***Christian Calorie Counters (CCC) Continues***
This thread is for the purpose of lifting up our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and in doing so, encouraging and motivating one another on their weight Loss and weight maintenance journey, and encouraging each other in life itself.
So please come and share your needs, share your successes, encourage one another, and help us motivate each other, all in the love of the Lord.
There is an ongoing challenge if you would like to participate. It starts on the first of every month and ends at the first of the next month. On the first of the month, you come to this thread and post your weight and your 3 core measurements (chest, waist, hips). Then throughout the month you collect points for different categories of the challenge. Each week you post your points for that week. The points are then updated on the thread:
Christian Calorie Counters Challenge Roster & Updates. You go to that thread just to view the list, but stay on this thread for the purpose of posting stats and points, and above all - fellowship with each other. You do NOT have to take part in the challenge in order to be a part of this group.
Sue - I'm glad you enjoyed that list. We can relate to some of it, can't we?
Ms Chrissy, I am praying for your little Cooper to be healed of this pain. I am so sorry that he is having to go through it. It hurts me to see or hear of an animal hurt. Poor little things, they don't understand. Especially baby animals, that's the worst! Please Rest in God's Goodness. He will heal Cooper because He is the Great animal Physican too!! Get closer to the Lord and He will get closer to you. That is one of His promises. He will give you the desires of your heart. Just believe and ask Him. I believe He led you here to our group because He knows we will pray earnestly for each other. We have a real family in here. Please bring anything you want to ask, share, or rejoice in!! Praise God for Asia! Another precious miracle. It's great how the Lord uses babies to bring others into His Kingdom! I am praying for your brother and cousin and Grandmother and you for the Holy words to speak to them!! Just ask God and He will give you the words!! Welcome to the family!!!
Chrissy...Thanks for the praise report! That's awesome!! Praise the Lord!
Pam...umm, I can relate to many of those things on the list too! ha-ha. :) Too funny.
Sue...thanks for the motivation to drink more water. I'm only at 32 ounces so far. Better get moving...
Mandy...I cannot give up my coffee either! I have 1 cup every morning.
Sarah...I forgot to say it was nice to see you in here yesterday. Thank you for the encouragement and you are doing AWESOME!
and...Dances and Ang made an appearance yesterday too. It was nice to see the both of you! Ang, I can certainly relate to the company craziness. That's one thing about living in Florida, everybody wants to come and visit! :)
Have a great day everybody. Drink that water!
Hey y'all, just an FYI about the poem attributed to Maya Angelou. She did not write it. It was written by Carol Wimmer. Check out this link for more info on the poem and the author: http://www.snopes.com/glurge/christian.asp
It is a great poem, just not one of Ms. Angelou's.
Jane :-)

We have tried putting his pill in a piece of hot dog. The first time we tried it, it worked like a charm. But, since then, I think he has cought on to what we are doing, and now he wont eat the hot dog. This morning, I Cut the pills in half and had to have my mother in law come down to our house and hold him (He loves his Mamaw). Then I put the pill halves in some peanut butter and stuck it way in the back of his mouth. It did the trick, but only with 2 of the 3 meds. The one he couldnt take was an antibiotic. I honestly dont think he has an infection, so I think he will be ok without that one until this evening. He will be more hungry then & that will give us more foods to work with. Thanks again for all your prayers and well wishes. To God Be Praised! Prayer works. Have a blessed day!

one house it seemed obvious that someone was at home, but no
answer came to his repeated knocks at the door.
Therefore, he took out a business card and wrote "Revelation
3:20" on the back of it and stuck it in the door.
When the offering was processed the following Sunday, he found
that his card had been returned. Added to it was this cryptic
message, "Genesis 3:10." Reaching for his Bible to check out the
citation, he broke up in gales of laughter. Revelation 3:20
begins "Behold, I stand at the door and knock." Genesis 3:10
reads, "I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid for I
was naked."

Oh my! That was great! Too Funny!! Thank you for that
Curly & Jen- Praise God for answered prayers!
Pam - My husband also suffers from chronic pain. I can't imagine what he goes through on a daily basis, so I won't even attempt to imagine what you go through on a daily basis. My husband tells me that he tries to focus on the pain and suffering that Jesus endured for our sins on the cross and the knowledge that the Almighty has bore your pain seems to ease his suffering. I don't know if this helps, but it was put on my heart when I read your post.
Fuel Mules!!! I had my 16 oz of coffee today and then went to Starbucks with another stay home mommy and had another 16 oz of coffee (skim latte-hee hee). However, I have also drank 64 oz of water so far. I do most of my drinking (water that is) in the evening, so I am going to try and get up to 132 oz before the day is done. Jen, I too have been in the bathroom alot! What with 32 oz of coffee.
Molly and PamYou two seem to be the water guru's. What is your opinion on this...Since I had 32 oz of caffinated coffee....do I need to increase water to make up for the diuretic effects?
That is a good question, and I don't think you have to drink extra to make up for the caffeine. Just try to drink half your weight in ounces, and you should be OK.
Sometimes it's OK totext in a restaurant.
