Nothing! Its Christmas day! ...and you should do the same, especially with a stress fracture. A day (or a month) off might be good for that.

I plan to do some yoga practice (moderate to vigorous). It's not a champion calorie burner, but it will get me moving and make me feel great. ^^
My gym's open! However, it would be closed by the time I got around to getting there. I'm just gonna walk on the treadmill at home and maybe walk the doggies! I'M definately a champion calorie burner! :)

I exercise at home usually (gyms are not my bag - except the squash courts!)...but i'm thinking a nice long walk or cross-country ski would be fun on christmas day. Would that kind of a workout be OK for your foot?

Does Wii boxing count as exercise? hahah

well the doctor said swimming and biking are the best, but i could do the elliptical too.

yoga sounds like a great idea! do you have videos or a book...?

i wish i could take the day off but ill be going to 3 different dinners (my own family then 2 for my bf). lol

Try www.yogatoday.com if you don't have any videos at home.

Travelling! (benefit of a Jewish family that doesn't celebrate Christmas but takes advantage of the vacation to get together.)

Tomorrow I'm planning to take the day off from exercising. The folk I'm visiting are very into exercise so I'm expecting to go to the gym every day, or go cycling if weather permits. Wonder if I can persuade folk to go x-country skiing?

lol, I still love my Tae bo tapes

thanks for the site! they have one for runners....i def might hit that up tomorrow

wow, i might just go look for my old tae bo tapes. haha

If you can't use your legs, use your arms. Unwrap your presents as quickly and vigorously as you can - the more arm flailing, the better. When your family asks why the hell you are tearing open their presents, just explain that you are exercising.

They'll understand. :)
I'm taking a brisk walk up my mountain with my mom.  That way I get to be out in nature, appreciating its beauty on a special day, with someone I care about, as well as being physically active and offsetting the large meal that I'm probably going to consume.

Today was aerobics (too snowy and icy to run), and tomorrow is weights. Much as someone else posted upthread, I don't much care for gyms and I have equipment at home.

I am hoping everything thaws enough that I can run Wednesday morning. After a while aerobics gets boring.
I am going to run my 8 mile trail along with chest and tries work out, however I wont be doing it at the gym i will be using my home set up.  (gym aint open until late and I am just going to get it done early in the am before anyone knows.)
m gym isnt open either!!! im going to do anything i can -- a walk after EACH meal, i have a pair of dumbells so im gonna do some biceps/triceps, pushups, pilates, crunches...i hate when people say to take the day off. NO THANKS!
Christmas day isn't anything to me except December 25th.  I don't go to a gym because I can't even afford heat in my apartment, much less a gym membership until the turn of the year, but for exercise I'll be doing my usual workout at home.  An hour on the exercise bike, fifty minutes of pilates and ten minutes of meditation, half an hour with an exercise ball and half an hour with a thigh squeezy doohickey.  I haven't done any of it in the past few weeks because I barely get 1200 calories as it is, but tomorrow I'll be eating enough Ramen and frozen vegetables to ensure I don't pass out from exercise.

DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION! haha. I got it this year for Christmas, and it will burn TONS of calories and you won't even realize it half the time because you get too caught up in trying to get the steps right, and you don't want to stop until it's absolutely PERFECT...but when it's perfect, you only want to dance MORE. haha. So it works. I'm so happy I got it! EEE!!!! I don't have to sit around doing nothing this year! YAY!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!

at 10:30 am I will start  my 2 hour routine. I do all  my work outs at home.

Every one have a very Merry Christmas.

Just got back from my (24 hr) gym, never closes, ever!  Did the cardio wave (about 1,000 cal) and lower body lifting.  I ate way over my calorie limit yesterday, so I had to get something in.

I baked all morning since I was so stuffed I was not tempted to try the cookies and cupcakes.  Sent most of it with my husband to work tonight, so they are out of the house.  Thank goodness.

Merry Christmas!
