any Christian dieters out there?

Hi. I just recently got "back" into this website after a half attempt before. I have just started a new bible study and it has really made me look at how much I try to control things and not let God take over. So, I would love to have feedback. I am so tired of weight being the focus of my life.

wow TIF! It is so weird that you posted this, just 2 nights ago (Sunday night church service) I was reminded of all the things that God has done for me. He has blessed me so much. I was thinking back to when I had big issues in my life, one of which was smoking cigarettes. In almost everything I have been through I can see where I have prayed about it and given my burden over to the Lord, and have been successful with Gods help, EXCEPT the biggest burden of all, which is my weight at this time in me life! I have not once called on the power of God to help me out. I am reminded of Phillipians 4:13, I can do ALL things through Christ which strenghens me. I am putting my trust in that verse and in the name of Jesus. I will certainly be rooting you on, and I will add you to my buddy list. Good luck and may God bless you!!!

I am 26, and I live in Alabama. I have only been a christian since 03/06/04, it is so amazing the Love that I have found in Jesus. I used to think that "church-goers" were just small minded exclusive people, but I know that if God can change me, He can change anyone.

Hi, you can count me in as a Christian dieter. I met the Lord in 1998 while I was pregnant with my daughter. I was saved instantly. I was struggling with blood pressure because of my pregnancy for seven months. I was on the last term of the pregnancy which seems to make the blood pressure get worse. I was in a dangerous situation. I received the Lord about a month and a half before I was due. I was healed. I was in shock when the Dr told me my pressure was normal. I had made no changes whatseover, but recieve the Lord. My blood pressure stayed normal until the due date. I've been loyal to him since then. Trust in what you cannot see. He will get us through these challenge. I love challenges.

Joel Olsteen is a very positive pastor that I like to hear.
He is a good motivator. He has a great website, too.

I am so excited to have new friends, in the Lord and on this website!! I am always amazed at how He works. I have tried to lose weight without turning it over to Him, then He leads me to this site and gives me new friends dealing with the same struggles. He is awesome!

I too am a Christian. God has definitly seen me through a lot of other struggles. The main one being quitting my great job at General Motors to stay home with my kids. I really felt the Lord directing my path. Our family has been living on one income now for 5 years and we have 2 kids in a private Christian School with the third starting in the fall. God has really provided for us. I am so excited to see all of you here. I have not figured out the friends thing yet, but would like to keep in touch with you.

Hi, I am new to this site . I was put on steroids for my asthma an it made me gain weight. I am off of the meds now and left with about 35 lbs to loose. I have trouble staying motivated but sence heart disease runs in my famiily I really have to get my appitie under control now and get moving. I would love to have a weight loss buddy to help me with this process. I am a christian mom to three. God bless everyone.
