I'm looking for a 130/120 club, but I don't see any topics started.

If anyone knows of the proper topic, would you mind letting me know?

Thank you :)

Can I join you guys? I've been posting in the 110/120s group, and it seems to be deteriorating into talk of people shooting for unrealistic or underweight targets. I've stopped reading it b/c it's just annoying to hear about

i'm 25y/o, 5'2", and as of today, 129 lb (finally in the 120s! woohoo!). My goal is 120. I started at 144 last May. It's taken me a really long time to lose the weight, but I also started running and working out more, so I've gained a lot more muscle, and a ton more tone. I no longer have a belly pooch (I NEVER thought I'd get rid of that!!), and my husband told me the  other day that I'm starting to have a figure similar to Jillian Michaels (not that extreme, but if you know who she is, you get the point).

My husband and I are competing to finally get to our goal weights. Today was the third weekly weigh-in, and my third victory! I have 9 more lb to go!
I want to join too.  I am so tired of my large butt, thighs and hips(hippos as I call them).  There are only like 2 brands of jeans I have found that fit my belly (4-6) and my assets (6-8) BELTS have become my regular friend.

Will someone fill me in on any rules to the club?  My weight now is 143 (water retention) I am realisticly shooting for 130.  I used to weight lift and have kept that bulky muscle in my thighs and calves.  Even after not lifting heavy for over a year I can still squat 180.  It seems as though I am super strength leg woman and I am sick of it.  My calves are so big and muscular I cannot buy boots that zip over them.

THEREFORE I am commiting myself to whatever I have to do to become LEANER.  I would love any suggestions.  I dont wanna be called J LO booty anymore LOL (but i still wanna have a nice one lol)
Hmmm... "rules"?  I don't think we have any, do we?  Victoria, we appear to have the exact same frame - height and weight - and issues reducing it.  I often think, maybe I am meant to be in the low 130's, my husband seems to like it, why do I care, etc.  But I was 125 a few years back, and I just loved the feeling of pulling on jeans and having them fit great.  Of course, I hardly LOVED my body then, but I sure liked it more than I do now.  It sounds like we all work out a lot and watch what we eat most of the time (I have some late night binging issues) so WE CAN DO IT.  I spent the last year and a half running a ton, and the milage didn't really change my shape much, so now after a visit with my sister in law's very expensive trainer, I am varying my workout much more.  He made me realize that I just sort of cruise through it, without really pushing it.  I could jog for 7 miles and not really breath hard.  He suggested that I do more shorts bursts of high intensity mixed in with some steady fat burn.  It makes sense - I played college field hockey, and we ran a ton of sprints. I weighed a bit more then, but I was more muscular and drinking a LOT of beer and eating terribly (so, I wasn't exactly an all-american!) too.  But I probably ate double what I do now and only weighed a couple of pounds more.  So... I am I added a pump class two days a week (just started this week), two running days, and one day of cardio hopping (3 or 4 different machines) and one day of shorter cardio plus the weight lifting machines (6 days total).  That is my goal anyway.  I hear you about the different waist / hip size.  My thighs and hips are much bigger than my waist.  Ahghhhhhhh  glad I am not alone!
Will you let me join?  I am 145 right now and 5'3.  I also  have a heart condition and need to lose weight.  Put on the last 10 lb since October due to medication.  I just got off that stuff and am ready to get normal again.  Would like to get down to 125 lb without starving.  What I need most is motivation and some checkpoints with others.  Do you have a weekly weigh-in.  It would help me to have to report to someone.

Danareale:  You know what I do when cooking for my husband really stops me from losing?  I cook his meal and have a lean cuisine myself.

I think a weekly weigh-in (or check in for those who would rather just do it based on how clothes fit, etc.) is a great idea!  I currently weigh myself just once a week every Wednesday at the same time to get an overall look at any changes.  I tend to fluctuate daily, especially if I went out the night before, so doing it daily was sometimes too discouraging.

I am glad to know everybody is supporting each other, it really helps.  When I saw that a couple days ago people had already worked out when I checked the site, it made me motivated to go out and do it too.  Thanks guys!  Keep up the good work!
Wednesday sounds like a good day to weigh in--not right after the weekend when the weight is probably up, and not at the end of the week when the weight is probably the lowest--

Starrose, you and I can start this coming Wednesday--- anyone else?

I'm in.  I'll weigh myself at night (I always weigh less in the morning) and report in Thursday.  Good luck everyone!!
I would like to join your guys! I am currently in the 140, but looking to get into 125 by spring!! I weight myself every Wednesday morning before i workout!
Im in for the weight in!
I'm in too!  *writes it down on her day planner so she doesn't forget*
I am in!  I'll do it in the morning BECAUSE I weigh less then!!!  My goal for next wed. is 130!!!
Ok, Wednesday is weigh in.

So far we have starrose 111, mosee, vgrant01, vicstudentoria, irothell, and kristenring.  We welcome more to the 130/120 club weigh-in.

After everyone posts on Wednesday, I'll compose a list on ONE post with everyone's old weight and new weight in the future.  This way we can compare.  There will be no critizism ever!

Me and two of my friends decided to count calories and lose some weight. im at 140 right now and 5'7" i would like to get down to 130lbs by my birthday at the end of march. Im not that disatisfied with my weight right now, i just have horrible eating habits and counting calories def. helps that. And i would like to lose the "baby belly" (haha my son is almost three) before swimsuit season.

I have class untill late evening so posting at night is better for me.  I will be weiging myself at the gym in the morning though.
Ok everyone, post your weight anytime Wednesday.  I'll pick up your numbers in the evening or Thursday morning and then post the list later Thursday.  Some of you don't have that much to lose. It will be fun watching your progress...and mine, I hope...I have 20 lb to go!  Good luck everybody!

I want to join as well. I'm 5'5" and currently fluctuate between 133-135. I want to be around 125, what I was last year at this time. I was training for a mini-marathon last year so that's how I lost the weight, which I'm training for again this year. This will help me lose weight and get motivated to get my training in. thank you.. I need this club!!
Okay group here we go.  I just relearned (read was bashed over the head with) something very valuble today.  The truth is back, you need calories to loose weight.

I have had trouble loosing for the past year because I havent really consumed enough calories. SO technically my body stores everything I put in it even thought I work out like a maniac . Any way... according to calorie count I need around 1400 calories a day to help me loose weight.  Right now I average about 900, weekdays, 1100 weekends.

If any one else is finding this a problem maybe we coudl talk about it to find ways to increase our calorie intake in a healthy way!
vicstudentoria you are right.  I have had the same results.  It is because your brain set goes to storing and not burning.  If you consume 1200 (good) calories and use 1700 or more, you WILL lose.  The extra calories should be lean meat, vegetables, and fruit, but don't deprive your body totally of starch or it will go mad if you re-introduce it  and store it (like those coming off of Atkins).  There is no magic: you have to eat a little of everything.  With your determination, you can do anything!

Will I lose weight if I eat the same food over and over?

You can lose weight despite eating the same food day-after-day as long as you eat fewer calories than you burn. In fact, eating the... Read more
