! God is so awesome.
Kat...I hope you didn't mix the smoothie and sausage together. :)
I do agree about the computer time...I spend way too much time on here but...I feel that it is time well spent. I find it very uplifting and helpful in the place I'm at right now in my life. I still get my job done, spend time with family, etc. so I feel ok about it.
Ok...I could be exercising instead of on the computer but that's asking a little too much isn't it?! :)
If I knew how to draw the little cheerleaders for you I would. :)
Thanks for uplifting me, Friends!
I praise the Lord and thank Him for directing me to this thread!!
So far, so good, though I sure did have a few tough moments. Concentrating on living my commitment to this journey!
