| 16 | ounces lean ground beef |
| 16 | ounces ground turkey breast |
| 3 | tablespoons olive oil |
| 4 | cloves garlic |
| 21 | ounces tomatoes, crushed, canned |
| 12 | ounces tomatoes, diced, canned |
| 6 | ounces tomato paste |
| 1 | cup carrot, grated |
| 3 | tablespoons basil, fresh |
| 3 | tablespoons parsley, fresh |
- Brown the meat in olive oil.
- Add the garlic and cook for 3 minutes, stirring.
- Add all the other ingredients.
- Cook, covered, for at least 45 minutes.
- Serving size, about 1 cup
