I think we need a new club...known at 5'8 - 5'9

I always read the 5'7 one, and it gets me nowhere haha.  So yea, for any of you taller people out there, if you're 5'10 you can join too!

what stage are you at now?

what are your goals?

what do you think your ideal weight would be?

where do you buy your pants? (I suffer in this area)

what do you where on your feet when everyone else is wearing heels? (I suffer here too :-))

II'm 20 y/o, I'm maintaining around 130, but I seem to have a mental block and have trouble making myself eat maintenance...I freak out...but I'm getting there.

My goal is to tone up, gain like 5 pounds back but in muscle mass!

I think I'm at my ideal weight, although I wouldn't have a problem with a few more pounds. 

I just bought some pants at express, and they're almost TOO long! wow, what a find!


I'm 28 y/o, 5'8 (and 1/2) and right now my weight is 169. I've been calorie counting for a little over a month and I'm so glad I found this website! Otherwise I would probably still be sitting here eating bad food and making excuses to avoid exercising.

I think 140 will probably be ideal for me because I do have a prettly large frame.

Pants the long enough are hard to find. I'm just glad I'm not any taller. I can't imagine how hard it is for the 5'10 and taller girls to find pants the right length! I've gotten sick of shopping for jeans lately because everyone seems to be making them out of that stretchy denim and really low rise. Not at all flattering for me and my chubby hips and tummy. Maybe when I'm at my goal weight they will look better.

I don't often have a reason to wear heels, but that's always been a problem for me too. I have NEVER found a pair of heels that were comfortable for more than five minutes. I always wondered if maybe everyone else was just suffering silently for the sake of pretty feet! LOL
I'm 5'8, 138 lbs. 21 years old.

This website helps me out so much as far as BEING AWARE of what I put in my mouth and I love it.

I would like to be at 135lbs but it's not that big of a deal... it's really just a number. I feel healthy and happy and that's really all that matters right?

Goal weight is 150ish (maybe a little less, maybe a little more).

I'm still in the reduction phase.

I buy my pants at the thrift store when I can find them in my size, otherwise I buy them at Target or the like. I have to have Wranglers, as no other brand is cut right to fit me.

I don't wear heels. :-)
Female, age 34, 5'9 1/2", current weight 152.  I look great anywhere between 138-145, I'd say...In my head, my ideal weight is my college weight, 135# and super fit.  I'm lighter than I was a couple of months ago (yeah for 10# gone!), but still not where I'm comfortable in my body. 

As for pants, I have short legs :(  31" inseam.  A very tall torso, though, so I'm always having to buy "long" swimsuits and such...

Hi! I'm female, age 17, 5'8" and currently weighing in at 155. I would like to get down to 138, and tone up a lot, especially my midsection and thighs. I buy my pants at American Eagle or the Gap. And as far as heels go...let's just say I'm THRILLED that ballet flats and other types of stylish flats are back in style. ;)

I joined this website to get more toned, stop binging on junk, and lose about 10-15 pounds.

I am at the losing stage, as I joined about 4 days ago and have lost two pounds! My mom says I'm getting more muscular..yay.

I think my ideal weight should be 125, or 130.

I buy my pants, lol, at either Aeropostale or Target.

I don't really love wearing heels, especially since I'm a dancer and my feet are ususally all ready tired, so I live in Vans and ballet flats!

I'm loving this club!

I'm 162lbs and I'm 5'10. My goal is to be in the 140's  by the end April. I don't feel fat; most people don't think I weigh as much as I do. I wear a size 10 and tend to carry my weight all over rather than in one spot. I would just love to be slimmer. Clothes always look so much better when people are thin.

hello! i'm 5'9.5" and weight about 138-142. i would like to get down to about 123 eventually, for now i'm pretty much maintaining. i am within healthy range, cause my bmi is like 20-21 but i'd like it to be like 18 or less. i buy my pants at the gap and express. they are really the only places i can find decent jeans! you can order pants online at buckle, but i haven't tried it yet. i heard you can get any inseam length or size you need to your specifications. i wear galoshes haha (they're popular here at my school cause it rains so much), clogs, flats a lot, diesels, pumas, etc.
Hi all-  Well I'm 5' 9" 37 yrs and 223 lbs.  So the biggest here so far.  Working my way down to 180.  I don't think I could do 145,  seems to skinny for me although I know that's around where I'm supposed to be.  Anyways, since I'm so big I like to buy my pants at The Avenue.  They have sizes with different lengths (tall, average & petite).  As for shoes lots of sandals.

Wow.  I'm really surprised to hear what your ideal goals are.  My ideal seems to be higher than most, but maybe that will change as I get closer to goal.  I'm 5'8 and currently weigh 165 (down from 210).  I used to weigh 140 a few years ago, but found that I was a bit too skinny and it was too hard to maintain.  My current goal is 150.  I'll reevaluate when I get there I guess. 

What size clothing are you all wearing at your current weights?  I'm now a solid size 10.  I still have some size 8 pants (from my 140lb days) that I'd love to fit into again, but I don't know if I could wear them at 150.  I'll soon find out.

I'm kinda at the beginning of this eating healthy for life thing...i've started it for a month...have lost about 6 pounds so far...i usually weigh-in on Fridays...so we'll see if i've lost more this past week...hehe...

my goals...can truly keep eating healthy...and not give up on this or myself...i'd also like to actually LOVE exercising one day...i think the day i see more results will be the day i realize that exercising isn't bad at all...my first goal weight is 180...i know that's too heavy for me...so i'll probably wanna set another goal for 140...and we'll see from there...

my ideal weight...probably 130...i was a 140 before...a size 6...but i wanna be a size 4...so probably 130 would be my ultimate goal weight...

i buy my pants from all kinds of stores...it doesn't really matter...anywhere that has cute pants...

i don't know about heels...i have a balancing problem...so i dun really get to wear heels...

currently wear a 16...really wanna be able to wear a 6 again...
This is really comforting...I am 5'10" 23 years old and I weigh 185, I lost 15 lbs in the past 4 months but it has been very slow and I am now ready to get my butt moving...I used to weigh 125 about 2 years ago, I started school full time, and only worked part time (from working full time and school part time) the stress of the school work and not being able to pay my bills really put the hurt on me. Now that I have graduated and it is time for me to get a job in my field, I need to get back down there...I know that 125 is probably too skinny...and I have grown up more as a woman, I don't think that is where I want to be anymore, so I am aiming for a more realistic goal of 135-140.

By Jan. 1 I want to get down to 170 so I can start the year with some fresh new motivation and some new fabulous clothing! I had a gym membership for the past 5 years and stopped using it 2 years ago...so yesterday when I signed up for this site, I went to the Gym for 40 mins. (whoa! It was tough!) but I am going to try to stick with it, I am going again today!

Heya, im 5'8" (and maybe a half?), 19 YO and 147 pounds.

 i live in residence in uni. so its really hard to stay in shape, get lots of exercise and not pig out. last year in res i gained 21 pounds... over the summer i lost fourteen slaving my butt off, but then i gained 4 back since i got here....help! haha. my goal is to be the same as i was before i came here last sept., 138

Most of my pants are too short for me... yea. about that. haha. i do have a super long pair that i bought recently at smart set though, i was estatic when i found them!

I'm 21, 5'10", 140 and trying to lose just a wee bit more and tone up.

And I LOVE heels!  With feet as big as us tall girls usually have, it's nice to have something that breaks up the line of the foot, instead of me just slapping my size 11s flat down on the floor.

I even have high-heeled sneakers, no joke.  I love them, and my husband loves heels so he doesn't mind me being a little taller than him when I wear them.
Well, I'm 5ft8.5 and I think I'll just see how I look at 150lbs (I'm 187lbs now)and if I could do with losing more then I will.

I'm 32, 5'9" and weight 238.  The biggest one here so far.  My initial goal is to get down to 200 and see if I feel like losing the remaining 25. 

Overall, I just want to get healthy and enjoy exercising.  I just started exercising for the first time in my adult life about two months ago and I LOVE it!  I also want to get to a point where I am comfortably out of plus sizes.  My weight loss gift from my boyfriend is a dress from Banana Republic for this summer!

As far as heels - I love 'em and have no problem being the tallest woman in the room. 
If you look closely, you can tell I'm wearing them in the one pic I have that shows my shoes.

I swear, I love heels.  I've got narrow feet and monkey toes, and they look about a mile long in flats.
hey yall! im 17 years old, 5' 9.5" probably more like 5'10"... this summer i went from 125-130 to 155 at my biggest weight! ive been in this stage like "i dont care i love eating i look fine.. " only bc ive never had trouble with my weight.. but recently ive started to notice i need to start losing.

since the summer i lost about 15 lbs and am now at 138 lbs.. my goal is to get back to 125-130. ive been eating really healthily and working my butt off to get into shape by thanksgiving because im going to the beach and i have to wear a bathing suit!!!

i buy my pants at rock&republic.. these are the very best jeans ive found for tall people.. i have a girlfriend who is 6'2'' and all she wwears is rock&republic... also seven has some good jeans... where do yall find nice black pants long enough?

as for high heels.. i always wear flats with jeans or pants but when im showing off my legs i LOVE to wear stillettossssss they make your butt look really good and your legs look toned.. ive embraced my height i love being model-tall.
