Ok, there seems to be a mysterious condition going around that is causing sabotage to our eating. I know I'm not alone here when I admit that my eating this past little while leaves a lot to be desired, causing slight weight gain after such hard work to lose it.

I also know, that I am the same person who was practically flawless in my eating for like almost 90 days straight, so I know I can get ahold of this - who's with me?? 

There is no deadline for sign-ups, anyone can join at any time!!

All you have to do is check in once a week (at least) & let us know how you're doing. If/when you "cheat", simply let us know & I will restart your start date.

A cheat is defined as whatever a cheat would mean to you personally, whether it be going over your calories, bingeing, not eating enough, too many treats, etc. We all know when we've cheated, so just be honest with yourself

Let's be honest with each other & keep each other eating clean k? The PRIZE to the winner? Well that's easy - weight loss!!!!!!!!! (or maintenance for those at that stage!) Let's do this!

After being clean for a week after a re-start, I'll re-bold your name. So you always have a chance to feel like you are succeeding. 

Also, if you just don't feel like you want to partake in the challenge anymore, can you let me know so I can remove your name from the list? Thanks!!

Anyone not checking in for one week (December 25 - December 31) will be removed from the challenge.

Mabear - Awesome to hear you're seeing results! I think that's one of the hardest things for people to do; actually see results on their own bodies. The picture idea is a great one! I see pictures of myself from two Christmas's ago and I can't believe I used to not fit in a t-shirt that I almost swim in now. =3 Congrats on your success!

Yay! I'm excited I lasted almost a whole month, heh, there was that one drawback but... I'm glad I got a second chance and I've been working really hard on eating better since then. I've been taking longer and harder walks since I started, alternating routes so me and the puppies don't get bored. I do it every other day now to give my muscles some time to rest between. I've been really trying to get my protein up and I found these Powerbar ProteinPlus bars that I have a few of, and so long as I eat the bar and maybe some veggies or a light salad with it for lunch or dinner, it helps my daily protein big time.

srrussell3 - I'll get you that recipe. I warn you though.. it's too good for anyone's good.
I'm still eating clean. I survived a restaruant. :D

I am still eating clean and even had a good day for the most part. I went to the gym and got my measurements 2 days early so the rest of the week I could use the one closer to my home.

So Here are the results: Arms - 1 inch

       &nb sp;               &nb sp;               &nb sp;  Waiste-1 inch

       &nb sp;               &nb sp;               &nb sp;   Hips-1 inch

       &nb sp;               &nb sp;               &nb sp;   calves-1 inch

       &nb sp;               &nb sp;               &nb sp;  chest -1 inch

for an overall total of 5 inches gone!! My shoulders and thighs remained exectly the same!! I even got a compliment from someone at the gym who I guess was watching me work out and enrolled the same time I did she said she saw a big wieght losssince I started. Ok all good right1 well yeah but it even got a little weird. when I originally weighed in at the gym I weighed at maybe 1.5 pounds more then I did at home, So today I weighed in for a challenge got my weight at 7 am entered it and was at the gym by 10:30 am.

Heres where it gets kinda weird: I get there and am all siked over my measurements and then she puts the machine that measures my BMI.... my BMI increased by like 2 points??? The trainer doing it looked puzzled too. So then time for the weigh in My big moment of truth well in the morning I weighed 220.5 down finally 8 pounds from where I started a month ago..... this morning on the gym scale... 226.8 ??? I was crushed. but I hid it well and took my frustrations out in the zumba class. The trainer said that my body was just out of whack for the first month?? I told her that there was a difference of 6.8 pounds and she looked even more perplexed at how that could happen. I really am confused as to wich weight is right but I use my scale at home all the time even for some of these challenges. Someone has told me that it was normal body fluxation and that cause I weighed at the gym clothed and in shoes and had eaten breakfast that was more likely then not the difference. But does BMI fluxuate as well? anyone have any wise words to comfort a confused mind? I was talking this morning about buying a new scale that measures all that. now I am a little nervous about even going down the scale isle. Anyway I needed to get that out there! and I am still not finished doing the happy dance over my differences I see in the pics but it definily lends to the confusion?
mabear-  Don't worry, BMI is just a calculation using height and weight, it does not take into concideration your %muscle or fat.  The inches tell you a lot more about how you are changing.  Muscle is leaner "looking" and measures less than fat.  So by losing 5 inches you know you are losing fat and keeping/gaining muscle.  Muscle also weighs more than fat.  Anyway, with the differences in scales, every scale is different.  The weight difference could be due to time of day, how much food/water you have had, clothes, and if the scale was calibrated correctly.  If you weigh on your scale everytime, you have the best idea of weight loss because it is consistent.  You want to weigh at the same time, wearing the same thing, and on the same scale.  That gives you the best idea of how much weight you have lost.

I am definately doing better than I thought I would.
Well sadly I need to restart yet again.....I pigged out yesterday on healthy food and came in WAY under calories (I did alot of running too...trying to get ready for wrestling season again)....I was only at a net of 980 calories yesterday....woopsies

I am doing good... I really want to make a smoothie (don't worry, they're just fruit and light chocolate soymilk) but, I don't have the soymilk I need. I don't think it would taste good with Plain soymilk.Undecided

i went to a workshop yesterday & thankfully, they had good choices (i had a salad & used my own dressing).

what do you do when you're away at a meal time & there are no good choices available?!?
I need a restart. My guy is going away to school and last night was our last time with each other until Christmas. First we ate dinner together and then we went to DQ and then we ate another dinner way later in the night.  All meals were ridiculous amounts of calories. I actually was near to legitimately gaining a pound in a day. Ehh. Restart please.

Well guys, my rules are getting blurred in my mind. I think I need to re-evaluate what a cheat is for me & stick to it. I definitley need a restart regarless of what my rules are though. My hubby went to Costco & bought one of those huge bags of chocolate covered almonds. OMG I ate way too many. Did you know that 8 of those are like 220 cals!!?? Holy Sh*t hey??? Unreal!

As far as your bmi, etc. Dont' forget that with the new workouts, you're changing not only the size of your body but it's composition also (fat vs. muscle), so I think things can go weird. You're dropping the inches & weight so just keep on goin!

lofat- doing better than you thought you would is great! way to go!

laura- wrestling??? what kind of wrestling??

talkdoc- If I think I'll possibly be away for a mealtime, I just make sure to throw an energy bar in my car or purse, or just keep one or two in there just in case. I really love the Vector ones (chocolate one of course). Theyr'e aroudn 220 cals, so it should be enough to get you through to the next meal time.

chumbl3- oh so sad your guy's going away :( You're gonna miss him terribly!

I am going on a two-day road trip with 3 friends to the beach (couple hour drive) and I'm hoping I'll keep eating well there. I'll bring along some healthy snacks for all of us.

Also, I've discovered a new comfort-type food. Saltines and tuna. I don't know why but I really enjoy this combo and have to set everything out on a plate because if I just take the can or bag with me, I'll want to eat it all. I don't put anything in the tuna so it's not being tainted by mayo or anything, it's good protein too. =)

ok I know It has been more than a week sorry guys but with packing and everything by the time I get a free moment I sit down and passout, but I am still doing well with the clean eating, I am keeping track (as best I can) even though I don't log on here every day. I still manage to keep under my cals even though I have been eating out way more than normal. but with as hectic as things are can you please just mark me as away till the begining of October, I will be moved and setteled by then, so I can get back to routiene and check in every week and post more and stuff. but if I get a chance I will drop a post now and then and let everyone know how I am doing if that is ok. I'm a freestyle wrestler (like the kind that your high school wrestling team would do) I've been doing it for 8 years now, I love it.  I'm a 3 time state champ in womens freestyle wrestling here in michigan!
I've had a hard week, been slipping and now in free fall; please restart me on Aug 19.
excuses, excuses: we had friends over last night & i drank as if i was back in college (except i was drinking good wine instead of cheap beer).  ;)  one glass of wine became 2... etc.  mmm, siduri pinot noir. anyway,  please start me over.  my will power is my downfall.
