***Christian Calorie Counters (CCC) Continues***

Quote  |  Reply
Greetings to all. This thread is being started to continue, not to abandon, the old thread, Christian Calorie Counters. Thank you Danceswithforks for that wonderful thread.

This thread is for the purpose of lifting up our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and in doing so, encouraging and motivating one another on their weight Loss and weight maintenance journey, and encouraging each other in life itself.

So please come and share your needs, share your successes, encourage one another, and help us motivate each other, all in the love of the Lord.

There is an ongoing challenge if you would like to participate. It starts on the first of every month and ends at the first of the next month. On the first of the month, you come to this thread and post your weight and your 3 core measurements (chest, waist, hips). Then throughout the month you collect points for different categories of the challenge. Each week you post your points for that week. The points are then updated on the thread:
Christian Calorie Counters Challenge Roster & Updates. You go to that thread just to view the list, but stay on this thread for the purpose of posting stats and points, and above all - fellowship with each other. You do NOT have to take part in the challenge in order to be a part of this group.

Has Dances become a ghost writer? I see she's posted, but I can see any words?

I wish you all a Blessed Resurrection Day!

"You ask me how I know He lives, He lives within my heart!"

Sue, you look absolutely gorgeous in those pictures. Congratulations on your wedding! May God bless your union!

Dances, are you OK? What's going on?

I've read your blogs and look forward to "visiting" with you all from time to time.  I am 61 years old, overweight since my teens,  type 2 diabetic for 15 years, under fair control, but need help with motivation to get some weight off and exercise.  This will help with the diabetes control, but I just like rich food too much!  Also, do not like to exercise!  So, you see my problem!  Through some reading I've been doing lately, I am encouraged to trust in God for all things.  But I do need to do my part.  Thanks for this site...it helps to share!

Glad to have you here, Rosie. I hope you fellowship with us often, as we are here to support you and lift up the Lord!

Dances, where are you?

Kat, where are you?

Jennifer where are you?

There are alot of people missing. Where did you all go?
Hi Guys! Just popping in to say Hi and I miss you! I can't seem to make enough time for the computer lately! I am not doing good on my weightloss so I just get annoyed with the whole thing. We are still working on that house and with the slow housing industry, we are trying to hang in there! I know God is in control of everything. I just let him have the reigns!

Happy Easter to everyone!

Easter's message is Resurrection.

We all know about and understand resuscitation...bringing back to life, only to have to die again.

Resurrection is about being Lifted to a New Life in a New form!

Wouldn't it be wonderful to stop resuscitating our diets, and truly resurrect them??

Good to hear from you Sue and Kat! Kat, I was wondering if you had finished on the house yet. Best wishes to you.

I haven't been around much lately, but I want to say Happy Easter to all!  Smile

I don't know why, but I'm absolutely starving today... I'm already at almost 1000 calories, and craving everything I (thankfully) don't have in the house.... french fries, fish sticks, pumpkin pie --aaghhh. I don't ever eat those things, WHY is that all I want today??    :)

I don't know why we go through times that we want specific things to eat and they are usually all either high fat, high processed carbs, or sugar.

Laughing  thankfully, I rode out the storm, and am going to have an apple now  :)  Thanks!

An apple sounds good. I think I will have one also.

Hello, everyone!  I am back to the Calorie Count site after a prolonged absence.  Winter here in the Pacific Northwest has been long, hard and cold!  Two new grandbabies in October (one really good thing that happened), husband had surgery to remove some toe and foot parts in December just after the big wind storm blew through (he was an undiagnosed diabetic!!!), then lots of snow and cold temperatures for this time of year.  Today we had snow AGAIN and now there is a really cold rain.  In the time that all of this took, I started to gain back some of what I had lost.  I will weigh in tomorrow, but I think right now I am around 160#.  The good news is that I am back to counting calories again.  I know this works and is what I need to do to get the weight back off.  I don't know how much time I will be able to spend on the boards, but I will hop in every once in a while to see what's up.  It's good to be back!  ♥ Peggy

Welcome back Peggy! Glad to see you here. Thanks for stopping in and giving us an update. You can do it.

I've been lurking...but no one's been posting, including me!

But yesterday God blessed me with a renewed desire to measure portions and log my food intake. So I feel you all out there, wherever you are! The collective power of prayer!

Praise the Lord!

Hi Sue! I don't know where everybody went. I am kinda saddened by that, but hopefully everybody is where the Lord wants them to be.

I miss all of you out there.
