130/120 Club?
If anyone knows of the proper topic, would you mind letting me know?
Thank you :)
Finally I managed to get some decent shopping done. Got: cabbage, carrots, mushrooms and quinces. YAY
Carrie - I meant to say something earlier...I think that's a great pic. of you ~ and while making yummy sounding blueberry bread! yay! How did that turn out?
Tracy - May I ask, where you live? I'm in North Central Mass. and we've had a nasty winter already here. I hate winter as well! Err...:( Hope you can find time to workout despite the cold (cuz I hear ya).
Oh, and as for the 2.4 lbs. lost....thanks
hehe
...though not sure how 'true' that is b/c I'm ending my t.o.t.m, (so prob. some water weight too) and such. However, I appreciate the comments, I hope that muscle gain is true as well! I also have to seriously catch up on my sleep from this past weekend ~ I think tonight will be an early night ~ probably in bed no later than 8pm...maybe sooner! haha.
Well, take care, all. :D
~Margo
Indiana.. I want to move somewhere warmer, but it's where both of our families live and when we have kids it will be nice to be close. it's nice in the summer.. but the cold gets to me!!
I'm going to the gym tonight!! despite the cold!!
So far it's been a good week for everyone.

I can't believe I lost 3.2 pounds this week. I'm not sure that it's all real weight loss. However, I should be losing faster than everyone else considering I just got off of a 6 week period of no activity and I have baby weight to lose which I'm thinking should be easier since there was so much of it. Plus, I'm nursing with I've heard can burn up to 500 calories per day.
Maybe I should try on some pre-pregnancy jeans and see if they are closer to fitting. They should be, since I've definately worn them at 134 before. Although I've said it many times....this is a different 134. More in the middle!
Hi everyone! Lot's of good weigh ins this week. Carrie - love the new picture, the bread looks really good!
Weight: 129.8 (up 0.2 from last week)
Chest: 37.5 (same)
Waist: 27 (up 0.5) I think I'm starting to say goodbye to my waist. *Sniff*
Hips: 35.5 (same)
Thigh: 20.5 (same)
Gretamarie- How on earth did you deal with the scale inching up at the end of the first trimester without going crazy? It seems like it would be so much easier with a bump or... something. Something other than some unmeasured extra amount of extra blood, fluid, and boobs. I guess I just hate saying goodbye to the 120's, though seeing how fast you've lost the weight is really encouraging. Less than 135 already! Wow!
dmartineau1: Oh NO! I'm so sorry, that's horrible about your car :(
cricket: perfect timing on your post about your honeymoon article, I was just looking around at possible suggestions for a friend's upcoming honeymoon!
Wednesday Weigh In
LW: 140.2
CW: 139.2
PL: -1.0
I've been under 140 since Sunday and I'm thrilled. BTW, I loved the intro yoga class. My second class w/ a different teacher was a bit slow for my taste. Sunday I'm trying a more vigorous class.
I wasn't going to weigh in today, because I feel super bloated and like a giant cow. I still haven't started my TOTM... 7 days late now. I'm going to get a test probably today if I don't start but I've had a lot of abdomen pain so I think it's just my good ol' friend the ovarian cyst screwing everything up again.
Anyway... back to my story... I was still curious what I weighed this morning because of how huge I feel, so I risked stepping on the scale to see...
CW: 135.8
So I think I'm either the same or up .2 from last week. (don't remember if it was .6 or .8 LW.)
I'm ok with that. 130-135 is probably my body's ideal weight. I was talking to my trainer last night about how I've lost about 8 lbs since I started and she said that means I've prob lost 15 lbs of fat and gained 7 lbs of muscle. I can definitely tell from my reflection! It's exciting.
Carrie-- People can gain muscle faster than losing fat, and your diet will effect how quickly you lose fat as well. Point being- you may be gaining muscle in your legs faster than losing fat so they may seem to be getting bigger. Res assure, this is only temporary until your metabolism catches up and burns the fat. Additionally, I know running does boost metabolism and burn fat, but also breaks down muscle, so although it's growing now, the more you run the more muscle you'll burn too unless you weight train and eat enough protein. Good luck!
Rennai - I'll work on finding that balance. I like the 'runner look' honestly, but I still want to be strong. We'll see how I'm doing by Valentine's day, compared with this week, and I think that will give me an idea of where to go from there. Could you be pregnant? Are we going to have to change this forum to the pregnancy forum?
Ingrid and Margo - the bread was fantastic. I will post pictures of it, I never knew I could make something so pretty! I took some to work with me and it's gone now :)
glaserpu - I'm in Alabama and this week is freezing too (and by freezing I mean.. it might be in the 30's and I have a space heater directly facing me) We're wimps in the cold it's true.
ha! after 3 weeks at 17-21F, today we had over 40F. Can you tell i like it?! lol
we're looking at a high of 1 degree tomorrow.. oh no. I’m going to Dallas next week to visit my brother’s family and some old friends from when I lived there.. can’t wait for at least 60 degree weather!!
I'm so proud of myself... this is a food temptation story... we manage a website at work for my boss's daughter’s school, she does it pro bono so they're always very grateful with goodies. We just launched a new redesign for them so they brought over a huge plate of large chocolate covered pretzels with sprinkles and such on them last Friday. We only have 5 employees so they're not moving fast. I had one Monday afternoon and promised myself I wouldn't have another until today. I made it!! I'm a huge candy freak so this is a huge accomplishment!! ha... I feel like a dork but wanted to share.
You all need to come out to southern California. I think it's about 85 degrees right now.

Ditto, but from Phoenix, AZ.
and, I did buy a preg test on my lunch. I've been praying for a week that i'm not preg. Hopefully I'm not, like I said, too young/selfish/immature. Although in my family, I'm old at 22 to not be married or have a kid yet. I'm also the only one with a Bachelors degree, working on MBA... wonder if there's a correlation there? :)
I weigh the same as last week.
LW: 139.6
CW: 139.6
Hopefully that will move down by next week.
We went to the gym last night.. I can't believe it!! it was so cold but we managed to go. now we need to go again tonight.. it's -7 today.

oh my :(
thankfully since i've been sexually active and on the BCP (hubby was first and only hehe) i didn't have ANY problems or worries wt possible pregnancies. I don't dare go off the pill until we are SURE we want a baby though

I've been on the pill too, it's just with the possibility of donating again, I had to mess with all of it a little and that makes my hormones all crazy and react. I think that's why I got cycsts, normally on BC I don't unless I have to mess with it for some reason.
Both my sisters got preg while on BC, one of them missed 2 pills and ended up preg. I guess my family just has stronger hormones than BCP.

I NEVER missed a PILL in 6 yrs ; If I am not at home I carry them wt me everywhere. If you DO miss one, yup, you can get pregnant
Tracy - Indiana...that's cool...or should I say, very cold right now. haha. MA is SO cold today, though looks like Cris might have taken the cake on the most extreme cold weather thus far. Here in MA today, it's in the single digits at least. Think tonight's going to be in the negatives.
BRRR! Stay warm ladies, I know I am going to do my best to! :D
First wanted to say, don't feel like a dork...there's no reason to..I find it great when we all share stories like this, it's helpful. :D
Congrats on beating the choc. pretzel temptation! (high five) I know how that is ~ I have SUCH a sweet tooth myself...it's SUCH a hard thing for me to overcome. Happy to see you beat it! :D
Gretamarie - Keep up the good work too! :D
Heather - Hope you enjoy the yoga class. :)
Rennai - Well, all I will say about the preg. test is 'good luck' and take that in whichever way you wish ~ though it's meant in a good way. :D
Carrie - Glad the bread turned out yummy! :D
Ingrid and Rennai - I wanna be in the warm weather!!!!!! :D
Where's Christine?
Have a great day, ladies!
~Margo
glaserpu: Good for you! I'm more of a salty than sweets person, but i LOOVVVEE chocolate covered pretzels. Hearing about one person's strength gives the rest of us strength, so share away!
I'm in Chicago and freeeeezing today (like a lot of you too, I'm sure.) I was proud of myself too for making it to the gym in the cold, but tonight will be the real test!
Hey guys, sorry I dissapeared. I'm going through a little rough patch in my life, but i've started to see a therapist and i'm switching BCP's tomorrow! I'm switching to one with a lower progresterone level as to minimize the depression, anxiety, and increased appetite my previous pill has been giving me. Hopefully this will make a difference in my well being and weight loss. Sorry I didn't weigh in yesterday =/ As expected, I gained and I didn't want to bring the group down. I did significantly better today and resisted the pizza, chips and carrot cake that were all offered to me. It's difficult to watch everyone eat such unhealthy things at lunchtime and remain so thin. At least I discovered the cafeteria minestrone soup.
Anyway, awesome job to everyone that weighed in! You continue to be an inspiration to me. And welcome tonyagray! The specifics don't matter, it sounds like you're willing to contribute to the club and with all of the motivation here you'll be down to 130/120 in no time! Good luck and nice to meet you : D
Gahh you'll hear more from me in a few days when I'm not such a debbie downer! Keep it up ladies : D
-Christine
