I left the 170 club as of yesterday after a week stay.  After finding no 160 club I decided to start one myself.

As of today (Sunday Jan 7, 2007) I am at 167.

I'm looking forward to meeting anyone else in this range and motivating each other onto the 150 club.  Let the journey begin!  WE CAN DO IT!!

Okay....back to 168.8 for the third day in a row.....is three days considered to be a plateau??  :)
axtell24- give it a couple more days, it will drop.  I lost four pounds last week, the first four came off in two days and then the weight stayed the same for four days or so and now I've lost another 1/2 pound.  I just think of the long haul, if I continue to eat healthy and low calories the weight will come off eventually and gradually.  It may take some time, and it's hard when the scale says the same thing three+ days in a row but if you stick with it you'll get the results you want and that scale will slowly creep down.

By the way, you're a Kansan too aren't you?
159.8 :)   Well this will be my last post here.  I took a really cool new class at my gym yesterday called gliding.  You exercise on these purple disks and it combines strength training with low-mid impact cardio.  I'm looking forward to all of you joining me in the 150's club!

jun_jolie- Don't get discouraged.  Everyone is different.  Some people loose weight faster than others.  A-lot has to do with age, sex, and heredity!  I would suggest drinking 5 cups of green tea a day to help speed up your metabolism in a healthy way (plus it's full of antioxidents to help ward off aging and cancer).  If it makes you feel any better I am one of those people who can loose 5-7 lbs a week, however; if I fell off the wagon and ate Mcdonalds all week I would gain 5-7 lbs this week!  I do eat 3 meals a day 1200-1500 calories (I'm only 5ft tall) but I keep my fat intake to a strict 10 grams a day.  One more thing there are some people out there who don't see the numbers go down on the scale as fast as they would like and they start to take desperate and unhealthy measures like not eating in order to get the results they want.  Along with the pounds they loose their muscle as well, so when they get skinny they don't reall look that great!
Ltlmsmfft.....congrats!!  Hopefully I will make it to the 150s club before you get out of there!!

Meganjames25....yes ma'am....I am originally from Clearwater but live in Wichita now with my hubby and my daughter.  You from around these parts??
Hi everyone, I'm new to this site and I'm starting in this club. As of this morning I'm 163.5 so hopefully I'll be moving to the 150 club soon!
~Axtell24- Techniclly you are right on track. Remember this suggested weight loss is only 1-2 pounds a week. I know most of are trying to loose faster than that, but as we weigh less our loss will slow down. I wouldn't call it a plateau until your there for over a week. Think of it as a sign that you are getting closer to a healthy happpy weight!
axtell24- I just moved back to Kansas from Atlanta.  I went to KU, lived in Lawrence, met my husband, moved to Atlanta, had my daughter, and moved back to Topeka.  I missed Kansas too much when I was gone and thought it was a good place to raise my daughter.  I grew up in Topeka. My sister and brother in law live in Wichita.
it seems ive been very indecisive about if i want to be in the 160 or 150 club, ive been in my new life style for about 7 and a half months now, and i started at 265....yeah 265 gross...so i began eating correctly and exercising about 3-5 times a week for about 25-35 min.  it worked!!! and it worked good...the only problem is that i want to be at my goal weight of 145 and i cant break 155, i keep fluctuating between 155 and 160...grrr...
Sotomsays- You are an inspiration!!!
Honestly if you dont belive me i have 2 pictures in my profile...its soo easy just stick your your "new life style" and i say that cuz you never want to diet you want a change the way you eat forever...im not saying i dont have a big bowl of past and some pie every now and then but i try to keep it to at most once a month...just stay stroong!
I just wanted to put in writing that I think I had a really good day yesterday.  Stayed within my calories, drank a ton of water, worked out, and even did an extra 20 min pilates video at home. :)
This week is shot.  I'm accepting it now so that next week I can just move on.  I'm still sitting at 168, which is okay.  Work is insane (it will only get worse until about June ... argh) with several projects and events happening at the same time.  AHHH. So I dont have the time to even think about drinking my water.  I dont think about eating either which is kinda good, but not good in the sense that I forget to eat my snack and then by lunch or dinner I'm STARVING.  This is also that 'time of the month' so my hormones are going crazy, all I want to do is sleep in the morning instead of getting up to work out, and I'm craving things like carbs, caffeine and icky foods (I was bad and had Harvey's last night ... it was SOOOO good).

Next week I'm going to get back on track.  My goal is to be able to wear a cute new top and to have my bum look good for my birthday (Feb 2) ... I'm going bowling with a bunch of people on Feb 3.

sotomsays ... you are my hero!!!!

Keep up the good work everyone!!
Liney dont think like that tho, keep trying, dont give up if you ate like crap you ate like crap its ok we all have to splurge some time keep your head in the game jsut keep trying to stay on top of the diet dont let it go for a week theres no better time than now, STAY STRONG FOR ALL OF US!

ITS NEVER TOO EARLY TO START!
P.S. My birthday is the 8th! Happy B-day!
Hello eveyone,

I am at 167.7 this morning, and I am feeling quite motivated now!  I am down 7.3 pounds since December 30th...and it is because of this site and my dedication that I am here!!!!  I want to be at 165 by next Thursday, as I am going on a business trip (lots of drinking and eating and some working) to Scottsdale AZ.

Reading eveyones posts are such an inspiration...I am totally hooked!  They are truly the "wind beneath my wings"

Way to go to eveyone, keep counting, keep moving and we will get there...where ever there is!

Monica
Man....stuck AGAIN!!  This sucks!
~Oh my god Tom, you look great!!!
~Great job yesterday Planner, keep it up.
~Just keep trying Liney I know stress can really throw me off too. Have you tried getting a really big water container (like with a straw) and keeping it on your desk? I find myself drinking it without thinking if it's sitting right there. Good luck.
~Monica- Hopefully some of your motivation will rub off on everyone who reads it, that's why the message boards are so great.
~Axtell- That does suck. If I was you I would stay away from the scale for a few days and just worry about being healthy and doing what I need to for my body. That way hopefully you'll get a nice suprise when you go back. Also it will give small weight loss over a few days time to build up to something noticable. But whatever you do don't get discouraged, as long as you keep doing what is good your body will follow suit.

~ I'm at 162 this morning and feeling great! Hopefully I'll be in the 150 club next week!!!
165 everyone - hopefully in the 150's club in the next few weeks.
OK GUYS ILL SEE YOU ALL IN THE 150 Club!!!
Hello 160 club!!

I'm at 165.2 and i've been on CC since 1/9. Kinda bummin because I thought i was doing so well but i've only gained a pound! I have to just laugh at it because i'm so diligent with logging my food and keeping the calories down.

Guess i'll keep on truckin !! 8-)
I'm in! I have been stuck in the 160s for a WAY long time. I am discouraged, but today I decided I am going increase my exercise significantly and see what happens. Glad you are here.
