What did YOU get for Christmas this year?

What was your favorite gift you got this year? What are you most thankful for about Christmas this year?

I got a huge collection of Edgar Allan Poe's poems and short stories, and I'm thankful for the look on my Grandmother's face when she opened my gift to her.

I'm totally in love with this pair of fuzzy slippers I got from a friend for Christmas. They're not only cute but warm too. I simply love wearing them. The same friend bought me two books that I really enjoyed reading (yup, finished with them already :D ). I also love this shirt that another friend bought me. I haven't worn t-shirts for ages and I was surprised at how nice it looks on me! Now I wear it all the time.

As for other things I'm thankful for... umm, good weather here in Toronto, I suppose. It's a sunny Christmas this year, and there's snow on the ground too.

=P I got to hear my mother talk about how she's leaving my father, and how disappointed everyone was with their gifts since we can't afford anything. Yay Christmas!

I bought five new pairs of scrub pants, two new bras, and two packs of underwear for Alex to give to me, and then he surprised me by ordering the digital camera I've had my eye on.  My old one was touch-and-go, and I missed a few important events because it decided to not work that day.

Then he really surprised me by pulling out a mystery gift.  It was the collective sketches of Brian Froud from the movie The Labyrinth.  I *love* it.

A friend got me coffee and creamer as a joke, which ended up being my favourite thing that she got me, too.  :D

I got a brand new TV for Christmas! YAY!

My favorite gift this year was my new workout clothes... they helped to motivate me and I feel like I actually look good when I exercise, too.  ;)  I even had to try them out this morning.  =)  I also love my two new purses and wallets.

I'm thankful for my families health and happiness (and mine).  I really enjoyed seeing the look of happiness as my husband opened his gifts.  It made me really happy to see my dog enjoying opening her gifts too.  LOL  =)

Lots of great horse equipment!  No excuse not to love my work in the barn now!

Favoutite gift.  My S-I-L did maintance on my computer for my gift. 

Glad that family was around for the day.

We put in a hot tub, which we have been wanting.  But the best Christmas present to both of us was my daughter giving my hubby (of  19 months) the "gift of a new family".  She told him that her family was his now, that she was his daughter and her daughters were his granddaughters.  He cried...well, we both cried.  (He has 4 kids and only one has been supportive/contacts him)  It meant so much to him! and to me.  A truly blessed Christmas.

My favourite gifts were the pair of boots (which I bought for myself, lol!), Anna Sui's Rouge Collection '08 from my mom and a super cute necklace from my boyfriend.

This year, I am thankful for the fact that everyone managed to turn up at my place for dinner despite the bad weather!

My favourite gift was my Jewelry set from hubby.

This year, I'm thankful for my family & health.

I got a bodybugg which is something that's been on my wish list for two years now.  Weight loss, here I come!

Favorite gift: diamond ring from my wonderful DH

Most thankful: DH safely returned from his 5th deployment to Iraq

Had Christmas at my oldest sister A.R.W.s, place, very nice, everyone was there but oldest brother A.R. and his family and Mom.

I got studio portraits of my family*; brothers and SILs, sisters and BILs, nieces, nephews, and my grandmother, which was nice.

Youngest sister, A.R.D., anounced she is preggers again, planned, and I've begun my campaign to have their future child named after me.

But my mystery gift was LEGO. whoohoo!

*My Mother arranged for everyone to have them done this year, then left the country so she couldn't have hers taken as well. A great gift for everyone else in the family as they all have kids and families of their own. I'm saving one of me just in case I get hit by a bus and they need it for the obit. Seriously considered haveing a couple dozen blown up so I could autograph them and hand them out to my friends fans:-) may still do it.

I'm thankful that there wasn't the catfight I was anticipating with my future MIL. All is right again, until next time.

Other than that, I got a combo food processor/blender and tickets to a couple of upcoming Operas.

I received a recipe box with all of my mother and grandmother's recipes written down.  Best gift ever!

A special phone call and company to eat my meal with, haven't had that for too many years :D
