Ok, there seems to be a mysterious condition going around that is causing sabotage to our eating. I know I'm not alone here when I admit that my eating this past little while leaves a lot to be desired, causing slight weight gain after such hard work to lose it.
I also know, that I am the same person who was practically flawless in my eating for like almost 90 days straight, so I know I can get ahold of this - who's with me??
There is no deadline for sign-ups, anyone can join at any time!!
All you have to do is check in once a week (at least) & let us know how you're doing. If/when you "cheat", simply let us know & I will restart your start date.
A cheat is defined as whatever a cheat would mean to you personally, whether it be going over your calories, bingeing, not eating enough, too many treats, etc. We all know when we've cheated, so just be honest with yourself
Let's be honest with each other & keep each other eating clean k? The PRIZE to the winner? Well that's easy - weight loss!!!!!!!!! (or maintenance for those at that stage!) Let's do this!

hey guys still clean . My test is over and now I am stress free for almost three weeks. Well except for the kids. So I am deciding to focust on my eating and exercising in theses next few weeks cause lord knows come Aug 20. all heck will break loose as we all go back to school, and I believe the best line of defense is to have a good strong plan. I will be taking my school scedual and makins a schedual around it to include a few classes at the gym and three hours for running time each week. especially since I Know I have longer school days this semester. I also want to see if I can come up with ideas for snacks that travel cause I will be spending 8to5 in school with no breaks It will through my cals off and I dont want a repeat of what happened last time.
Dee- I agree with you wholeheartidly about how hard it is to get back on the wagon once we make the desicion to for a pit stop. I keep saying look how long you lasted last time whats wrong with you? then out a guilt shove a handful of something yummy but not so healthy in my mouth. I think quiet time to reflect on the purpose of why we are doing this is an excellent idea. That is why I want to use this time to make a plan to safegaurd my routines of healthy living.

List updated! New 2nd & 3rd place people!! Congrats!!
I've been exercising and eating pretty clean for the past 8 months; I've lost 40 pounds (current BMI 26) and am more fit but my cholesterol profile got signficantly worse over that time. (TChol increased fom 206 to 246 and LDL increased from 118 to 154; at least the HDL got better from 43 to 46, and Triglycerides dropped from 226 to 118). I got a fancier test done, called a VAP profile, and although the pattern isn't the most atherogenic (risky) it's still pretty disturbing. I've been avoiding saturated fats (lean chicken, beef less than 3 times weekly, no pork, no processed meat); only monounsaturated oils, salads twice daily, 3-5 servings of vegetables and 2 fruits daily and high fiber starches. The only dietary things I can think of altering is that I eat eggs regularly, so I'll cut out the yolks, and I almost never drink any alcohol, so I'll take in a glass of wine a few times a week. So as of August 1st I have a new definition of clean for me, so please restart me tomorrow; I check the profile again in about 3 months.

I've been reading/skimming the last few pages and I'm wondering how many people here are emotional eaters, I know when I am stressed I want unhealthy, comfort foods more than anything else, I am definintely an emotional eater and I know where I learned it from too. But I'm wondering, who else is?
Dee - It's kind of a goal, a low weight you want to see again. =) I like having goal weights, then I break them up and give myself little checkmarks. Granted I get excited everytime I see a lower weight on the scale and see my bmi get better and better.

I'm clean! Yay! I have started chewing sugarless gum to help with cravings. This sounds rather crazy but it was the only thing that kept me from getting ice cream at midnight. Whatever works.

So sorry I didn't check in on time. I've been struggling with my carpal tunnel more than usual... so computer time really hurts!
But I'm going to be gone in Europe until Sept 1st. . . could I have Sept 1st as my restart date? I'll be darned if I'm in France and I'm not going to enjoy my food!

Doin' awesome here. Yesterday's good eating felt sooo great. When I had a craving, I just popped some grapes in my hole & that seemed to work. I didn't even have my skinny cow chocolate ice cream sandwich that I'm allowed. Yay!
I am also lovin' raw almonds like crazy these days. I grab a handful & it seems I'm satisfied for so long. I have also been grabbing a second handful, so I think I need to really watch that. They're so high in cals. But they're just yummmmmy!

buhri- I am not an emotional eater that I know of. I'm a bored eater. I eat when I'm just bored or watchign tv. I find if I keep myself so busy, I don't even think about wanting any bad snacks.
& ya, I guess seeing that low weight again is kind of a goal :) But I just can't wait to see lower than that. & I'll be absolutely flaberghasted when I see the 130s, holy crap what a day that will be!!!

Just feeling fustrated.cause For 17-18 days I have been working out and eating right With one slip and I just can't see any thing moving or shifting including that darn scale!!
I know I messed up big a few weeks ago and this is just one of my off days where I am feeling frustrated and tomorrow I'll be on top of the world again.but I want to get the venom out of my system so I can maybe focus on somthing Positive like the fact that I have been woerking out for as many days anywhere between 45 minutes to 2 hours. I have never gone that far before.
I am wanting to learn more strenght training I have found an interest so any one with tips for beginners I do light efforts now on a universal but would love to work with my boys and there barbell. You can send me a message.

Hey, still clean, but I do have a question. When people restart, don't they ever get to have their name in bold again, or is that gone forever? It seems like they should get to go back on the bold list with the restart date after they've stayed clean for a certain period of time. What do you think?
