I'm looking for a 130/120 club, but I don't see any topics started.

If anyone knows of the proper topic, would you mind letting me know?

Thank you :)

~Margo

Wow it's awfully quiet in the forum today. It's a day of sorrow without Rebekkah I suppose.

Except for Margo chattin up a storm. I don't know much about you Margo but glad you're back. I would have to talk to myself without you. even though I'm not directly talking to you, I feel much better posting when someone else posts in between mine. LOL

Got my secret person for the gift exchange... I'm excited. I already know what she's getting.

Ok so I learned something today. I wrote in my journal about a bunch of stuff going on over the last couple of months. Anyway, I decided to go back to P90X. Workout and diet. Starting at the beginning with Phase 1 for a couple of weeks and then will add in more carbs to a plan that I can stick with. So I was planning out my menu for next week. All my days are like 1500-1700 calories! right now I try to stay below 1500. I did P90X before and lost 8 lbs so I'm thinking that I don't eat enough. I think my body is doing the whole starvation thing hence not being able to lose. Hmm quite the realization. I guess I'll know for sure in the next 2 weeks or so after I get going on it. Wish me luck.

Well my knee is still bothering me. Here's hoping I can do the bike tonight with out any problems. Have a good night ladies.

Just wanted to drop in and say hi! I'm probably not going to get to post again until Sunday because of my trip..

I finally went to my school's health center today. They think I have strep throat, but won't get the results back from the culture for another two days. They gave me antibiotics just in case, so hopefully I'll be feeling better for New York.

When my throat is sore, I always like to have sherbet or ice cream, something nice and cool. I ran to the store and was SO excited to find that Edy's now makes mini containers of slow churned lower fat ice-cream... I'm sure the calories for all the flavors vary, but I bought a mini mint chocolate chip and its only 180 calories! Just thought I'd share in case anyone ever wants a little treat.

Carrie - Hope the pot pie turned out well. It sounds really good.

Margo - Hi!

Stacy - What is P90X? I'm intrigued now.. Also, happy birthday! (early since I won't be posting this weekend). Have a great time at your party!

Hi to everyone else as well! Hope you all are having a good day, and have a great weekend!

Stacy-Keep us posted on the P90X.  I own it...and use it periodically, but I've never followed the program and can't wait to hear from you as you go through it.

Ali-Have fun in New York!  I'm sure you will :)

Carrie-Don't read my PM that I responded to you if you don't know who all of us had!  I just responded Thanks so much for doing this!

hi all

Carrie:  Great work on the weigh in.  Totally jealous but also loved that it has taken two years!!  Hysterical because it is true, we are all within a healthy range and we are trying to perfect ourselves.  none of us really "need" to lose weight due to health reasons.  Anyway awesome.

Ali, have fun my my city.  I will be spending the weekend with Deutsche Bank employees getting them to volunteer with my program.  Bankers and homeless kids.   Totally odd combo.

I feel like a loser kind of.  I have worked out on monday and tuesday, took yesterday off because i was at the Knicks game.  Was going to workout today and go to my studio after work (i do ceramics for fun) but i have had a MASSIVE headache for two days and thought i should just come home and rest so this doesn't turn into a cold.  but now i feel like a fatty.  I weighed myself this morning and i was still 133 which is the same from last week.  Good.  but i want that to go down.

I am going to Costa Rica for new years week and now want to get down to 128 by xmas.  I really think if i can just maintain a 4-5 workouts a week and watch what i eat.  BUT holiday season is hard because of holiday events and parties.  blah.

Stacy, good luck with your knee....i totally understand that frustration.  Spinning was great and the eliptical (boring).

Talk soon!!

Greta you are soo funny.  I didn't see who you had so no worries.

Sarah I don't know about 128 because I know my body would not be able to do that much weight that quickly, but I really hope you get there or near it!  What are you planning to do for your workouts?  And ceramics?!  How amazing.  I think you and I are a lot more alike that I realized.  Not that I do pottery or anything, but the artsy part.  I'm a music teacher and a contract singer so I always have and always will love the arts and creating things.  Have you ever made anyting really amazing?  Good luck with the bank and the homeless people, best combo ever.  And you'll get back in the wagon, headaches really drain you, I mean... really really drain you.  As soon as it's gone you'll feel like working out again I'm sure.

Stacy I love that you're so talkative.  I feel the same way about posting on the forum, sometimes I'm like.. I have so much to say but I'm the only one online!  I love reading your updates.I can't wait to hear about the P90X.. I've been hearing a lot about it recently.  Looks pretty intense!  But if it works they heck, I'd love it :)

Ali hope you have a wonderful time in NYC!  I've never been :)  I hope that you don't have strep, do you get it often?  I sure hope you feel better and if not that the antibiotics will kick in soon!

Margo!!  I'm so glad that you came on and wrote a long long note to us!  We miss you :)  And just so you know, I of course, am still eating Halloween candy, MODERATION OF COURSE.

Speaking of Twilight, a friend of mine just finished reading them and said she went through a mini depression when the books were done.  I laughed and thought of you Margo, and I remember too how frustrated I was that it was over, it was like a movie I never wanted to end.

Happy Friday ladies!! :D

Btw...side note...I know it's not WCW anymore (until next week..hehe) but I wanted to say I was listening to one of my CDs in the car the other day and heard the Craig David song, 'What's your Flava?' - it's a spin off of ice cream flavors in reference to girls. I busted out laughing when I heard it again last night and thought of Rebekkah and WCW! :D How great is that! You all should check the song out...hilarious! :D

Anyway...

Stacy - Yes, good to know that I could help you not feel so alone yesterday...hehe...as it was kinda quiet. :) Good to meet you! :D

Btw, excited to hear that your starting P90X! :D I've heard it's really tough, but awesome to hear that you've done it before and lost 8 lbs!! so know that you can definitely do it again. :D Good luck! :D

Also, hope your knee feels better!!

Ali - Hi! Have an awesome time in New York! Do you have specific plans of things to do while you're there? Enjoy!

Oooh...yeah I've seen those lil' Edy's containers at the grocery store..nice! :) Nice treat for your sore throat I bet. :) Hope the antibiotics work for you and you get better soon!!

Greta - Hi!

Carrie - Yes, I hope your Chicken Pot Pie was yummy! I love ckn pot pie! :)

I'm glad to be back here too! :D

Yes, moderation of Halloween candy...good to hear :D

Aww...Twilight books! YAY! It was sad when the books were done...but as I've said, I'm excited for the movies too! New Moon movie should be AWESOME and hot! haha. As much as I am an Edward fan....Jacob (Taylor Lautner, though he's only like 17 irl, is looking...wow!) haha. Is that bad to say? lol.

Anyway...also thanks again Carrie for setting up the Christmas Exchange. Nice! :D

I have some questions that I want all you ladies to answer that are involved in the Christmas exchange. I want to get some ideas.....but want answer from all of you. :D

I will post the questions in my journal....so please check it later. :D

(hugs!)

Have a great day! Ttyl lovely ladies!

~Margo

*EDIT* Sorry I missed commenting on your post Sarah...I agree, we're here for you and will cheer you on to your 128 goal! :D :D

I was probably typing too much and missed Stacy's comment too!! Hope your headache goes away and feel better! That's okay, whine away chica! ;D Keep us posted on the P90X! I can only imagine how sore I'd be... Actually, though I'm a bit sore today from my circuit training workout last night....so I hear ya at least some. :)

Oh sure.. As soon as I log off yesterday you ladies get chatty!!! kidding...

Good morning. Happy Friday to all. I'm so happy it's friday but I'm going to be super busy today at work making sure I get all my loose ends tied up because I'm going to be away for 3 weeks!!! I'm not complaining about having lots of time off I just wish it was under better circumstances. Oh well, At least I will get to spend lots of time with my mom.

Ali- I hope it's not strep throat. Strep throat sucks. I used to get it all the time when I was younger. Not so much anymore. My son got Strep throat last year around christmas. Funny thing is he didn't display any symptoms so the virus moved to an infection in his knee and caused it swell up and cause a lot of pain. Who knew you could get strep knee!!! P90X is a 90 day extreme fitness plan. It comes with 12 workout DVDs and a nutrition plan. It is super hard but really gets you fit. They have a website if you want to check it out. Oh and have fun in NY. That is on my places to see before I die list!!

Don't worry all. I'm sure you ladies will hear lots about my progress as I whine about how sore I am LOL... Good news though. My knee is feeling a bit better. It is really only hurting when I go up and down stairs. Sarah I agree, the elliptical is boring. I can do like 15 min max on it.

All this talk of ice cream and stuff is funny. I was online yesterday reading the news paper and get this... There is a TCBY in Calgary, there was an ad for it. I had no idea since I had never even heard of it. It's on the other side of the city but I may take the trip to give it a try.

Sarah- we will cheer you on as you try to get to 128. I hope things go well for you. If you need motivation we will push you.. Good luck.

So my night sucked kind of. I did good again with my eating, but didn't work out because i had a wicked headache. There is a chinook here right now which causes a crazy change in pressure (do you get chinooks anywhere there, It's a warm westerly wind from the mountains). The good news is it is super nice out here. The bad news is the headaches... But this morning I got on the scale and was 133.6! only 0.2 lbs up from Sunday. YAY for me!! I totally thought I was blowing this week and would be back up to 135. The week is not over yet but I got my fingers crossed.

Anyway... Hope you have a good day. I'm sure I'll be on later to chat some more hoping somebody has posted something new : )

Stacy - Hope you enjoy the time with your Mom (HUGE HUGS!!!!) Smile I'm sorry to hear she's so ill. :( (hugs again!)

Also...ladies...there's some more questions in my journal entry, please go check! :D

Hey you guys!  Glad to see some of you are so talkative :)

Stacy I hope that work doesn't get too stressful and that you enjoy the 3 weeks off, and really enjoy the time with your mother.  It sounds like she's a really wonderful woman.  p90x!  I can't wait to hear about it.

Margo Margo Margo I'm going to go check out your journal after this.  I thought it was so funny that you're having everyone answer the questions, maybe we will all benefit from it :)  Very clever.

Ok so today was my biopsy, needs no explination really, it's a biopsy, on my lady parts.  I had the biggest pity party ever and I just needed to vent to you guys.  It hurts when I walk, it hurts when I sit down, it hurts when I use anything near or around my hoo ha.  There, I let it out.  I obviously can't say that to my co-workers.  So I'm bringing myself back to reality with some chocolate I purposely packed in my lunch.  And tonight Jaime is going to get me ice cream.  Nothing like ice cream to fix your biopsy problems.  Oh and the doctor said I'm perfectly fine, just a little spot to check but it was no big deal.

Oh my Carrie... Sorry to hear. My sympathy is with you. I wish I had a forum to vent in when I got my IUD put in. OUCH!!!! Hopefully the pain eases.. When I was in the hospital after giving birth they gave me maxi pads that they drenched with water and froze to wear to ease the pain. Totally different situation but same area in pain right... Worse case scenario you could sit on a bag of frozen peas Embarassed

Ok so here it is 10 am and I managed to get everything at work done. I don't want to start anything else because I'm not going to finish it... Now I have 5.5 hours left and nothing to do!!!!!!!!!! It's going to be a long day

Margo-I hope everyone answers the questions in your journal (I will do it after this) and then we can all see what our person answered and get help :)

Carrie-Chocolate makes everything better.  Even birdcages (hoo-ha, vajay-jay, whatever!).  Glad to hear all was fine, though!

Stacy-I'm glad you will be able to spend so much time with your mom....and I know it will make you and her feel better too.  Thanks for explaining the chinook--I thought it was just a helicopter ;)

Carrie - YOWCH! :( I hope the chocolate and ice cream ease some of your pain at least and good to know it turned out nothing is wrong other than your physical pains of course. :( (hugs!!!)

Vent away dear!

Stacy - also sounds painful with the whole pad thing too! frozen pads! Wow. Though I guess it'd help...

Frozen peas...hmm...helpful too I guess, right? :D

As for having a long day w. nothing to do at work...I've had those days. I feel your pain! May I ask though, might have missed that part...what do you do for work?

Glad you ladies answered my questions. :D Thanks! :D

Yes, I had no idea what the chinook was until Stacy explained it. :D

I was thinking that the Chinook was a Saskwatch :)

Carrie - HAHAHA! :)

OMG I was totally laughing reading your girls posts. I guess you don't get chinooks there. Helicopter and Sasquatch.

Nope Margo you didn't miss it. I don't think I ever said what I do for work. I don't think it came up in conversation. I work in a call centre for a utility company. I'm an analyst there so I create a lot of reports and spreadsheets and stuff. It's almost as nerdy as an accountants job : ) I like it though. I'm just crazy like that. The company is EPCOR. Its one of the official suppliers to the 2010 Olympics so if you watch any of that in Feb keep your eye open for signs. The company actually gave us Olympic wind jackets and vests this year as gifts. They are nice.  and What do you do?? Actually I don't think I know what any of you do... except Carrie, she teaches piano. But the rest of you....???

I don't know if the peas would really help Carrie. My pain at the time was definitely external and I'm guessing hers is more internal?? Let me tell you, one should never have to get stitches in the nether regions.....

Stacy - haha. Yeah, never heard of chinooks before. :)

As for your job...okay, cool. :) Glad you like it. Ooohh Sponsor of 2010 Olympics! COOL! :) Nice that you got gifts!!

I'm the Exec. Admin. Asst. to the plastic homegoods company Sterilite.  Check out our website, www.sterilite.com :D We have a division in Canada too! :)

As for if I like what I do...it's okay...errr...just have to say for our economy in the U.S. right now that I'm happy to have a job and one that pays alright.

Uhhh...stiches down there...owww! :(

Surprise, I'm on again. I have nothing to do right now. I might run across the street and get me a grande skinny vanilla latte.....

Margo- It's the same here in Canada. We are all glad to have a job. I've been with my company for 7 1/2 years doing a variety of jobs. My current position I've been doing for about 2 years or so.

So I forgot to mention... About my party on Saturday. My husband and a friend of mine are planning it so the only thing I have known is that there is a party. I know that there is a theme that requires decorations... So last night my husband and I were out on the veranda having a coffee and a smoke (yep I smoke.. BAD GIRL.. I plan on quitting once I get my weight and other personal issues under control, it requires a lot of focus) anyway... My neighbour was outside too and they are coming to the party. He kind of accidentally leaked that the party has a DISCO THEME!!!! I'm so excited. That's going to be so much fun. I hope there is a disco ball. My husband has been doing something on the computer for like 2 weeks now. I'm guessing either disco music or some sort of a slideshow but I'm not sure.... You guys will hear all about it on Monday.

Oh and be sure to check my facebook. My friend Terry always posts pictures there.

Stacy - Nice that you've been there a while and still enjoy it. :)

Oh SO fun that you're having a themed party!!! I'm jealous!! Disco..wow! That's cool. I hope you have a fantastic time! Yes, will have to check out FB. :D Exciting!

Nice that your husband is helping with the planning....that means a lot...I'd think. :) My b.f....I'm not sure what he's going to do for mine exactly. We'll just have to see...

As for the smoking...yeah, I can understand it takes a lot. I've never smoked, but my bf. was a smoker. He'll be 2 yrs. 'smoke free' Thanksgiving of this year. :D He said it's the hardest thing he's ever done, but I know that he (as well as me) am SO glad he quit. He said he feels better all around...glad he's not coughing all the time, more energy, etc.

Anyway, good luck in your journey with that when you are ready to quit. :D Support is good to have as well. We're here for you on that front too! :D

(hugs!)

Smoking!  I used to smoke but I've been smoke free for almost three years now :)  My husband said he wouldn't marry a smoker so when he proposed I quit.  It was really easy to quit doing it but very hard to quit craving it, I still do from time to time.  Good luck with that.  We'll be here when you decide to and we'll cheer you on :)

Heather where are you!?  We miss your windy city updates.

Margo you went from zero to 100 in posting lately :)  I'm glad, it's great to have you back.  Is life getting a little bit better yet?

So the pain is way less now, walking feels great and sitting isn't too bad.  My husband came and took me out to lunch (hot dogs and nachos) exactly the thing I needed, I haven't really eaten well today.. or much.  That filled me up and filled my sprits :)  Oh and I can cross my legs now!

It's very slow today at work.  I'm litterally sitting around thinking of things I could be doing.  Bach, I should go look at some music.  (I mean, I have hundreds of pianos around and tons of music just sitting here)  Tomorrow I have to babysit a student of mine and her friend who's spending the night.  They are 13ish but there have been burglaries in their neighborhood so the parents asked if I could stay with them while they go to a wedding.  We'll be making cookies (you hear that Greta?  I said the C word.. one of many amazing C words.. cookies... cakes... confections... Carrie.. the list goes on).

You guys remember when I talked about the fleas?  Well we have done two flea baths on the dogs, one flea de-ridder carpet cleaning, and today after I get finished with work we're taking Churchill to the vet for shots.. he's badly allergic and it just didn't get any better.  He has this beautifully soft silky silver hair and his backside is BALD! Poor monkey.
