Clean Eating Challenge

Quote  |  Reply
Ok, there seems to be a mysterious condition going around that is causing sabotage to our eating. I know I'm not alone here when I admit that my eating this past little while leaves a lot to be desired, causing slight weight gain after such hard work to lose it.

I also know, that I am the same person who was practically flawless in my eating for like almost 90 days straight, so I know I can get ahold of this - who's with me??

There is no deadline for sign-ups, anyone can join at any time!!

All you have to do is check in once a week (at least) & let us know how you're doing. If/when you "cheat", simply let us know & I will restart your start date.

A cheat is defined as whatever a cheat would mean to you personally, whether it be going over your calories, bingeing, not eating enough, too many treats, etc. We all know when we've cheated, so just be honest with yourself

Let's be honest with each other & keep each other eating clean k? The PRIZE to the winner? Well that's easy - weight loss!!!!!!!!! (or maintenance for those at that stage!) Let's do this!

Dee

********************************************* ***

Here's the list of all signed up & the new rules:
(let me know if I missed you)

If you lose your mind & cheat, just let me know. Then you can re-start from the next day. I'll simply unbold your name, along with updating your new start date.

After being clean for a week after a re-start, I'll re-bold your name. So you always have a chance to feel like you are succeeding.

Also, if you just don't feel like you want to partake in the challenge anymore, can you let me know so I can remove your name from the list? Thanks!!

Anyone not checking in for one week (December 25 - December 31) will be removed from the challenge.

Good luck all! People's names in bold have been going the longest or have not restarted for at least a week - way to go!!!!!!!!

ok I am off too a good start I worked on the treadmill for 35 minutes including another 5 min run YES!! 2 days in a row . one question does that feeling of omg I'm gonna die ever go away?

Dee I will look for the thread today after school. I posted some pics and we will see what a difference 30 days will make. I worked out on the universal weights today and increased my weights a few pounds but only could manage around 7 minutes maybe a few more 2morrow, any wayits better then nothing. Do you think I can do that learn to run since I can only go a few mins right now?

oh well of too my coffee and  fruit bowl before the kids get up. then we are all off to class. Heres to feeling good and clean WOOO HOOO!
I'm here and I ate a little more then I wanted yesterday but it was foods that are still on my plan. So I think I'm still clean.

mabear32059 Great pix, and yes that should go away.
good morning!

I was REALLY bad this past weekend, so count me as a start over! :) I'm not going to stress about what happened though... huge, HUGE party... tons of cake, I made spinach dip, 6 CASES of beer, tons of jell-o shots w/whipped cream...  need I say more? And what better way to cure a hangover with greasy or salty food :)

but, NEW START!! One bad weekend out of many good ones is not going to kill me :) Set me back a little, sure, but make me give up all of my hard work thus far, NO WAY!!

So, day one again! I'll let you guys know how I do on my big camping trip this upcoming weekend... hoping to see a drop after hiking ALL weekend :)
Today begins day 8, clean eating! I am so frustrated though! I was down to 150 yesterday morning. No TTOTM, very clean eating. Right around 1200 to 1400 cals each day. And I am back up to 152 this morning! How does this happen over night? I am hoping tomorrow the scale will say I am back down again! I  have worked SOOOOO hard!!! My short term goal is to be in the 140's by June 1st!!!! Now I am worried!!!
Let's just say I really enjoyed girls night out this weekend...start me over!  Thanks!   Have a great week!
thanxs sharkbev. I like your goal photo can I be the oneon the right? lol
Today is the beginning of Day 5 and things are going fabulous!!! I am so thankful for this challenge it is really keeping me in check. Thanks Dee for inviting me to join!!
Well, my weekend in Denver was fabulous; tons of fun and tons of great food.  It wasn't a tragic splurge, but there was plenty of stuff that was not on my intended list... start me over please!
Hey peeps! Tried the new shoes today & they're just so comfy & squishy cushiony! yay!

Have a great eating day planned, lots of fruit & a steak dinner too! Yum!!!

rezaiasl - it's gonna be up to you whether you think you need to start over or not. Can you fit your meal, even though it will be higher, within your allowable range anyway?? I think the defintion for me is over-doing something you should only eat in moderation. So it'll be up to how ever you feel after you've done it. Regardless, enjoy yourself!!!

lisa - I'm so glad it's getting easier for you, way to go!

mabear -  the feeling of "omg I"m gonna die" does lessen for sure, but I do have some days when I still feel that a wee bit. The great thing about the Learn to Run thing is that it starts off sooo easy. For example, the first week each time you run, you walk for 3 minutes, run for one minute (for 3.1 miles or however long, like your 2 miles). You do this at least 3x a week if not 4. & then the 2nd week the run time goes up. Anyone can do this, I'm sure.
Way to get some b4 pics up! I can't wait to see your body change!!!

srd- sounds like a fun party! I've reset you. Way to get back in the game & not get discouraged. Tha'ts great!!! good luck camping this weekend.

carie- girl, it could be anything, but I understand your frustration. You WILL make it to those 140s for sure. Whatever that 2lb came from shoudl go back away as long as you keep up the clean eating & drinking lots of water. Good luck!!!

gabpco- ladies night out! yay! glad you had fun!

thesilverstar - you're very welcome, glad the challenge is keeping you in check.

Dee
Just checking in- Dee started me over a few days ago.  I'm pleased to see I'm not the only one.  The important thing is that we didn't give up, right?

I actually fell off the wagon in a weird way. Just over a week ago, seasonal allergies aggravated my asthma to a point where I didn't do anything but cough for several days and nights.  One day, I didn't eat a single thing, and the next, I managed barely 900 calories.  After going to the doctor and getting straightened out, I ate whatever I wanted for the next few days.  I think that was probably the right thing to do, but my plan involved far too much ice cream (so good on the throat!) to be considered clean eating.

One thing I've noticed is that I tend to screw up only in the evenings.  I have such a strong habit of snacking that I can take an otherwise great day and have no problem adding 500 calories, even when I'm not hungry.  It's just mindless grazing.  So I have a new rule.  No food after 8 pm.  Sort of.  I can have one 100-calorie bag of popcorn if I just have to munch, but I can't have even that after 9.

It's been kind of tough, but much easier actually than allowing myself to eat just a little.  I've always been kind of all or nothing, I guess!
Bad day.... there was a donut involved.....start me over please!
This feeling is not worth the little  pleasure that donut brought!
hey carie - i totally know what u mean.

i did pretty good today, i didn't have the cookie in english class.  it was only 2nd period so that was a good start.  i knew it was too early tho anyway.  (i hate eating early). im worried about tonight tho.  usually i watch 24 adn eat dinner, so im 'conditioned' to eat while watching it.  and tonite is the 2 hr finale (YAY) but i won't or shouldn't be eating.  hope i can stand it!
still goin clean!  gosh I really keep forgetting about this thread.

but i'd really like to say: GIVE IT UP rezaiasl, lilazngirley & jjlewis305.  I want to be bold!
I need another restart. :-[

I went on Vacation and we ate out ALL THE TIME!!! I should've tried harder but I didn't and no worries!
hi gang! I am going to a baby shower at the local pub (we are quite the horsey folks) at 7pm and just finished the largest bowl of lettuce you ever saw (with a tad of diet dressing and ff feta) so that I don't go off the challenge.... i will order a salad when i get there, too! (and to top it off the cake is in MY fridge!)  :):)
Still clean!

alright. thought i was gonna get through today. but im starting now. RIGHT NOW
Please add me to the list. Yesterday I took a deep breath and told myself that it was no more excuses and that I had to stop plateauing myself. I want to lose weight, and I'm gonna do it! I want to become part of this support.
HAHA neverr!!! Although, there are a lot of special events coming up this week that might cause me to split the challenge! Dodgers game, birthday and weddings, etc....

moderation is key..i need to rmember. I'm going to allow myself one of those days to eat some treats, but not over indulge.
I wieght my self again today and lost 2 more lbs slowly coming off but i heard that it stays stays off if you loss it slower. lets hope so that is 7 total yea!! have a great day.
