yeast infection?! HUH? isnt is a colon cleanse
Candida is fancy for Yeast.

Yeast and Bacteria co-exist naturally in your body.  Messing up that balance when it's already fine can lead to infections.

oopppss llol it was called cleanseSMART

lol, i suggest if you want to use a 'cleanse' you research it a little more thoroughly than this!

Uncle Ben, Is it Clean Start.  I have it and I used it for a couple of days.  I must say it gave me a good cleaning out and afterward, I experienced something that I hadn't in a long time.  A moment when my stomach started growling. I really feel like this is the first time in a long time where I was now eating because I was actually hungry not just to be eating.  I'm going to go back on it soon and when I do I'll send you a text.

ok thank you queen bee that would be great!
There was another post bout detoxes and cleanses. It shouldnt be used for dieting at all it should be used to actually detox your body of all the unatural toxins you take in. And if your on a healthy diet u shouldnt have to worry bout doing a detoxifier bc your already pretty much doing that. And you shouldnt have to buy products to detox your boxy they are natural ways of doing so.And you should also ask your doctor first, which im pretty sure he/she will say stay away from it.

They don't work for any purpose.  Our bodies don't need "detox". That is taken care of by the liver, not the colon.  If the cleanse involves a laxative effect, then it can actually damage your intestinal tract.  This is according to information on the Mayo Clinic website.

I'd be very careful of these products.

the only cleanse i would reccomend would be the master cleanse- you remember when beyonce lost 20 pounds in 2 weeks going on that lemonade diet? well, that's master cleanse. except it was originally used for detox.

you can find out more about master cleanse on youtube, there were several people who recorded 10 days of their cleanse, and a lot of people claimed it worked- both cleaning out the 'toxins' and losing weight as a fringe benefit.

what you basically do is...not eating for 10 days, but you drink this mix that you make at home that consists freshly squeezed lemon juice, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper. You have two 'flushes' per day, at night and in the morning, the salt water flush in the morning is known to be quite 'unpleasant' coz it makes you go to the restroom like craazzzy. But a lot of people's acne cleared, feeling less bloated, and general health improvements etc. I was on the cleanse for a few days before someone lured me into eating again because i was just sooo hungry. Turned out i was doing it all wrong, being a little too greedy i didn't have any maple syrup in the dose and hence my calorie intake per day was per se no more than 2 calories. It takes a bit of determination but....a lot of people lose about 1 pound per day, although this is arguably water- it is THE fastest weight loss method, although no gurantee that you wouldn't gain it all back once you go back to your normal lifestyle.

I would agree 100%.  Cleanses and the like are not necessary because our bodies have a built-in detox system (your liver and kidneys) that works great (assuming you have no medical conditions).  Most "detox" regimens involve lots of harsh herbal preparations, laxatives, and/or pills WHILE fasting, which can be extremely dangerous.  I've fainted several times while attempting the Master Cleanser, and was once warned by a doctor that doing the Master Cleanser could really mess up my electrolytes which could lead to dizziness, low blood pressure, confusion, blackouts, and even cardiac arrest.  No kidding.  I've learned my lesson and will never do another cleanse again.  It's just too dangerous.

These days when I want to recover from a period of overindulgence, I drink green smoothies instead.  They help me feel better faster WITHOUT the danger.  Of course you don't lose weight as fast--but losing 1 lb/day is dangerous anyhow!

my doctor recomended that i use colon cleanse phsyllium husks every day to get toxins and old waste out of my system. i have felt much much better since i started. i don't know how anyone could say it's a bad idea as long as you don't go overboard. enough fiber=feeling good, for me at least. i would definitely recommend "colon cleanse." also, try taking cranberry extract pills twice a day. after a week or so i felt less sluggish and had less stomach problems. just go easy on it, it is a great idea to get toxins out of your body. people need to calm the heck down.

THis topic is funny to me, only because my friend Zio raves about this product called "ColonBlow"  yes it's for real.  Check out www.colonblow.com .  Colon cleansers usually contain a lot of psyllium husk aka heaps of fiber.  They're theme is "Poopin' is Cool!" and I actually tried their product (Yeah, had a nice "cleanse" but no Poo Nirvana or anything like that...).  So along with the product, they send out gift pens that say "Poopin' is Cool!" on them and I happend to bring that one to work and you know how people come in your office to borrow a pen?  Well.....Embarassed

Poopin' is Cool!!!

I've used OxyPowder a couple of times and I always feel better for it. This one sprung out at me because it doesn't use laxatives so even though I needed to go to the toilet more than I previously did, and the stools come out very liquid, I was always in control and never had to mad dash.

If you're not going dookie more than once a day, or if you have a feeling like you've not really got everything out, then a cleanse is probably a good idea.
