I'm looking for a 130/120 club, but I don't see any topics started.

If anyone knows of the proper topic, would you mind letting me know?

Thank you :)

I am back!  I took some time off - had to stop obsessing - I was driving myself nuts.  Had some "good" food days and some bad, and generally avoided the scale.  Yesterday I agreed to run a half marathon with my 3 best childhood friends, who I rarely get to see (they all live about 800 miles away!).  I have only been running about 5 miles 3 or 4 days a week, so I have some miles to put in.  But, it is exactly what I need - I am a competitive person and very goal oriented.  So, now I have a goal.  I got on the scale this morning and weighed 132 pounds.  Not good, but not high enough to throw me into a tailspin.  So... I told my husband that I am in "training" mode for a few weeks - only one or two glasses of wine a week and much healthier food.  (he is always far more accepting of my weird eating declarations when I am planning a race or event.  He is always supportive, but he seems to understand the need to focus when there is an event involved.  Glad to see that everyone is still here and doing well!
man, what happened to the thread? We need to get things going again here! Hopefully everyone will be back in for the wednesday weigh in!
I'm game for "Wednesday way in".  I'm so stuck at 130, and I just know it is the wine and similar beverages- just a couple glasses here and there during the week, but on the weekends - watch out, and of course then the water weight hangs around.

I'm  5'2', but building muscle from about 28 years of total inactivity....lost about 15 in the past 1.5 years (in spurts).  Actually, I'm in between sizes, and just want my lower size to not be tight after lunch - work out 6 days a week...try to keep it around 1500 with varying degree of success depending on the day.   Usually land between 16-1800.  My family's just getting tired of hearing about eating and working out...maybe you guys can help. ^_^
i want to join. 18, 5'4, 125.2 with a current weight goal of 120...

dyn! You're the same as I! literally.

I'm 5'7.5ish and weigh 135. Want to be 125-130.

Do you have AIM or anything we can chat on and help each other out? when is your goal?
I am just starting my weight loss journey (again).  I'm 133.4 and looking to get to 120.  I will actually be very happy once I get to 125 but need to get a little lower so I have some wiggle room.  I'm 45  and 5' tall, so even 120 is probably not really thin, but I also want to enjoy life.
I am so happy I found this.  I am 124.5 and I want to try to get to 120.  I am not skinny at all.  I was 142 when I started in November.  Usually I lose about .25 to .5 pounds each week.  I consider a .5 pound loss to be a big success.  I weight on Thursday mornings at 7 AM.  I'm really old but I look like I'm in my late 30's and I'm pretty tall.

Any way does anyone else relate?  I can't believe it when people are upset about a .5 lb loss.  That is all I get usually, if I'm lucky.

Also, I find that all the anger I used to feel about my weight I am now directing at myself.  It's awful.  I want to love me.  Any suggestions?

Hello everyone

What happened?  All the loyal "members" of this thread have disappeared.  Did you all reach your goals.  My surgery did not go well and I will be on heavy and extensive medications for some time so weight considerations have to be postponed (especially since I am on steroids).  I don't think I will be doing the chart for a while, but I hope you all keep things going.  This was such a supportive thread.  Good luck everyone.

Liz
I still check in! I'm at 115 lbs. now. Pretty far from the 130/120's now. I've hit the goal I was aiming for primarily. Now I'm just taking whatever weight loss comes my way. But I'm content at 115 and I'll be fine if that's the stopping point.
I can finally talk with you guys!
I'm 5'6", 137, and a size 6. I play soccer competitively so I don't think my body will let me lose much more weight, but I'm hoping for 120.
Stokesreagan, how many calories a day do you eat? And what kinds of exercise do you do?
Im here just barely, last weigh in was 139... Ive been sick for the past few weeks and havent had my computer to log so I kinda used it as a free for all... I havent been watching what I've been eating but continued with my excersize routine up until last week so.... *dunno*
this morning i was at 132.4. Hoping to beat this hard number, which i've never been able to beat in the past. i want to get to 125. Let's do it.
I am 5' and I weigh 132.5, I would love to get down to 120.  I have put on 7.5 lbs since Oct and I am having trouble staying away from junk.  I know I am an emotional eater and I get angry at myself when I eat cookies and chips...

Just venting

THANKS
Stokes, WAY TO GO!  I am so proud of you!

We're not twins anymore....I'm still sitting at 119 but have been working SO much that the gym is the last thing on my list.

Sad...but true....

::sighs::
Lamoi-I feel kind of bad saying it, but I've barely exercised the entire three months. I use free weights about twice a week for about an hour or so while I watch tv, I walk on my treadmill for about 45 minutes once a week, and do the whole sit-ups/crunches/push-ups routine every day. I've eaten as close to 1200 calories as I could get the entire time, only cheating every once in awhile for things like weddings/funerals/vacation/etc when I really don't know how many calories I'm actually ingesting. I think it helps juststart my metabolism honestly. And I make sure I treat myself to something not on my diet once a week-McDonald's grilled chicken sandwich, alcohol (although only about three times total), York Peppermint Patties (bad idea: 165 calories for one!!), but stay within my 1200 calories. I've eaten as much fresh fruits and vegetables as I could and only at lean meat. I don't feel like I've been on a diet really, besides the counting calories part. I guess that's why this diet worked and all the others didn't.

Tenacious-Thanks for the encouragement. I know that you'll get there. 119 is not bad at all! Every step you take gets you that much closer to your goal. You can't be too far now! I don't think the exercise is as important as the mindset that you really want to do it. I really wish I had time to exercise more or even join a gym. But, alas, I just can't to get a sitter for my son while I'm at the gym. That seems counter-productive.

Coastiegirl-I know how you feel about the emotional eating. You just need to find an alternative method. Refuse to let yourself get drawn in to the magnetic pull of making yourself feel better with food. It doesn't make you feel better, it only makes you more depressed. I think that's why it took me so long to get the weight off. I would feel horrible about being overweight, eat to make the pain go away, and gain more weight. If you absolutely have to have the junk, here's my secret: fat-free, sugar-free junk food. South Beach Diet cookies (100 cals), Fat-free fudgsicles (71 cals), Special K Honey Nut bars (90 cals), 10 fresh strawberries (40 cals) with 2 tbps sugar-free chocolate syrup (25 cals), Nestle hot cocoa mix (80 cals) made with water (0 cals).

Sorry. I didn't mean to make that so long. I should check in more often! Hope everyone is well!
