Christmas Miracle Challenge!
Hey there yall..
I am looking for some people to get into a serious challenge mode!!! To loose a goal weight by Christmas! It will be the best present you can give to yourself!

This is going to be mine every week:
10 miles on my bike
700 crunches
300 minutes of cardio and weights
Is that good enough? I don't know I guess after my first week I'll find out!! lol. We will start on Monday after we get some people interested!!
Start September 20th
End December 25th
We can do this. Challenge yourself to move weekly. This will be awesome and we can loose the weight by Christmas!!

Workout: Most days on home glider/eliptical but now that it's cooler I can walk/run outdoors... some free weights
Food: I love fruit and veggies... I'm finding it hard to eat healthy with my family around. :( I eat wonderfully until it comes to sweets. Fast food/snack foods/decandent meals don't bother me at all to try and resisist... it's almost always the sugar.
Weekly Goal: 500 cal deficit a day. Excercise every single day at least a little bit.

Healthy eating while I'm at Uni, and go to my kickboxing class at least 2 out of 3 times per week for 1.5 hours each class. That will be my weekly challenge!

I'm trying to lose based mostly on my diet. I really want to keep focused on my goal and not get discouraged every other day and driven to the point of recklessness only to recommit myself the next day. I want to learn to eat healthy all the time and get my weight down to my ideal size.
I've been at this plateau for the past 3 weeks and can't seem to get down below 150... its very frustrating... but I'm going to do it!

Hi everyone! Finally a good group I can join!

How often do you want to weight-in? Weekly!
Goal by Christmas? to weight 170 pounds and be a size 8 or 10 (currently a size 12/14)
What do you do to workout? Oye, my problem is eating. I workout 6 days a week but always ruin my great workout by eating badly! I LOVE food. My goal is going to be to eat clean (natural foods, no fake stuff or processed) and keep my calories to 1200 on non-workout days and 1500 on workout days (approved by my doctor).
I am trying to lose 2 pounds per week! BUT since I'll be in Hawaii (YAY!) from the 25th until October 12th, I can't weigh in for awhile.
This week's goals:
continue 300 minutes of cardio week (120 of those minutes trying for kickboxing!)
continue 2 or more full body muscle workouts per week.
be 193 before getting on the plane this Friday!

@Monkey! Hey I love the twilight series too! My husband and I are obsessed!(I hate to admit!)
I also do kickboxing. Isn't is amazing! It kicks my butt! I have a heart rate moniter and I burn up to 800 in an hour class and 1200 in an hour and half class.
First Report In:
Lost 1 pound - 14 more to go in the challenge!
Walked at least 10,000 steps every day and alternated Joel Harper and Lotte Burke workouts every day.

Hey all~! Happy to see some new faces! I'm really stoked about this challenge. And so far I'm doing pretty well! One of my goals that I set for myself was to weigh 169.0 on Friday, but that happened today! Yay! But I will keep my goal the same just in case my weight decides to go up again. But so far so good!

Well guys, it's Monday!!! Time to start the challenge!! I'm super dooper excited!! Only terrrible thing is I have to leave Wednesday and be gone till Saturday for a wedding I'm shooting in North Carolina (I"m from KY). SOOO I'm gonna try and pack a lot of fruits and veggies and still get in some kind of exercise while I'm there. I did wake up this morning and have a yummy bowl of Cherrios and a Banana.
I sit on my butt all day at work (thankfully no one is around since I own my own business with my dad) but I can stop right now and do 100 crunches!!!

Ok....I'm off to the gym for session 1 of 3 weight trainings this week (as per this week's goal) and today went well (drank more water and ate well). I will do my 5k walk with dog when I get back home. And okay....I'll try 100 crunches

I just got back from my first session at the gym!!! I am def. feeling it! I didn't want to leave either, but my husband who went with me (yay hubby!) wasn't feeling too good so we had to leave, but I did manage to make my hour mark per my weekly goal! I also did 45 minutes/ 10.5 miles on the stationary bike! I know I'll feel it tomorrow! :) Good luck everyone for our first week!
What if we make our weigh in day on Monday's since today is the day we started?

Monday's sound good to me, plus that keeps us honest all weekend.
I also want to change my exercise goals. So, instead of stressing about what exercise I did or hold myself to a specific exercise routine I want my goal to be at least 30 min of Cardio 3-5 days a week and 30 min strength training 3 days a week. I think this way I will meet my goals and be less stressed.
Monday sounds great to me. I'm leaving to go out of town tomorrow, so I'm a little nervous about the weigh in but I'll try to be very good this weekend. :) I'm very excited to have so mahy people in this with me!! Yay for us!!

What do you do to workout? Weight lifting 3 times most weeks. Hiking, walking, jogging, or running 5 or more miles 6 times most weeks. Eat right? I journal all my food. Make sure I burn at least 250 more calories a day than I take in most days, get at least 80 grams of protein and at most 55 grams of fat (at most 15 grams saturated fat) most days.
ALSO I want you to make weekly challenges My challenge this week is 7 hours of cardio exercise.
I've been working on this for 13 months and have lost 85.0# with just 5.0# more to go to reach my goal. My actual goal date is December 1 which is 70 days away. That's just 0.5# a week, so I know it can be done and I am really already beginning the transition to maintenance.
