25-35 Pounds By Christmas? ***GROUP CLOSED***
Christmas is approximately 22 weeks away, give or take a few days. I would like to lose a minimum of 28 pounds by then...but losing 35 pounds would be even more awesome!!! I think this is a healthy and realistic goal...25-35 pounds in about, let's call it 21 weeks, is the equivalent of losing 1.19-1.66 pounds a week.
Would anyone like to join me? I would like to find a group of committed people who can support one another and celebrate together all along the way. Is anyone with me? I find it easiest to weigh in on Fridays, but we can each weigh in whenever. Just check in and support one another at least twice a week!
I currently weigh 222.4...I am trying to get to 195 by Christmas and 188 would be downright awesome!

It's a little confusing until you get used to them. The eat meter keeps track of the number of calories you have logged. The burn meter shows how many calories you burn during the day just being you. The bigger number shows an estimate of how many you've burned up until right now, the smaller number at the top is the estimate of how many you'll burn that day. This is based on your settings and before you log in extra exercise. I use the sedentary setting so mine is more accurate for me!

Hello! I would love to join this group! I started CC on July 16, 2008 and have lost 7# so far! I am 5'9 female. GW 160 My goal weight for christmas is 199! So 35 pounds to go! I am excited, don't remember the last time there was a 1 in front of my weight!

I would like to join in as well. I think I need some more faithful (committed) friends and accountability to really succeed at this thing. So far the Me, Myself and I group aren't having much success! We go like gangbusters for a while (hence the LW of 186) then one of us gets discouraged and the other two stray and we bounce back up (the CW of 205.5). So, I am hoping that hooking up with some more faithful supporters will help keep me on track! I hope that Santa's elves are ready.....It looks like they are going to be making a whole lot of new wardrobes this Christmas!

I just joined this yesterday. I am ready to lose weight and get into shape...some other shape than marshmellow(thats what I feel like anymore). I would love to lose 25-35 lbs by Christmas and have some friends to help me with it.

About 6 or 7 years ago I weighted about the same as I am now. I started a drastic diet then and I lost all the weight in about 3 months. I don't want to do the same as before since I was in about 800 to 900 calories per day, but I don't think that I can be happy with half a pound to one per week. I think that is not enough.
I am trying to lose at least 3 Lb per week this time and I am eating between 1200 to 1500 calories. I have exercise all of my life so I don't have any problems doing so 5 to 6 times per week although I am in my forties now and It seems that is harder after you are in your forties to loose weight.
The last time I weighted myself (about two weeks ago) I weighted about 184 with clothes(I was at the Dr office). I plan to weight myself again the last day of July and every 30 days from then on, or at the most every two weeks. Some people said that doing so every day can discourage the person trying to lose weight. Oh! I am 5' 2"

Hello all, I am new to the group and would love to get involved with this challenge. I lost 50lbs but have since gained alot of the weight back after quitting smoking! I work out 5 days ( cardio kickboxing, resistance training) walk my dogs daily and eat "OK". I need to cut out the drinking and watch myself on the weekend. Maybe need to start jogging???

I would like to join too! My heaviest weight was 210 lbs a couple of years ago - I felt terrible - I never want to get that big again - I'm 5'7! I joined CC last November at 190 lbs, I am now down to 180 lbs, but have lost and gained the same weight for the last few months...! So - I have lost 30 lbs but need to lose another 30! It would be fantastic to lose that much by Christmas. Friday weigh-ins are fine for me. Hope I am not too late to join!
