Ok, there seems to be a mysterious condition going around that is causing sabotage to our eating. I know I'm not alone here when I admit that my eating this past little while leaves a lot to be desired, causing slight weight gain after such hard work to lose it.
I also know, that I am the same person who was practically flawless in my eating for like almost 90 days straight, so I know I can get ahold of this - who's with me??
There is no deadline for sign-ups, anyone can join at any time!!
All you have to do is check in once a week (at least) & let us know how you're doing. If/when you "cheat", simply let us know & I will restart your start date.
A cheat is defined as whatever a cheat would mean to you personally, whether it be going over your calories, bingeing, not eating enough, too many treats, etc. We all know when we've cheated, so just be honest with yourself
Let's be honest with each other & keep each other eating clean k? The PRIZE to the winner? Well that's easy - weight loss!!!!!!!!! (or maintenance for those at that stage!) Let's do this!

Day four perfect. Too much sodium, but I do not consider it a cheat. It was in northern white beans for dinner, and very lean ham. Both allowed on my diet, but WOW! Over 4000mg for the day! YUCK! Chugging the water yesterday and today!
So far, so good. Nutrition wasn't great yesterday, but I stayed well within my calorie allowance. I'm gonna have to flush out all the extra sodium today. That corndog was so worth it, though! My main concern with this is staying within my calorie allowance, since I eat super-healthy 90 percent of the time. When I go over on my calories, it's typically with fruit, and/or whole wheat crackers. I'm so boring!
Saturday is my birthday, so that will be tough. We're having chinese food, and I already know what I'm having. Very high in sodium, but full of veggies, and not too bad on the fat side. 764 calories. Bada bing. (Since it's one of my favorite treats, I already analyzed it a few months ago! The restaurant was very cool and actually helped me with the info. Their attitude is, if you know what you're getting, you'll feel more comfortable having it from time to time. Smart people!)
The cake will be a challenge, but since my sister is making it, I know it will be a work of art, so I will try to get most of my enjoyment from looking at it, and sampling a tiny piece, just so I can tell her how good it is. Plus, I'll be walking for an hour in the morning, and possibly hiking that afternoon, so I anticipate it to be a good day, nutrition-wise, and in every other way, hopefully. By hopefully, I mean, I love presents, but I hope no one gives me a box of chocolates! It's been known to happen! :-)

Oh, Oh, I want in! I need some motivation to get moving. I have been steadily losing for five months, but really slowly (about 2 pounds a month). I have only cut back my calorie intake a little and upped my activity a little, so things have been slow, steady, and easy. I have been thinking lately though that I want to get things moving a little faster. I could work harder at this and still not suffer, so I'm ready to give it a try!

Is it too late to jump in? I started my diet again on 5/1 after gaining back all 23 pounds I lost last year. I am 154 at the moment and am trying to get back to 137.
I am in also. I wonder how we could track this though...I guess just log in and update this way. Wish we could do something like nike.com plus program where you join challenges for runs and see your team status...that would be cool.

Okay... I just read about this challenge and want in. This is exactly what I need to stay on track. I know its a few days late but I was "clean" the first two day of May and would love the challenge and company. I have gained and lost the same 8 lbs since January and need the incentive.

I'd like to join the challenge today as well! I know I'm a late starter, but I'm just starting my weightloss journey. I lost about 30 pounds 2 decades ago, and put on 15 of them after my two kids were born. Now I've just quit a very stressful job. I learned something about myself at that job - that I'm an emotional eater! Who knew! Well, I gained an additional 15 pounds on that job so I'm starting at the beginning. I sure could use help to keep me on track. I start out strong but need the community to stay committed. I'm starting at 147 (I'm 5' 6"). I'd like to be 130 by the end of June, so I can't miss a step. Here we go!!!
I love this idea! My challenge is logging on here more often. I also am starting at 137 today, although I am down 8 lbs from the beginning of february. Calorie count has helped me because, since I love food, knowing how many calories I eat helps me to cut back on them.
I also want to be 125...although it has been years since I was that small! I dont have a problem with sweets, but I love fatty and salty foods!! I have a suggestion that seems to helping me....lots of fiber!!!and lots of water!!! I seem to eat less calories that way.

After two days of clean eating, my scale loves me again, or rather I love it!!! Down 3 lbs from my little oopsie gain. I'm at my lowest weight since I started (154.8) yay!
So far today's great. I'm in the groove & I plan on staying here. It feels so much better to eat perfect doesn't it????

You know, there are a lot of "challenges" in these forums. A lot of them start in the "games" forum, but also in w/l, fitness & motivation. There's a virtual 5K challenge that started in the fitness section. ANd a monthly weight loss challenge in teh games forum that you have till tonite to sign up for. Just go browsing & you'll find lots!!

I want to try too. Last year lost almost 40 lbs, since then have regained some. I have been trying to get off that last 10. I lose a few lbs during the week and gain it back every weekend. The weekends are a big challenge for me. Hope this challenge helps!!
I want in too, sorry I'm late! Can't you just feel it when you eat the wrong foods. Too many carbs, I need to replace my simple carbs with complex ones. Don't you wish that eating and sitting in front of the TV would help you loose weight? HeHe Unfortunatly for most of us it's the exact opposite. Whenever I get up early, go to the gym and eat right, I feel GREAT!! Oh and drinking water is essential, anyone have tricks for drinking more water? Don't know whats wrong, but I just don't remember until its like 6pm then I'm trying to down a lot of water before bed, bad idea!!
I'd like to join. I just started with a trainer at the gym and I need something else to keep me honest so I'm not wasting my time or money. My food needs a clean-up.
LUNAR-to drink more water, I use a small cup (about 6-8 ounces) I fill it up over and over all day long. It's not as overwhelming as a 32 ounce jug and I end up drinking at least 32 ounces or more. It gets you moving back to the source of water all day too! Hope that helps.
Ahh Birthday all over and done with! Bring on the clean eating! I have lunch out today with a friend though (would have done it yesterday but had lunch with my parents) I know we're going to a pizza & pasta place, hopefully they'll have a chicken salad or something on the menu so I'll be able to stay within cals for the day

today has been a pretty good day for me... i'm slowly eating up to the amount of cals i should be having... i usually dip under 1200 by a bit. i've been drinking lots of water lately! does anyone know how much water weighs?
