***Christian Calorie Counters (CCC) Continues***

Quote  |  Reply
Greetings to all. This thread is being started to continue, not to abandon, the old thread, Christian Calorie Counters. Thank you Danceswithforks for that wonderful thread.

This thread is for the purpose of lifting up our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and in doing so, encouraging and motivating one another on their weight Loss and weight maintenance journey, and encouraging each other in life itself.

So please come and share your needs, share your successes, encourage one another, and help us motivate each other, all in the love of the Lord.

There is an ongoing challenge if you would like to participate. It starts on the first of every month and ends at the first of the next month. On the first of the month, you come to this thread and post your weight and your 3 core measurements (chest, waist, hips). Then throughout the month you collect points for different categories of the challenge. Each week you post your points for that week. The points are then updated on the thread:
Christian Calorie Counters Challenge Roster & Updates. You go to that thread just to view the list, but stay on this thread for the purpose of posting stats and points, and above all - fellowship with each other. You do NOT have to take part in the challenge in order to be a part of this group.

Pam, I check here often. It's slow activity, but that is still activity.
Hi! I'm glad there is still activity. I thought it was dying out and that made me sad.

I'm a little worried about that too Pam, I think we all need this forum, I hope people realize that I for one, always check to see if there has been any activity. There is only 2 forums that I watch that keep busy. There are several like this one that use to be busy but since Christmas or maybe even sooner than that, have slowed down to only a couple postings a week.     I say Christians....come on....we need each others support. Other forums people have to be careful that they don't offend someone with their faith...not in here. Let's start building each other up again, OK?????

Hi guys! I can get online frequently. My job is coming down on us for being on the internet so much! We can only get online for breaks and lunchtimes.

 I miss everyone!

HAPPY VALENITNE'S DAY!

I just found this forum today as I try to stay away from all of the candy. I'm so glad that I found this! I find that when I attempt a challenge with other Christians, there is more strength. (I wonder why that is? I say this in a sarcastic way). I hope everyone has a wonder Valentine's Day. God bless.
Hi skay23, feel free to post anytime, I could use some challenge.Laughing
Welcome Skay! Glad to have you! Please feel free to fellowship here often. I would like to see more activity like there once was.

Kat! What a great pleasure to see you today! I have missed you!

4square, good morning! You are certainly up early! Glad to see you also!

Dances? Where are you girl?

Where is everybody else? Jennifer? Where ya at?

Hello All.

I'd love to join this forum.  I need all the help and motivation I can get!

I look forward to reading and sharing!

Tonya

Hi Pam, I missed you too! How have you been doing? Did you go to the Mayo Clinic? Weren't you supposed to go?

I have been trying to cut out all of the sugar junk and I believe I am down to almost not needing it. I always craved chocolate and if I saw it I would eat it. I just bought more fruit and whenever I wanted chocolate, I would grab a pear or apple. That made me full for about 2 hours and the craving went away. I pray that I would just not like the taste of chocolate anymore!

Another thing is that my DH and I go out to eat every night because we are always busy and never get home till about 8 or 9 at night. I started to go home at dinner time instead of to the restaurants and started cooking dinner myself and even though it's not as easy as just buying it already made, it's just as good and WAY cheaper, not to mention healthier. I just use more vegetables than meats and my wallet is thanking me!! My clother are getting looser too!

I have to get up with prayer on my lips every morning for the strength to not want to go the easy route. My DH helps me in the kitchen and we are happier to be so creative together!

Have a great Friday!

Hi Tonya! Welcome to CCC. Glad to have you join us. I hope you will make yourself at home here and feel free to share, encourage, and be encouraged.

Dances, I'm glad that going4gold is working out for you. I do wish you would continue to fellowship here as well. Is there a reason why you don't want to. Is there something you would suggest for us to do to make it more pleasing?

Kat, I am scheduled to be at the Mayo Clinic on March 11th. I have made reservations there in Rochester, and I have begun getting things together that I am supposed to take there. Now I am just waiting on the Lord to provide the finances for the trip itself. I know He will.

Hi guys,

I accidently stumbled on this thread and I'm so glad I did. Although I'm not here to lose weight (I'm recovering from ED) can I still join? I feel so alone many times in my battle..

Of course you can join. You don't have to need to lose weight in order to be a part of our little group. Glad to have you. I have not been around the past week, because I am really really sick with some respiratory infection or the flu, so if you all don't see me for a while, that is why.
