Does chromium picolinate help you to lose weight?

Answer

As a dietary supplement, chromium picolinate is used to promote weight loss, build muscle, reduce body fat, and enhance the function of insulin, but these effects have not been proved. Chromium is an essential trace mineral, which the body needs to function properly. It is found in many foods, but usually only in small amounts; relatively good sources include meat, whole grain products and some fruits, vegetables, and spices. More research is needed to determine the full range of chromium’s role in the body.
