I'm looking for a 130/120 club, but I don't see any topics started.

If anyone knows of the proper topic, would you mind letting me know?

Thank you :)

This whole thread about 130/120 makes me feel "home"! It's great to read about so many of you struggling with the exact numbers / reality that I am! I am 134 lbs (give or take), but have been targeting 120-122 for some time... I'm 5'6, 36 years old, and I workout 6 days a week. I eat healthy and count calories, but I can't seem to break that magic "130" barrier -- the last time I did, it was the result of illness... Not good!

Sometimes I feel like I make myself crazy with all the counting, monitoring, planning, exercising and just plain worrying about it when I can't seem to achieve results. Feels like I'm caught in a loop... Anyway, thanks so much to all of you -- great to know you're out there!
Haha I'm trying from 136 (where I've been stuck for a year!) to 120 give or take. GAH this is so hard! I hate winter too, because it's just so hard to excersize. Who feels like going to the gym these days?!
I know what you mean about winter! It's grey and ugly, and I don't even want to go to work, let alone spend my energy working out!

Thankfully a work-out center opened up 3 blocks from home, so I hope that will hant me enough to ATTEND!

Anyone have any food tips for when your tastes don't mix with your husband's?? Maybe I'll ask on the food board too.

Today I'm planning on being good, but dinners are the HARDEST for me (because of different tastes from hubby).

I had a Quaker Weight Control Oatmeal this morning, along with my cuppa joe. I'm measuring out my creamer and sugar, and just making my oatmeal with water.

I bought some Kashi granola bars for snacks, and have a yogurt and a low-cal soup and a sandwich for lunch. I guess I'll have the yogurt as a snack after lunch!

GOOD LUCK TODAY! Remember, you are NOT your weight - we can do this!
I'm brand new!! just started yesterday!

I stay home with the kids but Im very busy during day!!  My problem is beer and too much food.  We maintain a good eating style but tend to over eat so counting calories will help me

Im 36 5'2" and 137.  Since halloween to new year I put on 7 pounds and my pants are yelling at me!!

So Im gonna take it off come h3ll or high water
It is wonderful to see a group in my weight loss range.  I started at 139 and got down to 134. I am 5'5" and my goal is 125.  It is so hard because when I tell someone I want to be 125, they look at me and say that I look good now, and kind of brush my concerns off.  I am just not comfortable in my skin. I gained a lot of weight after having children and it has been a real struggle trying to get back to where I am comfortable.
I know what you mean about other people brushing you off.  I have tried to stop even saying anything, because I remind myself that others are equally as self conscious and think my problems are naturally not equal to theirs.  It is human nature.  But, since just finding this group, I have had a good 3 days (admittedly, hardly a marathon, but a positive step in the right direction!) and feel stronger in my fight against nighttime eating.  I read through some other of the postings on other lists, and I was shocked at how low some individual's calorie consumption is.  I definitely like food too much to eat so little!  I would rather find a way to exercise more than eat less, but there are only so many hours in the day!  So... trying to find the middle ground.  My downfalls include mexican food, red wine, and sweets.  I absolutely love cookies and homemade goodies.  I rarely bake them myself, but I have a tiny mother who has never eaten a morsel that was good for her - and who bakes for my family weekly.  She knows it drives me nuts, so she makes sure to give it to us in front of the kids so I can't just throw it away.  Anyway... I hope you all had a great day!
I understand your pain with homemade goodies.  I like to bake, (sort of like Izzy on Grey's Anatomy if any of you watch that show) when I am stressed.  I also do it with kids I babysit sometimes because it is a good way to entertain them and provide them with a snack.  Unfortuately I have no will power and end up eating a good amount of cookie dough in addition to having a few cookies.  Baked goods are the enemy.  Well, that and alcohol, college makes that one tough.  I hope everyone is doing well trying to meet their goal, I didn't lose any lbs this week, but its a miracle I didn't actually gain after this weekend!  Keep at it guys!
Hey Queenie2 we are the same current weight and have the same goal weight!

Hey! I've been visiting this site for a couple of weeks now and I finally decided to sign-up today.  It felt exciting to type in my goal weight and the date, like for the first time I actually thought that this can happen.  I've dieted on and off since high school and I currently weigh 130 and have started to lose hope of ever fitting into my old pants, since I refuse to buy new ones (trying to save my money!).  I don't feel comfortable talking about my diet with anyone because they look at me like I'm a terrible person for wanting to get healthier and lose weight.  I know I'm not "fat" but I'm tired of feeling self-concious and having to unbutton my pants at work because they are too tight (haha- it's embarassing when someone comes to my desk!).
I'm so happy i found this website.  It's great! I had used some similar programs in my pocket PC but this is so much easier to use and i like to fourm/community aspect.  I'm 5'6'' 135 and would like to get down to 120-125.  I played softball in college, so i'm looking to get rid of bulky muscle and get leaner.  Any thoughts/suggestions? My eating habits are mostly healthy but with some bad decisions here and there.  Keep the good posts coming!
Hi, Im a newby here.   Its interesting to hear so many people with similar thoughts as mine.  I do have to say that I am floating around the 130 mark and It is frustraiting.  I understand that 2 really is magical.  Weekends are my downfall, I can eat alright through the week but on the weekend I chuck the whole control thing and do whatever I please.  It dosn't help that I dont work out on the weekends either.   What I am learning to manage my binges by using the same system smokers use, Delay, Deep breathing, Drink water, and Do something else.   The next step is to identify feelings and activities associated with binges.

An idea about loosing bulky muscle, lower the weight you use in your workouts and add more reps.

Nice meeting everyone!

I am in the exact same situation. I am 5'6 have been in the 133-37 range for around a year and a half. I am a grad student and during stressful times like exams I fall to 131 but never below. My goal is 125, but it seems like I'll never reach it! I do pilates and yoga, but only 2 times a week. I walk 45 mins to an hour everyday. My friends always tell me I look fine the way I am, but I would like to lose the weight around my hips. Like a previous poster, I have a 27 inch waist, but wear a size 4-6 on top and usually 6-8 on bottom. Any tips to slim my assss-ets?

*Thanks Chickis :)*
Isn't it funny how similar we all are?  I am glad to know that others feel like friends and family think we are crazy to worry about our weight.  As for getting to the goal of 125 and STAYING there (I am more worried about the staying part than anything!) it will take a team effort, I think.  Just this week, since logging on each day and reading what you all have to share, I have had a much easier time.  I have gotten my butt out of bed every morning and made it to the gym, I have eaten healthfully all day, and most importantly, managed to stave off evening binges.  In fact, last night on my way home from a haircut, my husband called and asked me to buy some ice cream.  They are moving one of our grocery stores here, so rather than pack up everything in the store, they put all the food on sale - ice cream was 60% off.  That seems like cruel punishment - combining my two favorite things - a sale and ice cream.  But,  I bypassed the Ben and Jerry's, got his neopolitan, which thankfully is NOT one of my favorites, and went on.  I had some Dannon light and fit Lemon yogurt while he ate his ice cream.  As for you "assets" I was running up to 30 miles a week and lifting twice a week, and mine didn't disappear.  I am at a loss as well...
Me too.  140 now, want to get down to 115-120--pre babies weight.  I've lost 2 punds this week, and am intent on keeping going.  Good luck all!
Kasnow7...Really?  What is your goal date?
yeah, it really helps to have support from people who are on the same page as you.  i feel bad sometimes talking about it with people who are also trying to lose weight but are heavier then me.  its the same as when my friend who weighs like 110lbs and is my size talks about needing to lose weight- i get all mad and I tell her she's not fat.  but anyways, it's motivating to make the right eatting choices now that i have a place where i can talk about it and have fun without people judging or discouraging me.  i've never really stuck with anything either so i'm mostly excited to see how this will turn out 4 months from now.

has anyone tried the weight watchers ice cream snacks?? I got some last night to take care of how I always need something sweet after a long day.  it really curbed my night time munchies too.
Good Morning all.   I have a question.

I excersise, both weight training (about an hour and a half total body)and cardio (25min) five times weekly. I am very concious about what I eat during the week, I am gaining muscle and toneing down, but in the end I always weigh between 129 and 131 and I am wondering  why I don't seem to be able to loose. I am 23 years old, I have a medium sized frame and am 5'7".  My parents are both on the larger side, as were their parents before them. (My Mom has struggled with diets for years)  Is it possible that I was not ment to be less then 130lbs? Is not eating enough keeping me from obtaining my goal?
