Burn more calories than you consume.

That's pretty much all there is to it. ;-)

Exercise and eat fewer calories than you consume.

Choose an exercise regime you can do....Walking, Cycling, Hiking etc..What ever turns your crank.

Eat alot of fruits and veggies before eating anything else on the plate. They will fill you up so you don't over eat.

Drink only Water, Black Coffee, Tea, or other low / no cal bevs.

It is all about a life style change. Lookup clean/balanced eating. Exercise 6 days a week with a mix of cardio and strength training. Lift hard and heavy 3 days a week. Muscle burns more calories than fat. Don't be afraid of lifting heavy. Girls don't "bulk" up unless they are taking steroids or training for the Olympics. Not consecutive days.

Cardio and other strength training work 6 days a week. Mix the cardio up. Interval training, HIIT 3 of the 6 cardio days.

Think about everything you put in your mouth. Count calories. Eat fresh, whole foods when possible. Complex carbohydrates, limit simple carbs. Whole grain products, whole grain bread, cereal, brown rice, whole grain pasta.

Fresh fruits and vegetables, lowfat dairy, lean meats and protein, healthy fats.

Don't fall for any of the fad diets. Stay away from processed foods, fat free and sugar free foods, diet foods, fried and fast foods, pop and other sugary or sugar free drinks. Don't drink your calories. Drink plenty of water.

Move your body in general. Take the stairs, walk on your break at work, park in a spot far away from the door when shopping. Just get up and move.
