So we did bodypump on Sunday.

I'm so sore I can't even move.   I've never been so sore in my life.

I guess that's a good thing? Anyone else have that problem?

Sorry to hear you're sore though! :(

I imagine as long as your being sore isn't something of an injury, but just because you haven't worked out those muscles that way in a while *or ever* that you will be fine. :D

The 1st time I ever took the weight lifting class I was sooo sore the next day.  Also, now, if I stop taking the class for any real length of time, when I get back into it, I can feel sore afterwards.

I say, you're doing great! Keep it up! Can't wait to hear more about your progress! :D

Personally, I am hoping to one day (sooner than later) be able to say I have an overall toned/strong body! :D That's 1 of my goals. :)  Strong back, toned arms, tight abs/rear, slimmer/toned thighs/legs, etc. :D

So...I lost a lil' bit. :D

One of my mini goals is to reach 130 lbs. by Oct. 11. There is a party that my b/f and I are going to and wanted to make that date a 'goal' date.

The next one will be for Halloween Laughing whether I have newhere to dress up or not. :)

I'm giving up the scale for a few weeks and taking measurements.  This is so discouraging!

How can I have a 11700 calorie difference over the month and lose 0 pounds?  I hate the fact that this bothers me so much, but it does!

On the upside, my weight has been very consistent all month and my knee doesn't hurt when I run.  I started my 18 week marathon training program on Monday!   

Wednesday Weigh-in already? I am seriously in shock at how fast this week is going.

This weekend is the sister's wedding and I am so excited to be up in the Northwoods with my entire family for a long weekend! (We'll be in Minocqua, WI)

I'm not obligated to make a speech b/c i'm not technically maid of honor, her stepdaughter is, but i think  brook should probably have someone just for her speak, ya know? but them i don't want to drag out the speeches or step on the stepdaughter's toes...i wonder if my dad is going to make a speech too. brook said whatever i want to do.

well i wrote a draft and i'm going to post it in my journal- suggestions welcome! maybe shorter. maybe funnier. maybe too many examples. maybe i sound like an **** (even though our relationship really was reciprocal)

Need to stay motivated in the workout area....the hubby is home again, so it's been difficult.  We've been doing some home improvements, so that has been the bulk of my workouts.  *sigh*

Candy season is right around the corner isn't it?  Oh no!  Better start resisting now!

BUT I have been good on portion control, and I have also gone to the bodypump class.  I can walk just fine today, full range of motion... almost :)  Things should look up soon, I need to remember to start taking measurements.

Wow, kind of a static week for everyone! I'm also still at 125.5. But I expected to be more, because I haven't been eating well and totm is due any day now.

Simi - Good job at that body pump class! Sounds like you really pushed yourself!

Heather - I hope you have sooo much fun at the wedding in that lovely dress! Good luck with the speech, too...

I second Danielle, Ingrid and everybody else...let's take some new measurements for next week! Maybe I should take some progress pics too, since I haven't done that since I got under 130. I'm still feeling self-conscious about my belly though...it's so "bumpy"....

My weigh in for today:

LW: 133.6 lbs.

CW: 133.8 lbs.

Yeah, a tiny increase, but I'm okay with that for now.  At least I'm proud of myself for working out well this week so far. :D

2 hrs. Sunday (1 hr. Power (or Body Pump as some of you know it as...:D), 1 hr. of Kick (which is cardio kickboxing), 1 hr. Monday of Kick, 30 mins. Tuesday, 25 min. of doing The Biggest Loser Cardio workout and ~5 mins. abs workout from a couple different ab workouts all from Comcast's On Demand Life/Fitness section.

Taking a day off today.  Tomorrow and Friday may not be able to get to the gym, but will try to do a little workout in the a.m. - like some basic circuit training with crunches, jumping jacks, and jump rope or something like that.

Then hope to get some good workouts in on Sat. and Sunday....

ANYWAY!!! That's what I've got going on so far...

Measurements...yes, I have some of that info. in my journal, started the measuring the other day. So, we'll see where I am in a few more weeks.

As for progress pics. Hm....I contemplated that yesterday....So, we will see. :D

Real honestly here....a sort of wake-up for me...kinda descriptive.

Yesterday, when I did my On Demand workout with the BL Cardio segment...it was just me in the apt. so I thought...hmmm...why don't I see how confident I feel...so I worked out with just my sports bra, pants and sneaks....didn't cover up with a tee.  At first I felt strong....made me put more power into the moves.

Then there was one move where we went down for push ups then plank....and as I was doing the move, I ended up looking down at my stomach...I was in a sort of shock....and not really in a good way.

(This is kinda err...)

I just saw all the excess belly 'fat' just hanging down...I felt horrible...wish I could've just taken that stuff away....and if I could have right then, I know I have potential for a great midsection..or so I hope.  However, seeing the reality of what I am right now, made me want to cry almost....

As much as I thought I looked alright standing up....and for the 1st time working out without a tee shirt on to cover up myself....I could see what was happening to me when I did those moves.

It was really kinda....I'm not sure what to call it.... but I didn't like it....and hope I can get rid of those unwanted parts and become strong and sexy...sooner than later!

Though I still struggle with sooo many things...and hope that I can keep my 'reality check' from yesterday in mind when I want that extra piece of whatever it is....or want to indulge too much.

:D Anyway....sorry for that ackward part....I just thought I'd share.

Hope the rest of you ladies do feel confident and post some progress pics though! :D

Now that I  just described that part about me, I'm not sure I should. haha.

Started taking measurements last week and discovered this week that your measurements DO go up during TTOM.  Didn't think about that!  I haven't seen my weight over 130 for a while, so it was a little weird seeing it on the scale this morning.  I know it will go down, but still...

Also taking progress pics.  Contemplated not doing it today because of the bloated and tiredness (5:30 am is not a flattering time to take pictures), but I wanted a baseline.  It can only get better from here!

Hope things are going well for all of you busy ladies!  Three days left until the weekend!

Ingrid -  Yeah, TOTM affects so much..doesn't it. Err. I too am just about at that time and so I have to remind myself that any 'gaining' or 'bloated' feelings are tied mostly to that and I also have to keep my cravings in check.

I'm 132 this morning :(

I was 131.5 last week, so it's not that big an increase, I'm not too upset.  My tummy still feels bloated, I hate it.  BUT I have a cold, so I'm not going to work out today and maybe not on Friday either.  My husband and I are going with friends to Six Flags on Saturday, so that will be fun, lots of walking! And then Sunday comes body pump!!!! We'll see how it goes.

Margo I know how you feel, esp. after going on birth control my tummy just hasn't looked the same.  My husband (in an attempt to make me feel better!) said, look honey, every woman has that little pooch, it just means you're a woman, you look fine. I only wish I felt that confidant about it:)

Hey ladies! Sorry i've been MIA. I am going on 2.5 weeks of having my period, so i havent been motivated to weigh in:-( I had a pretty bad weekend (drank beer 3 nights in a row) but I have still been working out through the week.

I decided that I would only be taking measurements once a month so i can see a little bit bigger difference, and will weigh in every Wednesday.

Smiles- I know how you feel about your image. It also discourage sme how people are always like "your so tiny, stop working out." First of all, how do you expect me to keep the figure i have if i stop working out? Second, I KNOW IM NOT FAT, however, i still have some unnecessary body fat that could be lost. When I look at myself in the mirror I can see that "tube" of fate around my waist bubbeling over my pant line and it is SO ANNOYING.

Haha...on a more positive note, all of us girls on this forum should be proud of ourselves for always keeping our goals in mind and are bodies going! Even if we have those slump weeks it's okay, we are not robots. Congrats to everyone!!

:) Yeah, though it may be hard for us at times to see the positive side...be thankful you have a man that is soo supportive and encouraging. That really helps too! :D

Confidence, as most anything, doesn't happen overnight....just keep at it...just as much as you are your weight loss/workouts. :D

Yes, I agree, measure once a month or so sounds good...and keep up with the weekly weigh ins. :D

As cheesy as it may be, I find comfort in and look forward to sharing my progress (and even bad times) with you ladies! :D

As for keeping up with your workouts...definitely!!! You got it...you have to keep at it....there's usually always room for improvement....and if you are at your 'happy weight/figure'...you still have to work to maintain it. :D

So, *pashaw* to those others..haha...you're doing great! :D

P.S. I signed up for a demo. group circuit training workout at my local gym for this Saturday...*gulp*, wish me luck and to have fun and do well at it! :D

Since I plan on signing up for the two day a week program! :D It'd be for T/Th for a month.....figure I'd be able to gain some knowledge and workouts from it as well as better myself! :D 

I did the Personal Trainer for a month or two last year...but this time it's going to be with lots of other people.  I've seen it done lots of times, but never actually participated...until now...So, we'll see.

I'll let you know on Monday how it went! :D The actual 2 day program would start on Oct. 21/23...so I'll keep you posted. :D

I'm currently 132lbs and want to get down to 110... 110 has always been my goal weight but I've never been able to get into the 120's... My lowest weight (in recent years) has always been 130, this time I'm gonna breakthrough that barrier though!

Wednesday Weigh-In!

Blah, I'm 135.4 today :(

I just saw a group listed for "Ideal Weight By Christmas." That made me realize we only have 11 weeks until Christmas and it probably would take me (at least) that long to get back to 125. And we are 6 weeks away from Thanksgiving.

haha, that reminds me of the weight loss chart I made last year, "Let's Unwrap a Sexy Christmas Present to Ourselves."

smiles: I know what you mean where feeling sexy & confident can be a double edged sword. I know I let myself eat out more and get extra portions and not worry about treats because I feel like my body is better/good now. But that causes me to gain and I still have farther to go to reach my goals!

angela: I have to say I am jealous of your progress! go angela!

burnyha: glad to hear your husband is home! I've been struggling with staying motivated to workout too with my new schedule.

dmartineau: how miserable! but good to hear you've still been working out! i need that motivation.

TOTM, bad eating this weekend and this week...and here's my results for this weigh in: 

LW: 133.8 lbs.

CW: 132.4  lbs.

I'm surprised and happy for that, but it doesn't give me an excuse to continue to give in to my excess sweet cravings during this week..err..      Anyway,

Hbroadbent - I like that  'Unwrap a Sexy Present for ourselves' idea and making it into a chart: nice. :D We'll just have to work that much harder and be that much more focused, then right? Since Thanksgiving and Christmas time isn't too far away!

*Cheers* To us (and the rest of the 130/120 ladies) to reaching at least one of our goals for these next 2 holidays....just stay positive and try to focus on your 1 goal for Thanksgiving and your 1 goal for Christmas...instead of dwelling or overwhelming yourself about how much overall you may have to lose or whatnot.    (huge hugs!!)    Btw, sorry, I can't remember.....did you have to give the speech for your sister's wedding already?? If so, how'd it go???? If not, are you ready? :D

City on fire - Welcome! For a smaller goal for now, how about shooting for 125 lbs. then go from there? :D That's where I am going for as my short term goal. :)

Today here in MA, the Fall leaves are beautiful...it's nice to be able to say that....haha. Cuz I know what's coming next...winter..(shutter!)   Anyway, hope all of you are having a good week and if you aren't...I hope it gets better for you. :)
