Christian Calorie Counters...The word Christian covers many faiths.  Baptist, Southern Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal,  Catholics, Presbyterians and right on down the line....All FAITHS ARE WELCOME HERE

However, there is a condition-"no arguing" "with the foundation of this thread".  If you do not believe how this
thread believes you are encouraged to start your own thread with the way you see it.  There is a wide range of what Christians Believe in. That's why this thread is being started.  Just like the agnostics have their own thread and others tried to go in there & then they were kicked out for disrupting.  The same principle will apply to this thread.  If anyone disrupts in this thread they will be asked to leave either by me or a monitor.  (it's sad you gotta say these things but if you don't trouble makers come)!
However, if someone joins in this thread and really feels as a Christian they need to branch off with their beliefs they can do so and we can do it in Love.
We all know that there is a range of what Christians believe in.  That's why there are so many denominations.  So for example if you're a good baptist and only believe in getting saved but you don't belief in divine healing, that's fine.  You can start your own thread with those thoughts.  This thread though is going to talk about divine healing.  That's just one example.  This thread will be a safety net that allows me or anyone else to talk about these truths without being told to "drop it".  These principles are just to important to  drop.  And I'm going to have to add that since I'm the starter of this thread I determine what is allowed.  So, I'll take it as it comes.

The theme song for our Group:  This little light of Mine....I'm going to let it shine.  Don't let SATAN blow it out! No! I'm going to let it shine!    (he tries but to no avail)!
Our Motto:  Love & Faith

I want to Welcome you.  I roll out the RED CARPET for you to walk down so we can get a good look at you.  So smile:)) there are gals who will hand you a *Crown* another who will hand you some *Flowers* and yet another who will take your picture so *Smile*!   This is also a place to talk about our weight problems.
Learning to feed ourselves with physical food will be talked about here.  Learning to feed our spirits will be talked about here.  The entire person.  Spirit Soul and body.

If you are Not a Christian but are curious to join in....we encourage you to join in with us.  We Welcome you with open arms.  This truly is a Sanctuary of Love and Faith.  Come & Learn.... come & dine.... in our Fathers House that we've built for Him.  To lift up His Name.  To Magnify and Glorify His Name.  We want to get our temples in shape to do his will.

I look forward to hearing the future TESTIMONIES that will take place as a result of this Thread.   All Praise to God our Father and His Son Jesus who is our Lord and Savior. We also thank you for the GREAT MIGHTY HOLY SPIRIT whom you sent to us as a gift to be our guide to live big in us and lead us into all the affairs of Life.

Truly,
DancesWithForks
The leader of this thread.

Just running in to report, down another 2 lbs.....running harder to catch up with Molly....she's 3 lbs ahead....pant, pant, pant.....
Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin. God lifts you up, takes you

in, and washes all the dirt off of you. He opens you up, touches you

deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff-- including the seeds

of doubt, hate, greed, etc. Then He carves you a new smiling face

and puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see.

Good Morning All!!!

I hope you all have a great day!!!  and a fantabulous weekend!

Ms Mandy, I just wanted to tell you that I am praying for you also. And tell you that 4 years ago next month, I quit smoking. I just handed the cigarettes over to God and He took them away from me, The habit and all. I was smoking a pack a day for 26 years and just trusted God to keep them!  He did and I have NOT had even one in 4 years in November! No urge either. I know that I gave them to God and He will not give them back to me! Also I went around telling myself and everyone else that I am a NON-smoker.  And it felt so good to say that! Just TRUST God that He took it (the habit and all) away.

Now I tried it with the eating thing, but it's a little more complicated than that!  We have to eat so it's just a choice thing, I guess! I trust God with that but I don't trust myself when I am around food yet!!!

So know that I pray for you to just trust God with them!
Good Morning CCC GANG

lots of good fun reading in here already today.
It's Fun Friday.  Which means we go out to dinner.
I'm generally good when I go out now.  It's fun to me.
If I get a meal I eat half of it.  Or if desert is ordered
I take 2 bites.  I enjoy being in control and eating
healthy even while being out.

Molly....thanks for sharing your list with the class.  No one can say they don't have a few ideas now.

Kat.....cute pumkin story.

Kris.....down another 2lbs.  I wonder how long it too you to lose 2 more?

Joining Forces

God is working actively on your behalf.  He is standing up for you.  He is fighting for you.  He is supplying all your needs.  Out of the treasury of His abundant grace, He is giving you His wisdom and His ability!

Confession:  I am one with my Father!  He is active on my behalf.  He supplies my needs.  I fellowship and cooperate with Him!

Romans 8:31,32

What then shall we say to [all] this? If God is for us, who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?]He who did not withhold or spare [even] His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all [other] things?

Claps hands for Ms Dancer!! YOU GO GIRL!!!!
Hi Molly!!  I see Coach Kat gave you some really good advice.  I've got scripture to back up what she's saying.

kAT SAID SHE GAVE THEM TO gOD:  1 PETER 5:7

Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

This scriptures shows us that we can GIVE GOD are troubles or worries or anxieties.  But the trick is handing it over.  Remind him if need be.  that's your faith talking.

THEN COACH KAT SAID SHE WENT AROUND SAYING SHE WAS A NON-SMOKER.    Ok words are powerful.
If you look at the woman with the issue of blood you will see that she SAID like 3 times if I touch the hem of his garmet I will be made whole.  Notice the word SAID!!!  What we say is powerful.  God almighty formed the world with his WORDS.

Hope that helps.  I'm not preaching at all.  Just pointing out truths.

If I could only STAY on a scheduled eating plan, I would have this weight problem licked! We worked on that house till O dark thirty last night and didn't even remember to eat!
Humor of the Day

Church Restoration Project

There was a tradesman, a painter named Jack, who was very interested in making a dollar where he could. So he often would thin down his paint to make it go a wee bit further. As it happened, he got away with this for some time.Eventually the local church decided to do a big restoration project. Jack put in a painting bid and, because his price was so competitive, he got the job. And so he started, erecting the trestles and putting up the planks, and buying the paint and thinning it down with turpentine.

Jack was up on the scaffolding, painting away, the job nearly done, when suddenly there was a horrendous clap of thunder. The sky opened and the rain poured down, washing the thin paint from all over the church and knocking Jack off the scaffold to land on the lawn.

Jack was no fool. He knew this was a judgment from the Almighty, so he fell on his knees and cried, "Oh, God! Forgive me! What should I do?"

And from the thunder, a mighty Voice spoke, "Repaint! Repaint! And thin no more!"
hehe
that was a good one!!!

Hee hee hee!!!!

Today, I go get a flu shot, I go out to lunch at Panda Express, and then I'm going to the County Fair.

Prayers, please, that I behave myself (food-wise) today! (And for my cough to continue to improve!)

Dances, we now go from Monday through Sunday. So, you need to keep your points and post on Monday your points from Monday Oct 1 through Sunday October 7th. You just jumped the gun a little bit.

I was GOOD at the Fair!  The only thing I ate was a grilled chicken soft taco (no cheese) ... and I only ate half the tortilla (DH ate the other half, with some of my chicken, onions, cabbage and hot sauce!)  And I didn't even nibble the scrumptious cinnamon roll DH ate!

And we walked a LOT!!! My footsies are tired!

Anyway, just checking in!

=^..^=  MOLLY

Molly, No fried artichokes?!?  That's amazing (patting Molly on back).

Thanks for all the encouragement with the smoking issue.  I know it is in my Father's hands and he has blessed both my husband's and my efforts.  We're quitting together.  We've tried this before and in an effort to save our marriage....or one of our lives, we have gone out to buy another pack within 24 hrs.  Not so this time.  We are trying a diffrent aproach and including it into our daily prayer time for eachother.

I am also excited to say that I have not gained a pound!!!!  I was really expecting to gain weight.  Now I haven't lost any either, but I haven't expected to with the quitting smoking.  I will be a little disappointed if I don't lose anything next week.

So for all of you who have kept me in your prayers, know that I have felt them, I thank God for you and also know that you are in my prayers.

Love to you all, Healthy eating and have a great weekend!

Opps...  I'll repost again then on Sunday which is tomorrow.  I got it now it's Monday-Sunday.   I was stuck on the old schedule.
