I'm starving and stuck in a house with f**k all healthy food.  Can't belive my mum's reduced me to tears over f**king food again.  One tin of baked beans isn't exactly filling.  I'm ungreatful because I'm hungry apparently. Frown

Hold strong girl!

Mom's can be much meaner than they think they are. My mom is always harrassing me about something or another and when I break down she calls it "Overreacting"

Head to the grocery store and grab a some veggies and dip - they should have them in single serving packs for pretty cheap or a premade salad.

If your low on cash try just a walk. Cool off a bit and go back.

I'm not sure what your mom has in the house but I find that when I'm frustrated like you sound I can't find anything to eat even if there is tons.

And I'm no doctor Phil or anything but maybe when you've cooled off, and found something to eat, you can sit your mom down and tell her your need her help and what she is doing now isn't helping.

Good luck!

Actually the beans may be very high in sodium. Are you having a sweet craving or do you not want to make something out of the healthy food that's there or what?

Can you be more specific about what is there to eat then maybe we can brain storm this together. :)

All I want is to be full.  I'm hungry all the time when I'm at home because there's just nothing for me.  I'm on 1750cals so I'm not exactly starving myself of cals.  Was told in the argument I had with my mam that there's stuff in the freezer I can defrost.  So be freezer stuff she means curries and meat.  So it's either high in cals and fat or there's nothing I can use with it.  I hate frozen meat anyway.  It's goes brown which is just really off putting for me.  Was also reminded that there was bacon in the fridge along with heavily prosessed ham.  The salad draw is practically empty now because I'd raided it last week.  Doesn't help that it's my time of the month and I'm really grumpy and craving chocolate big style.

So basically talking to my mam over the last 2 weeks has been like banging my head agaisnt a brick wall and I've had enough.  The summer can't come quick enough when I can get a full time job, move out and wave goodbye to her sodding fish and chips.  She won't even let me come shopping with her on Mon so I can chose certain things.  I'm a student and can only get about 10 hours work a week so I can't afford to feed myself and give her £120 a sodding month for the privilige of living in her sodding house.

Oh dear i'm so sorry. I really understand your delima as I was much in the same situation growing up. Normally we did not have food for a long time during my growing up but then later on she did the same thing as your mum did and only had frikken frozen food and it was meat and had uhhhmm like shredded wheat but there was never any milk.

Even talking to her seems is not helping you any. It sounds like she really isn't listening to you at all. I have to really empathise with you here.

I think it's my time of month too coming up and right now I just ate about 1/2 C mini marshmallows and I feel sick.

Bacon is just sodium and fat. If I were you just temporarilly I would heat the can of beans and if you have a bit of brown sugar put a bit on there to satisfy your sweet tooth during this time of month.

Do you have bread and butter maybe you can have some toast with cinnamon sugar on it?

There is no fruit yogurt there either? :(

I don't know what else to tell you hon but maybe write a grocery list of your own of things you would really like to eat. Put smiley faces on the list and be super nice to Mom and lay it out for her and with a BIG PLEASE on there and say this will really help me eat healthy and fill me up?

I don't know at this point what have you got to lose? I mean she doesn't seem to want to bend much. Does your college offer healthy foods? I know I worked at a college for awhile and as staff I got to eat in the student food court and you paid one fee but were able to grab free fruit. They don't like you to do this too much but I would grab extra fruit and nuts and things to take to my desk.

Is this something you can do from college?

It's a tough world out there honey and I know wanting to be one your own and make your own rules is extremely appealing however make wise choices. I'm sure you will have your freedom soon enough and be able to budge and buy the foods that suit you most.

I really hope your Mom gives in and buys you some food you like and need. Trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle is hard enough when you don't have someone around you supporting you. Especially your family.

((((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))

Please let me know if she comes home with better/healthier foods

mams can make anything seem more frustrating even when you are not hungry

My sister told me I was being a grouch, I told her my niceness gets smaller as my calories get smaller.

Good luck, walking and music really help.
