im new to cc (just joined yesterday lol.)
was just wondering if anyone wants to join me on a wee adventure to find a healthy figure back by the new year :)
im also a new veg*an (still trying to find my niche in the vege/vegan world out there haha...) trying to cut wheat, gluten, dairy, meat, fish, eggs... its a little daunting... i wont miss the meat and eggs for sure as i never really had the tastebuds for them... but i ll miss the soft loaves of warm refined carb goodness [sigh]. but cos i ve been getting bloated from the carbs i guess its time to say bbye to them =(.
anyways-
it would be great if you guys help me out and join me so we can motivate each other and share tips and tricks around! =D

Anyways I would absolutely LOVE to lose 25 lbs by 2009! Ever since I quit cross country I've slowly been packing on the pounds. You see when I did cross country I was burning so many calories that I didn't have to be careful with what I ate, apply that diet principle to me sans running and *BAM* here come the thunder thighs!
I'm a vegetarian but I often eat vegan as there is a great vegan restaurant in my town, so we can trade recipes =)

Hey count me in! I'd love to lose a good even 20lb and keep it off! I like the 2009 goal, it's enough time to get my diet and exercise in check. I'm very inconsistent, I'll have a great week or even 2 and then just completely blow it for the next week or two- then I have to start from square one again!

Hi, I'm looking to lose 26lbs at the moment. I got really big after getting glandular fever and not being able to exercise for 4 years, and also really unfit, so I'm wanting to reverse the trend.
For the last three months I've been commuting by bike, and I feel a lot fitter, but none of my fitness is reflected on the scales, which haven't moved. And despite feeling and looking slimmer, my body fat is still 33.4%, exactly the same as before I started exercising. So there goes my plan of losing through exercise alone.
My stats:
CW: 173 (12st 5lbs)
GW: 147 (10st 7lbs)
By: my 25th birthday, 22nd Dec this year.
A Monday weigh-in sounds fine, and it will be great to have people to be accountable to, as my husband didn't even notice me gain 3 stone! (42lbs)

yea... i also really want to lose A LOT more than 25lb... but i ve found that if i try to lose more than 2lb per week i start yo-yoing or that i start going off track and get depressed :(
so i say start with a small achievable goal and once you attain it, make the next goal a little higher so you feel happy when you achieve something even if its really small lol.
which reminds me...
i should get a body fat% calculation done too!
& ALSO - everyone get a tape measure and record your bust, waist, hip and thigh measurements too!
its more accurate than just weighing yourself cos muscles are more heavier than fat cells so sometimes even tho u dont lose the lb or kgs, you will be losing fat and gaining muscles =D

I definitely need to lose by January too. I didn't weigh myself this morning but I have a ballpark range and will have the exact one and measurements on Monday or whatever the weigh in day is.

Lets do it! Ha, Im a veg as well. Im trying to lose 15lbs. Im 133lb now, but I weighed 127 in the winter, funny how that works huh? -.-
I'm in for the 25 by december!! That would be absolutely GREAT. I love having accountability partners!!! But also, I think I'm a little bit addicted to weight loss so having people scold me if I lose an unhealthy amount of weight per week or tell me it's ok to loose 2lbs per week will help me out tremendously. Monday weigh ins are cool since...I'm obsessed with weighing my self everyday! Oh another thing, I'm gluten intolerant/i think i'm celiac (sp?) so I need to cut the bread/oats/wheat/soy etc....

Yaayyyyy! I'm 150 and trying to be 125 too! (lol but I'm only 5'2") We can motivate each other and tell each other what works best to lose weight! I love it.
Hi everyone...I'd like to be a part of this mission (and I do view this as a true mission). For duration of my twenties, I was one of the lucky ones...never had to work out...ate pretty much what I wanted...and still managed to keep the weight off...HOWEVER, I had a baby girl almost three years ago and the rest is history or should I say added lbs.
Right after I had her, I lost the weight (breast feeding worked wonders), but a year or so later, I packed on the lbs. At any rate, enough of me rambling on...I need to lose 25 lbs by January, so I'm DEFINITELY IN and I can weigh in on Mondays!

Sounds good to me, I have never tried this online dieting. So let's see how it goes. I would love to lose like 30lbs. I am trying to lose 10lbs by the end of August have to go out of town and see people who have not seen me in a year and I don't want to look fat. Plus we are going out on a boat, don't want to look bad in a bathing suit.
