25-35 Pounds By Christmas? ***GROUP CLOSED***
Christmas is approximately 22 weeks away, give or take a few days. I would like to lose a minimum of 28 pounds by then...but losing 35 pounds would be even more awesome!!! I think this is a healthy and realistic goal...25-35 pounds in about, let's call it 21 weeks, is the equivalent of losing 1.19-1.66 pounds a week.
Would anyone like to join me? I would like to find a group of committed people who can support one another and celebrate together all along the way. Is anyone with me? I find it easiest to weigh in on Fridays, but we can each weigh in whenever. Just check in and support one another at least twice a week!
I currently weigh 222.4...I am trying to get to 195 by Christmas and 188 would be downright awesome!

Challenge weight loss - 17.4 lbs, 4.6 pounds to Challenge Goal
I guess it was a premature freakout last week about my weight loss stalling. I'm still running the c25k program, I really think that is keeping my metabolism up.
melinda, SO happy to "see" you again. Congratulations to all of you who are still going in the right direction, even if you aren't going to make your Christmas goal, all of you will definitely weigh LESS than you did when you began the challenge, so I believe that constitutes a SUCCESS!

It's been a little challenging... All the bills for my MIL are rolling in and, of course she had no will so we are running aground like crazy settling her estate. On top of that, we are expecting to close on our new home any day now, so I've just been eating one meal a day in the evenings and going straight to bed. I know I will get it together, but it's going to take a little time I guess.
Anyway, congrats to those who are bringing down the numbers and hang in there to those who are in a "holding pattern." Have a beautiful weekend, and tell someone today how much you appreciate them.

Challenge weight loss - 21.2 lbs, .8 pounds to Challenge Goal
I'm calling it a "win" my friends! We are leaving for 12 days of vacation today, sitting by the pool and enjoying the sunshine in the company of family. I'm not counting calories, not weighing my food and not logging ANYthing. Back to work in January though - my original long term goal is 119, but I'll reevaluate after vacation. I'm not sure 6 pounds is going to be enough to put me where I want to be. Thank you for all your support this year, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah or Joyous whatever holiday you may observe.
