Ok, there seems to be a mysterious condition going around that is causing sabotage to our eating. I know I'm not alone here when I admit that my eating this past little while leaves a lot to be desired, causing slight weight gain after such hard work to lose it.

I also know, that I am the same person who was practically flawless in my eating for like almost 90 days straight, so I know I can get ahold of this - who's with me?? 

There is no deadline for sign-ups, anyone can join at any time!!

All you have to do is check in once a week (at least) & let us know how you're doing. If/when you "cheat", simply let us know & I will restart your start date.

A cheat is defined as whatever a cheat would mean to you personally, whether it be going over your calories, bingeing, not eating enough, too many treats, etc. We all know when we've cheated, so just be honest with yourself

Let's be honest with each other & keep each other eating clean k? The PRIZE to the winner? Well that's easy - weight loss!!!!!!!!! (or maintenance for those at that stage!) Let's do this!

If you lose your mind & cheat, just let me know. Then you can re-start from the next day. I'll simply unbold your name, along with updating your new start date.

After being clean for a week after a re-start, I'll re-bold your name. So you always have a chance to feel like you are succeeding. 

Also, if you just don't feel like you want to partake in the challenge anymore, can you let me know so I can remove your name from the list? Thanks!!

Anyone not checking in for one week (December 25 - December 31) will be removed from the challenge.

Dee might be tied up with her new job...?  Hope you're okay over there!  I was clean until Monday, but am back in the saddle.  I just read my friend's copy of French Women Don't Get Fat and am trying to put her tips to practice.  Blew it on Monday only because we ate dinner at friends' house and there was a killer crostata.  Not clean due to second helpings but it was worth it. Still clean! Classes started and now I'm exhausted all the time but I bring packed lunches everywhere!
need a restart for today 1/25/08. funny thing I went shopping to pick up some odds and ends right, well I have been craving icecream, and weird things lie any thing that has lots of onions and/or lemony tasting, so I see these weight watchers icecream novelties on sale 2 for $7. right. I get home and start unpacking and didn't realize that my son and hubby picked up some fish they found on sale and there was no room for the ice cream. So I took the three packages out of the boxes and packed them individually and found room for all but two  of the ice creams. couldn't let em melt. couldn't throw em away. so I ate them both! mmmm mmmm it was good then I realized ooops! but oh well they were weight watchers so I didin't feel so bad but I definitley need to restart.

I'm back!  I did pretty well while I was gone, but I will need a restart for January 6th - staying over at my friend's house always wreaks havoc on my eating choices.
still doing well> forgot to check in on monday due to be sick all weekend.  trying to figure out if being sick is a good or bad thing cause With what is going on now I can't eat much, which leaves me singing halelujiah(or however you spell it)

Hi gang. I don't know if I should stick to the thread because instead of "clean", I'm shooting for "balanced" and "budgeting", as per French Women Don't Get Fat.  So, in theory, a day of not clean eating could be erased by a day of cutting back.  I like this flexibility but I am not entirely sure I can do as the French.  Remains to be seen.  Nancy

Ciao, I'd like to join in!

Most of my troubles stem from a continuous cycle of one day not eating enough, and another day binge eating.  I need to start working on that.  I also have random soda and chocolate cravings, and they didn't stem until recently.

I have a copy of my weight chart (dated Jan 8 - Feb 12) to show where I've started and how I'm progressing.  I'll put up another chart either at the end of the month or at my "2-month" point, March 8.

Also - Starting with today is perfect, because I binged yesterday up to 2800 calories, and today is so far clean...
I've been really sick which has kept me clean. :( but I hate being sick.

Add me please. My "clean" eating qualifies as not eating past 730pm, and eating no more than 1500 calories (1300 is ideal).

*sigh* You don't know the trouble I've had with the box of Trix lately. I need to get clean!

Current weight: 128. <-- I'd like to average 125-127 

NEW MEMBER! I was in the going4gold gang for a while but fell off the wagon and now I'm miserable. Is it alright if we post what we've eaten for the day and all? I'm a runner who can easily gain and loose weight.

I'm around 150 (the scale says 145 but I don't believe it because I feel like 150 + pounds) and I want to weigh 130. My goal intake is 1,600-1,800 (any more would be kidding myself... I gain weight in a snap of a finger).

So far I've been binging and am totally annoyed that I gained +10 pounds since the holidays and appear to be still gaining. NO MORE I AM SICK OF MYSELF for doing this to myself.

Anyway my mom cooks and food and I've gotten suggestions to pre pack my meals for the day so i know exactly what I'm eating but I don't know because I like freshly warm foods oppose to microwaving them.

I need to gain determination/ motivation for eating and I need to figure out my eating patterns which I really don't understand.

Here's what i ate today:

 

Breakfast:

3.5 slices toasted raisin bread- 250 cal

1/4 cup hummus-  110 cal

2 cups home squeezed apple carrot juice- 216 cal

3 pieces dried apricot- 50 cal

1/2 big apple- 55 cal

Total: 681 cal

snack:

2 spinach pancakes- 138 each... 276 cal?

2 mini cup cakes (i logged in cream filled cupcakes)- 340 cal

Total:  616 cal

lunch:

2/3 cup rolled oats- 100 cal

1 med. banana, mashed- 105 cal 

1 cup silk soy milk light vanilla- 80 cal

10 almonds- 70 cal

Total: 355 cal

Dinner:

1 cup vegetable salad- 140 cal

Nature Valley sweet and salty almond granola bar- 160 cal

1/2 cup silk soy milk light vanilla- 40 cal

1/2 cup honey bunches of oats cereal- 80 cal

3 rice stuffed cabbage rolls (malfoof)- 126 cal 

6 stuffed grape leaves- 124 cal

Total: 670 cal

Day's total: 2,200 (rounded)  

 

I feel so embarrassed for the weight gain and wonder how I'm ever going to run in meets and everything knowing that I have fat hanging off of me. =(

I'm back on the thread... Clean Eating to me is not binging, going easy on sweets and cutting back a little on cals OR increasing exercise. 

Has anyone else here redefined their Clean Eating Criteria?  Nancy
