What "clique" did you belong to in HS?

When I was in HS, I belonged to the "thug girls" cliq. We smoked in the bathrooms, cut classes, I wore Timberlands and wife beaters to school and braided my hair. LOL

You know in HS we were all trying to find our identities. Now I wear make-up and heels most of the time and I quit smoking over a year ago. Now that I look back I kind of regret acting like that cuz it prohibited me from making more friends and I also suffered the consequenced of cutting classes and graduated with a 2.5 GPA which made it hard to get financial aid to get into college.

So, what clique did you belong to and how did you dress and would you have done anything different?

yeah, I was part of one of the geek cliques. Mathletes, Yearbook, various AP classes. D&D. Monty Python.

i was in the 'nice group'..this pretty much consisted of all the people that didnt fit anywhere else..then when i moved into higher ed [16+], i was the arty one

I was one of the snobby girls...  the girl that everyone called a bitch behind her back...   

Glad I've grown up since then.. LOL

EDIT: picture the girls from "Mean Girls" or  "Jawbreaker" yeah, that was me...

Honestly i was one of those people that wasnt really in a clique.  I got along with everyone....i had jock friends, burner friends, brainiac friends, preppy friends, etc....One of my boyfriends in HS was the captain of the football team,  then the next one i had was tattooed and i also had a preppy one.  I never wanted to be labeled so i just stayed neutral....

No real clique to speak of I was in chorus,band,cheerleading but I didnt exactly hang out with all of those groups. I mainly hung out with any kids that lived near me in the neighborhood........and they were all walks of life from goth types to the drunken loud ones.

i hung out with just a few select friends since my high school seemed to be filled with dramatic a-holes, and we were all nothing alike. we all got good grades and kept to ourselves unless we were with eachother.  i guess i would've been classified as one of the "art kids", i was in photography, advanced art, creative writing... i cut class to go hang out with my older boyfriend who lived in the city, cut class to hang out in the art room, and smoked cigarettes in the parking lot, haha.

I was in the misc. groups :(
We were a bunch of really great kids, just didn't fit in anywhere else. We had a few gothics and punks (this was before punk became the hip thing, mind you) and we were all just kind of drifting along. I did spend a lot of time with the gothic groups, even though I never dressed like them.

I find it so funny because some of the people in different cliques (me for example) are TOTALLY different today.

I don't think because you were in a certain group in HS that you will be like that always. Sometimes we just need to feel accepted and then... we grow up. I hope all you parents of teens remember that!

Wasn't really in a group.  My high school was full of very stuck-up people and I didn't like most of them.

I did hang out alot with the music and theatre crowd.  I did choir and musicals and such.

I was pretty much a geek though...and really shy too.

 I apparently was rather nerdy, but I had friends in all of the social groups (jocks, nerds, plastics, artsy fartsy, skaters, rebels, etc).  I didn't really fit in anywhere, and yet I fit in everywhere.  Maybe its because people wanted to cheat off of me

 I think it was because I was gay (and didn't know it yet or something like that).  So I just kind of tried to "find myself," I suppose.

 

I wasn't really in a group. Our HS was so small that everybody knew everybody and I got along with pretty much everyone

Maybe on the inside you didn't see yourself as in a "clique" but on the outside looking in you probably were! So, what "clique" would your peers say you belonged to!

I was in the Jrotc group. Junior reseve officer traing corps. We got picked on by everybody. we had all different types from the pot heads to the geeks and goths and preppies. We all got along like one big dysfunctional family. I still cringe to think of how many times I was called ROTC nazi. Yeah people in hs can be mean and dumb.

nani, You said you were in an established clique I can honestly say that I wasnt. I liked such a variety of ppl and most of my friends ranged so differently that I would hang out with always on different occasions that their is no way I could consider myself one official clique. It was just me hanging out with different friends.

I was sort of a "fringe" kind of girl in highschool. I hung out with the stoners, the soccer players, the military brats, the ska kids, the grunge kids,  pretty much all the fringe groups. Never really hung out with the "popular" girls, but I guess I didn't really have much to say to them.

I mean I didn't JUST hang out with the "thug girls" I also hung out with some of the "smarties" from my neighborghood and some "jocks" but like I said from the outside looking in plus how I dressed, I was associated with the "thug girls".

I guess from the outside looking in I would have been one of the "popular girls", but then again my graduating class was only 48 people so there weren't really any unpopular kids lol

I was considered a "Freak"  You know, the goths, the punks, the weirdos. Boy, I loved it! I got along with everyone. My high school was really small, so we really all got along and hung out. My best friend was a peppy cheerleader and I was the one with pink hair and black lipstick. It was great!
