my classes start in the late afternoon
so i have no reason to be up in the morning and i always sleep in.
which means i am awake until about 3 or 4 in the morning.
and that usually means I snack!! [I just ate a bowl of special K and 4 mini chocolate bars!!!] i feel sick
I really want to change this, i've tried to make myself wake up with an alarm a couple of times to get a more normal sleep schedule but so far it has failed
what i would love to do is wake up first thing in the morning and hit the gym
back when i was working i had no problem falling asleep at 10/11pm
the only way i can do it again is to force myself to wake up earlier
does anybody else have this insomnia problem that ads to their weight?
Yup, but your sleep patterns are relatively easy to change. Set an alarm for like 8/9am or whatever but leave the alarm clock across the room from your bed so you have to get up to turn it off. DON'T GET BACK INTO BED!!!!! It'll be tough that first day but that night you'll be tired so go to bed around 10/11pm. Repeat again the next day.
I managed to do it and my body got used to it so quickly that I would naturally wake up at around 6.30am and go running. Got out of the habit now unfortunately but I'm going to get on it again :)

i know that doing this a couple of times would fix the problem, and i tried the alarm thing
i swear every 5 minutes between 9am and noon i got up, hit the snooze and got right back into bed!!
i'm terrible!!
I know what it's like but you've just got to force yourself to stay up. Open the curtains, do some stretches, go straight into the bathroom and brush your teeth, wash your face. Also, stay away from caffeine after around 3pm so that you can sleep properly that night
I used to set the alarm on my cell phone, keep it across the room, get out of bed when the alarm went off, hit the snooze, and bring the phone back to bed with me. A bit counterproductive.
today i woke up at 9:30!!
boy do i hope i can sleep early tonight
Woohoo!! Good luck :)
