Clip in hair extensions

Quote  |  Reply

I want a little change in my hair, i'm bored with it.  So I was looking online and found these clip in hair extension from Hi-Lite on Sally's Beauty Shop. I want the pink ones I think.  Has anyone ever tried these? Are they worth the $3.33??

ahhhh bumpppppppppppp

I think that's a reasonable price for accents you can reuse! I actually used to glue wefts into my hair, and it was hell trying to get all of the glue out of my natural hair, and some of it was pulled out in the process. Even the human hair wefts, semi-permanently applied, start to look nappy after about a week's worth of wash and wear. With the clips, you can remove them before bathing or going to bed which will very much prolong their lives :) I would definitely give it a shot!

You guys - if you are going to attach any type of extension to your scalp or your hair, get it done professionally, and get them removed professionally.

As far as the clip ins - i'm sure for that price you arent going to get the best quality. If you're ok with that, have at it.  If you can learn to make them yourself and buy some better quality hair, you'd only be paying a few dollars more. Everything is available depending on which beauty supply store you go to.

I'm actually in cosmetology school right now  and a bunch of the girls got a wild hair and bought some of those pink clipins from sally's and they look so fake. You know how the hair on a barbie doll looks? All synthetic and plastic like. That's exactly what those look like and the clips came off of their's so  a couple of the girls had them braided and glued in. I agree with lippygal, definitely go better quality and if you want to get them glued, sewn or braided in go to a pro.

But if your just looking for something fun to play around with go for it! The girls at school had a blast with them! Laughing

Spend the extra money and buy the human hair varieties. They cut better, and you can curl them with a curing iron.   Have fun!
