***Christian Calorie Counters (CCC) Continues***
This thread is for the purpose of lifting up our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and in doing so, encouraging and motivating one another on their weight Loss and weight maintenance journey, and encouraging each other in life itself.
So please come and share your needs, share your successes, encourage one another, and help us motivate each other, all in the love of the Lord.
There is an ongoing challenge if you would like to participate. It starts on the first of every month and ends at the first of the next month. On the first of the month, you come to this thread and post your weight and your 3 core measurements (chest, waist, hips). Then throughout the month you collect points for different categories of the challenge. Each week you post your points for that week. The points are then updated on the thread:
Christian Calorie Counters Challenge Roster & Updates. You go to that thread just to view the list, but stay on this thread for the purpose of posting stats and points, and above all - fellowship with each other. You do NOT have to take part in the challenge in order to be a part of this group.
I saw these on the t.v. show the naked archioligist (sp?) and just had to look for it. I was actually hoping lego made a bible story series so I could get it for my nephew. What I found were books illistrate by taking pictures of lego scenes someone created. The books look interesting. Has anyone seen these before and if so are they well done for children? Any way I thought i would share what I found.

I haven't had internte access for a while so I havn't been able to check in. My husband and I are working on our problems and hopefully we will be able to sort through the issues and have a happy life together. I went to the doctor and she put me on anxiety medications which seems to be lifting my mood. I don't fell like sitting around all the time feeling sorry for myself. I am tring to get out more and do things and meet people. unfortunatly we have not been able to find a church that meets our needs in the area we moved to. Once spring is here we are going to explore our options a little further from home. My husband is very particular about his church life. He was raised in a family that was very involed while he was growing up. He attended a christian school from kindergarden through high school and college. If we go to a church for the first time and he leaves feeling, well not empty, but not fullfilled he will never go back not even for a second chance. The church we loved "The Chaple" is an hour drive from our new home, which for him is too far. I am hopefull we will find something this spring.
I guess I have been going on, so I will say bye for now and try to keep in touch. Thanks for being there, this is a great thread.
Well, the wedding was wonderful, the honeymoon was quite an adventure, and I've cleaned up the huge piles of work left on my desk after a month away!
I've been trying to upload the photos, but there seems to be some technical problem. Anyone have hints? I've done it before, but this time I'm trying to upload from the DVD that the photographer provided...over 600 pictures!!
Admittedly, I am struggling big time with food again. Shortly before the wedding I had chocolate, after over 2 yrs without. Day ofter the wedding, at a family brunch, I gorged as I hadn't done in months! The trip held it's challenges,food-wise, but wasn't too bad. I'd only gained 4 lbs during that month. But since our return, I am totally immersed in my food addiction....eating all manner of sweets, salts, fats, huge quantities and seemingly eating from dawn to midnight!
So here I am, back at square one. Here, amongst all of you who understand the struggle, and have before and will again, offer support, suggestions and prayers. Thank you all for being there, somewhere out there in cyberland! Unseen, but not unappreciated friends, each of you!

Hi Sue!
Hi Kat!
Hi 4Square!
Hi Jodi!
I am sitting in one of the lobbies at the Mayo Clinic, waiting for my next test, so I wanted to take a minute to tell you what is going on with me here. Well, yesterday I had lots and lots of labwork. Then I had a CT scan of the chest/lungs, and then I had a breathing test. We ride a shuttle from the St. Mary's Hospital across the street from where we are staying, and then it takes us to the Mayo Clinic about 10 blocks away. The Mayo Clinic is made up of about 5 or 6 buildings and they are all connected by what they call the subway. It is beautiful. Big corridors with shops all along it will take you from building to building. You don't even know that you are going into a different building if it weren't for the signs telling you that you are. I had to stop eating Monday night at 7:30 pm, and I didn't get to eat again until 5 pm last night. I was soooo hungry! Then we went out to The Ranch Family Restaurant and I partook of Liver and onions with Bacon, Seasoned potato wedges and the salad and soup bar. It was great! Today we arrived at the Mayo Clinic at 8:30 am and I had an echocardiagram to start my day. They actually started the echo at 8:45 and I didn't get done with it until 10:40 am. Now we are waiting to have vascular studies done on my leg to make sure that I don't have any blood clots (because of the lump in my leg). After that, we are going to try to get an early appt with the rheumatologist. Right now it is scheduled for next Wednesday, but they said to check with them when I had enough free time between tests, and see if there had been any cancellations or if people had not shown up. Then we could get worked in. If we can do that, we might not have to stay here until next Wednesday. Maybe even come home as early as Saturday. One thing is for sure....Here at the Mayo Clinic, these tests have been alot more thorough and more expertly done. You can tell a huge difference. I am totally impressed with the place! If we don't get worked in today for the rheumatologist, then we will come here bright and early (about 7:45 am) tomorrow morning to try to get worked in. Then on Friday, I am scheduled to see the pulmonologist again, who will let me know how all the tests turned out and what his impression is. That is why it is important to try to get into the rheumatology consult either today or tomorrow. We are praying for that to happen.
So, that is what is going on. I have been thinking of you all, and I will try to keep you informed. I would like to see the rest of "The Gang" posting. Where are ya'll?
Hello everyone,
I did get 2 photos uploaded, from my daughter-in-laws camera. Not great, but something.
Our Wedding was truly a blessed day! And God took very good care of us on our journey...keeping us safe from tornadoes, accidents, breakdowns and illness!
I'm trying not to be too hard on myself about my food addiciton, and I have noticed some improvement in my attitude since I'm back online.
It'll take me a while to catch up on posts, and then I'll be better able to respond to all. In the meantime, I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers!

Will I lose weight if I eat the same food over and over?
You can lose weight despite eating the same food day-after-day as long as you eat fewer calories than you burn. In fact, eating the... Read more
