Christmas gift for my boyfriend's parents
My boyfriend's parents usually have a house full of guests around the holidays and they like to play games. Last year they had "Apples to Apples", if anyone knows that game. I was thinking about getting them a new game for my Christmas gift to them this year, but I don't know of any good ones besides "Apples to Apples".
I was looking at this game store in my mall, and I saw one called "Dirty Minds"... looked hilarious, but not quite appropriate in this situation haha... I know them well, but that'd be awkward. Anyway, something funny and entertaining like that. Anyone have any ideas?
I think the game is called Catch Phrases. It is super fun. You play on teams, give each other cues without saying the "catch phrase" and the other members of your team must guess it within a certain amount of time.
Check out any of the Cranium games as well. Or, the old stand-by, Trivial Pursuit.
Good luck. Boyfriend's parents are almost impossible to buy for...they usually have everything they need.

Settlers of Catan is an awesome game, though it's only good for 4 people (or teams, there's also an expansion pack that lets 6 people play). There are also variations of the game like Seafarers of Catan
I really like the following games: Curses, Imagine If....., and Things. They are all super fun and games I would play with my family as well as freinds.
settlers of catan!! i hate most board games but my younger brother made me play it one day. Good strategic, easy to play game. We have the expansion pack.
Mad gab is also fun.
There is an expansion pack for Apples to Apples that you could get for them to add on to. I also second Catch Phrase!! GREAT game.
I immediately thought of Catch Phrase! as did a couple of other people... must be a good one!
Some friends play "Banana Gram"> It is kinda like scrabble. Fun!!!! The packaging is a little canvas banana shaped zipper bag with the tiles inside. Small and easy to travel with and store.
How abour Cranium or Pictionary?
Wow old thread, I was just thinking "Christmas already!??!" :O
