25-35 Pounds By Christmas? ***GROUP CLOSED***

Quote  |  Reply

Christmas is approximately 22 weeks away, give or take a few days. I would like to lose a minimum of 28 pounds by then...but losing 35 pounds would be even more awesome!!! I think this is a healthy and realistic goal...25-35 pounds in about, let's call it 21 weeks, is the equivalent of losing 1.19-1.66 pounds a week.
Would anyone like to join me? I would like to find a group of committed people who can support one another and celebrate together all along the way. Is anyone with me? I find it easiest to weigh in on Fridays, but we can each weigh in whenever. Just check in and support one another at least twice a week!
I currently weigh 222.4...I am trying to get to 195 by Christmas and 188 would be downright awesome!

Count me in!!

Age: 28

Height: 5'11

SW for CC: 205

CW: 204.5

GW:175 for now, could change once I get there.Smile

I started CC on the 11th of July. Weight have fluctuated everyday since. My lowest weight was last tuesday at 202. Gonna weigh in on Fridays! Good Luck!

Ohh... I'm starting to get it now... So everybody gets together. starts groups, weighs in. and encourges each other and all that! lol. So this is what CC is all about? Well count me in. I'd love to lose my 25-35 pounds way before christmas but I know that isn't healty. I've lost about 40 pounds in less than two months, but lately I have been slipping up (eating too much, skipping excersise, etc) and havent't been steadily losing like I was. Now i'll go down a pound, go up two pounds, then down 2 pounds, up three, you get the picture... lol. Well here are my stats... Let's see...

Male (Obviously)

Height: 6'0

SW: 276Lbs.

CW: 236.8Lbs.

GW: 200Lbs.

I weigh myslef every morning, so the weigh in date really doesn't matter, so I'll be in touch with all of you. Good luck, and let's all do our best!!

I'd like to join!  I've lost 85 lbs to date and need to lose 26 more to hit my goal.

I've been stagnant for a few months now so hopeully this will help!  Will start weighing every Friday and report back.

Good luck everyone!

I think this might help keep me encouraged.  Currently I live in MPLS, MN but I spend most of my time in Madison WI - all the driving back and forth (though it's well worth it for someone I love) usually means eating pretty crappy.  The two lives also makes keeping a routine difficult.  My gym membership allows me to be a member in both cities, now I just need the help.  I'll update my profile and details sometime this week but I would love to see how much I can drop by Christmas.

guess I better go buy a scale for the guys house - adding yet another 'two of everything'!  I'm looking forward to working with all of you and I'll report back on Friday!  Thanks for setting up the group!

Count me in. I'm thinking out loud

GW: 125 however, the holidays, my birthday, hmmm....I would like to post 125 pounds by Christmas. I am currently hovering at 159 pounds.

7/28: CW: 159, BMI: 30.0, BF%: 40.5 GW: 137

Good luck to ALL.

I'm right there with you! I've been struggling to lose weight for a really long time, and I've resorted to some pretty unhealthy measures to do so.  I went from 184 to 164, where I'm currently stuck.  I would love to be 145, hopefully a little sooner than christmas...but I definitely need help and motivation to get there.

Current weight :164

Goal weight: 140-145

Height: 5'10''

Age: 18

ooh, I want in too! Especially if we can motivate each other through the first of the food-li-days, like Thanksgiving...grrr.

SW/CW: 184

GW by Xmas: 160

Height: 5'2

Good luck to us all and Friday's work fine for me!

I'd like to join please.  I am fairly new to the site.  I'm 5'7 an my SW is 305.  If I have to pick a goal weight for Christmas I guess I'll try for the 250 mark.

I would love to join this group.  Friday weigh-ins work for me.

CW: 152.
SW: 180 (October, 2006).

In July 2007 I was down to 132 pounds.  I stopped 7 pounds short of my GW: 125.  As you can see the last 10 pounds proved to be the most elusive.

Unfortunately, after a number of different excuses for not exercising this year I have gained back a significant part of what I worked so hard to lose.

It has been a year since I stopped working out and watching what I eat.  Over the weekend someone mentioned to me that it looked like I had gained my weight back.  At first I was totally distraught, but after thinking about what she said I realized she was right to some degree.  I weighed in today for the 1st time since March and realized I had gained almost 1/2 of my weight back.  I AM DETERMINED TO GET BACK TO WHERE I LEFT OFF (132) AND LOSE THOSE FINAL 7 LBS.

I cannot lose this weight without a support group.  I've read all your posts and believe this CC group could offer great encouragement to see me through to my GW weight of 125.   I look forward to hearing about everyone's progress and offering whatever I can to this group's discussion.

Yes!  I'm going to join too!  Friday weigh-ins work for me as well.  I just began my weight loss journey about a month ago, and I like the sound of losing just over a pound a week.  It seems doable.  Here are my stats:

Age: 21

SW: 147

CW: 142

GW: 120

This works out to exactly one pound a week for me!  Can I do it?!?  I KNOW I CAN.  WE ALL CAN!

Good luck to everyone in the group, I look forward to checking in with all of you every week!

Count me in. Friday weigh-ins sound fine to me. I've lost 20 lbs so far, 12 lbs in the last one and a half month. I would love to lose more

Hello everyone. I have a Question about the burn meter. Should the two numbers match? I find this and the eat meter confusing. Let me know. Thanks!

I'm going to Paris on Monday for 4 days! We'll see if I can keep it down to somewhere normal.
