160 Club
I left the 170 club as of yesterday after a week stay. After finding no 160 club I decided to start one myself.
As of today (Sunday Jan 7, 2007) I am at 167.
I'm looking forward to meeting anyone else in this range and motivating each other onto the 150 club. Let the journey begin! WE CAN DO IT!!

ltlmsmfft - yes, that does happen to me. Actually, it is happening to me! I have found however, that in the last two weeks my energy levels have gone up and I'm much more "awake". It's probably the lack of sugar and the processed foods.
flick - Welcome! I am in a similar boat as you. I am 24 years old, 5 foot, 5 inches. I was told during a fitness assessment at a local gym over two years ago that I have over 33% body fat (and that was when I was 150 lbs!) You have made the decision to change and I can see that you are willing to go the distance. We are here for you! If you have any questions, just ask!
WOOHOO ... jumped on the scale this morning and it read 168 lbs baby! YEAH! Yesterday proved it. I need to drink my water. Yesterday I drank 4 32oz bottles. Thats alot of water! My body apparently gets dehydrated very quickly and functions better when it is very, very well hydrated. When I don't drink the pounds stay. When I do drink, they go away. SIMPLE. I hope this pattern sticks for the next month or so.

YAY! I dropped more weight! 163.8!!!!! I'm kinda shocked because even though I only ate about 800 calories I cheated and had 5 glasses of white wine :( (it's a really poor excuse, but I had a very stresful night and picked a crapy way to unwind) and I didn't have time to do any exercise due to the errands that skyrocketed my stress level. I'm looking forward to doing better today. It's great to see the numbers on the scale go down, but I want it to be in the healthiest possible way.
liney, thanks for the note. It's nice to know I'm not the only one with low energy levels. I'm looking forward to getting to your level of energy :)

Finally a club around my weight. 165 lbs. Hoping to leave in 2 1/2 weeks. We can do this people!
I made it to the 160 club...weighed in at 169 yesterday...started at 175, my goal is to lose 7 pounds per month, so that should get me to my goal weight of 123 just in time for my 23rd wedding anniversary, I can give the girl back to my husband that he married so long ago....hope to be in the 150's in April.
I eat (and log faithfully) 1200-1300 calories a day, no fast food, Jazzercise 4 days a week, the other 3 I walk for 30-60 minutes and do a stretching video (Classical Stretch). Seems to be working!
Way to go to all of you..we will do it!

Hey everyone... I just wanted to say hi to my old friends here in this group. I am in group 150, and NOBODY says anything in that group, so I am waiting for ya!!!
Welcome Monica!
I totally cheated this weekend! I went to a "football game" party Sat. night and had a pig in a blanket and a honey garlic wing drenched in blue cheese and about 3 potatoe chips!!!!! I'm afraid to weigh in right now but..... I can tell by my clothes that I'm still skinnier than I was prior to starting my diet 2 wks ago. I think I'll just be extra good the next few days then get on the scale to keep myself from getting discouraged.
Hey: This weekend I was pretty good. Didn't drink my water though so that sucked. But, I didn't move from 168 lb. :) I measured myself again and I've lost an average of 1 inch on my hips, waist and bust ... YEAH (not to the bust though ... hehe). My biggest accomplishment this weekend is food selection and just saying no. My boyfriend took my out for Sushi Saturday night (thats good food so no worries there) then for lunch at a diner on Sunday ... I choose the protien rich breakfast tray (my cousin works there so I know their cooking practices, etc). Sunday evening, my boyfriend, my cousin and myself went to a movie. My cousin bought an Slushie and chocolates, I bought my boy a pop (it was my turn to pick up the tab) and I got myself ... NOTHING!! Granted, I refuse to pay $5 for a small box of chocolates or $6 for a regular pop so that helped.
I'm hoping to drop a couple more pounds this week. I'm back to drinking my water (5 32oz bottles is the goal this week), the exercise routine has some add ons to up the anty, and I'm bound and determined to eat even heathier!
Can we do it? YES, yes we can!!!

Hey...I'm back too. I'm down to 168.8 over the weekend. I realize that is close to 169, but every little bit counts, yeah? I'm just happy that I've been going DOWN and not up.
Happy Monday. Glad to see everyone is still here!

I once heard Dr. Phil say that he never really wants to exercise, but everytime he does when he is halfway through his workout he never thinks "gee i wish i didn't do this", anyway that thought helps me sometimes when I don't feel like doing my cardio or whatever.

I know i'm a little late entering this club, but i just found it today. I started on this website exactly a week ago and i absolutely love it. In one week i went from 166.3 to 163.1! Yippeee!! and i was eating at least 1200 calories a day. So here's my story, since we are all sharing.
I never had to worry about my weight because i was always dancing, cheering, tumbling, and whatever other *girlie* sport you can think of. I am 5'1" on a good day. And even though i never worried about my weight, i never got below 115. Dancer/Gymnast thighs and butt do not get skinny! I used to think my size 2 waist and size 4 thighs were large, only because all my other 5 foot friends were size 0. So where am I now? Well, as you can guess after the first year of college when i wasnt dancing any longer i gained. I think i weighed about 135 after my freshman year. Even though i'm short, since i was so toned, and even kind of was at that time, i was still only a size 4/6 and most people told me I looked smaller then that. Then came the alcohol. A couple years after high school I started drinking and in one year I gained another 30 pounds! now, maybe i can be 135 and look ok, but not 165!! I wasnt watching what i was eating, i was going out in the middle of the night, and eating whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. When i got on the scale at 166.3 that was it. So here I am. Trying to get back to my old self. Or even less of myself. i figure since i havent danced in three years my muscle tone surely is lost and maybe i can have slimmer thighs and buns!

My goals:
- To eat healthy and live a healthy life
- to lose all the extra weight and possibly more
- To not be insecure any longer, and if that means i have to be a size 0 then i sure as hell will do it!
- go from 166.3 to 116.3 (or less) 50 pounds, here i come!
- being healthy! Duh
- being fit and feeling positive about myself
- confident wearing ANYTHING or nothing, of course
- And, i will be giving myself a whole new wardrobe and a vacation when i reach my goal. Hopefully somewhere i can be in my bikini the whole time!
Wow oompa062305 our weight stories are VERY similar! I also am a shorty at 5ft and when I'm healthy I weigh in at 110, I also started about a week ago. I wieghed in today at 161.2 :) and seven days ago I was 168 :( I am eating at least 1200 calories a day (especially due to consuming too much wine, but I'm working on that) I love heathy choice pizza at 3 grams of fat and eat fat free no pudge brownies with fat free cool whip for breakfast. I am one of those people that cannot survive on carrot sticks. Well I think I'm only going to be here for about 2 more days....maybe one. Keep up the good work everyone! We all deserve to be thin and healthy!!!!!!
I'm back today... finding it hard to get my weight to move anywhere. It hasn't gone UP, which is good, but it isn't going down either.....the 'trend' line on my weight chart is still dropping, though, so I guess that's good too. I am so impatient! I want to be skinny NOW!!
axtell24 or anyone else who knows- what is the trend line for? i don't get it.
i cheated this weekend.... i had pizza... and instead of stopping at 2 HUGE pieces like I intended, I had 3... and a bunch of other junk that I didn't even particularly want. I was just eating because it was there... yikes. I was surprised to see a .2 lb weight loss this morning though! At least I didn't gain. Just think of what that weight loss could have been if I had stayed within my calories. Maybe that will keep my butt in gear for this coming weekend.
planner2582- here's a tip that i use, when i go somewhere like a party or whatever or if i know we are going to order a pizza i bring my own food. so if it's a cookout i bring a ff hot dog, ordering pizza then i bring a lean cusine pizza etc. i know it seems a bit excessive but, it's the only way i won't break down and eat what everyone else has and yes i do get some comments from the peanut gallery but i just tell them i don't like being fat, my doc has me on a strict diet, high fat foods give me diareah (i reserve this comment for the super pushy people and it usually shuts them up quick). Even if you had brought 2 lean cusine veggie pizzas you would have only consumed a total of 9 grams of fat! plus you still get to feel like your part of the crowd. congrats on the weight loss, keep up the good work!
Thanks for the tip, ltlmsmfft! That is a little extreme, like you said, but I think its a much better tip that "eat before you go" because no matter how full I am, I can always eat junk. :)
Ltlmsmfft, it has something to do with your weigh average over a certain amount of time...but I'm not sure how long that amount of time is. I couldn't find anywhere else on the site that shows how it is calculated. Does anyone else know?
My guess would be the average for the last seven days or something like that?

I'm 163 today I'm worried I'll go back up cause I overate today. arrgghhh!!! I'm working so hard to watch my weight. >:\ I guess not hard enough.. -_-
I don't understand how some people can lose weight 5-10 lbs a week. Don't eat? It's hard for me just to lose 2 lbs. heh.
