Clementines, my candy...
I love citrus fruit. Well, I love fruit in general. BUT, I love citrus fruit so much right now.
Especially Clementines. I bought a bag of like, 30 at the store for 4 bucks, and I can eat 2 of them for a snack and be totally satisfied, and I think it's less than 60 calories. Only downside I can think of is the sugar...But I spread it out over my morning until lunch, so I think I'm okay.
Point is, have a craving for sweet? Clementines are easy to peel (literally, like 1 piece peel!), sectioned so neatly, and super juicy and sweet! I'm in tangeriney heaven ♥

I think I need to research what I can use them in, other than salads....
Any ideas or recipes guys?
My visiting sis bought a bag of these and my teen says they peel real easy and she went through several at a sitting, asking me to buy them again. Is it possible she doesnt know theyre fruit? :D
Theyre being heavily advertised grocery recently.
Unfortunately the worst thing in the world is the smell of somebody peeling clemetines and mandarins. If somebody peels one in a 1000 person lecture theatre, I get a headache. If I walk into a train carriage or bus where somebody has been eating one, I get headache. etc. So all I ask that while you are enjoying the fruity goodness of citrus fruit in winter, if you are in a social situation, to think about showing consideration for those of us who have alergies to such things.
I think I'm going to continue to bring one bag in a week for the office. It's a healthy treat, and a good chocolate exchange XD haha!
clementines rock...and i love how easily they peel!
i remember we went to a christmas party a few years ago and there were all these really yummy looking cakes and a big bowl of clementines...i ate about 5 clementines and had absolutely no interest in the cakes...
Clemmies rock. I've found that the Spanish ones pale in comparison to the Moroccan ones, though. Anyone else had a similar experience?
Occasionally, with clemmies of any origin, we'll get a crate that seems to have been picked from among the breeders of the field - it's as if every "pod" has 4 or 5 seeds! I suppose the next time that happens we'll juice the lot instead.
*feels completely stupid*
Yeahh.. I love them too. Here in Australia we call them mandarins.,
Sunkissedbliss: Ahhhh haha, nah, we call them tangerines, clementines, mandarins....
Depends on the type i guess.
