130/120 Club?
If anyone knows of the proper topic, would you mind letting me know?
Thank you :)
I think it's so neat that we're all about the same height and weight but we're proportioned so differently. Wow! I just think that's really cool (until I go shopping for jeans, that is
). I took pictures today before I went to work out and have them up in my gallery to compare with the pictures I'll take next month. I look forward to seeing some more definition in my arms!
Wow!
Everyone looks great and the measurements are lookin' good too!
Keep it up ladies!
Well, as for me, yesterday early a.m. when I posted my measurements, etc. I was doin' just fine and excited about my new circuit training program ,etc.
That was until I headed to work.. ![]()
I got in a stupid car accident because some stupid 16 yr. old girl decided to not stop completely where she should have at this intersection (though a bit dangerous in itself, she should've paid more attention!!!) and crossed in front of me and I tried to break, but it wasn't in enough time and I ended up hitting her driver's side back tire area! Damn! Now, my car is in the shop, I have a rental and VERY sore! Though got muscle relaxers and stuff from doctor yesterday, so should be more or less okay, just really sore for a few more days.
The other driver is okay too.
So...in saying all that, I didn't workout yesterday of course...and tonight's circuit training program is a no-go...and I'm not planning on working out too much this weekend! GRRR! So, we'll see how I feel for next week. :(
Just when I try to get back into a routine something always happens to me! (I get sick, I fall, or have a car accident! :( ) though, I'm not giving up of course, I just have to take the necessary measures to recover. :(
Anyway, hope all you ladies have a good day.
Ttyl.

Margo- I am so sorry that happened to you. Even a fender bender is stressful, this type of accident is hard on the body & mind. Stay strong and know that we are all here to support you! You know from experience that you are strong enough to jump back on the wagon once you are healed. Do what your body needs and you will be fine in the end.
I have an idea to help keep you spirits up!! Use this accident as an opportunity to focus on your nutrition
while you are recooperating you could use your energy that isn't being spent at the gym in planning and preparing healthy meals!
Just an idea, hope it helps
(oh yeah, I weighed in this morning...129.5 down half a pound since last time)
Hey there Danielle!
Thanks for the kind words! They are much appreciated! :D
I think that sounds like a good idea too...:D Right now there's no funds for food..err...shopping this week, but I will still do what I can to find some yummy and healthy recipes while resting this week/weekend from all the various resources I have around the apt. (my Biggest Loser cookbook, Food recipe cards I picked up at Wal-Mart awhile back, food magazines, etc.
I've been wanting to find recipes and such to eat better foods lately anyhow, so many this is a good way to go about it. :D
Thanks! *hugs!*
Congrats on your 129.5 lb. victory as well! Whooohooo!
Ttyl. :D

Sorry I slacked off :) I forgot to put in my weight.
Weight is up a little bit, 132, but the big news is my measurements. My waist (smallest part of my torso) is 26" a little more actually but I rounded :) My bellybutton waist has gone down from 33" to 32" So that is wonderful news :) I'm struggling with tummy problems now, so I'm really excited. I want to get it to 30" and I think I will soon.
My height is 5'7" in case you need to know that too :) I hope to get my pictures up soon as well.
I also lied about running five miles this week. Somehow forgot it's my husband's birthday today when i planned that, so I've been busy in my free time getting his presents and making his cakes etc. I learned how to do the fondant icing that they make for wedding cakes. You guys are going to hate me. It's one pound of marshmellows and two pounds of powdered sugar. a little bit of water too but hey. It's a good thing I don't really like cake all that much.
Margo- I'm glad to hear you are ok, that soreness should rub off soon!! Hope your car is alright.
There is a group for people who are aiming to get to 130 or below...
Aiming For 130 Or Below: http://caloriecount.about.com/aiming-below-g4 53
I'm in the same as you guys. I was 130 and heading to 120, but this summer was on vacation for 3-4 months and I had no access to the gym, ate out and drink alcohol, which I rarely did during my diet and I ended up to 140 by the time I cam back home. When I came back home, it was rough getting back into my diet and exercise and gained about 5 more. I finally started a few weeks ago and now I'm 142.6. So I created a few teams to help me reach 120. I hope you all join the team and we can all motivate each other to get to our goal weight.
So... I looked at that group and there wasn't really anything in there that we aren't already doing ourselves, and some random post by someone saying they only eat 600 calories per day, and a reply by someone who's 'weekly reward' is a few hersey's kisses.... well.. that seems a bit restrictive.
We went to the gym today and the class had been moved because of personal training for the staff, but will resume next weekend. So I did 30 minutes of running/walking intervals, which surprisingly was very easy. I felt so good afterwards, better than I've ever felt while running. I think I'll do it again tomorrow :)
This week I have to do 5 miles.
Well, I didn't mean she should just eat a few hersey kiss weekly. She also sent me a mail stating that its her fav and thats mostly of what she eats/ binges on them daily. So I informed her to eat it, but in moderation. As for the weekly rewards, I meant that she should find some things to reward herself for having a good week-- maybe not just a few kersey kisses. I don't think anyone should eat 600 calories a day. I eat around 1400-1500 calories and I did inform her that she should eat more than that. Thanks for checking out the team tho. =)
Morning ladies!
Simi - Happy to hear that you're workout went well the other day! Keep it up! :D
Welcome, Sweetness0721! This forum is great! All the awesome ladies here are very uplifting and supportive! :D
As for my workout lately...
Yeah, since I had my car accident on Wed., I didn't workout all week or weekend. I wanted to let my body recoup from being sore from accident and such.
So, I'm goin' to the gym tonight for an interval workout on the treadmill, then back to my circuit training program on Tuesday, which I'm looking forward to!
Having not worked out for almost a week, I've got to just ease back into things....but I'm hoping all goes well. :D
I went grocery shopping yesterday and did what I could to buy healthy food options from what $ I had, since most of my paychk. from this past week is tied up in stupid the car rental deposit! GRRR! Though, I'm hoping to work around that and still stay on track with eating right and exercising again. :D
Btw, tried a semi-healthy dessert last night at my b/f's parents house! Whoohoo! Was proud of myself for it! :D Instead of cookies or ice cream or whatever...my b/f's Mom and I made baked apples with honey and cinnamon! :D They were delicious! It was like having apple pie - but w/o the crust. Sooo tasty! Used a small glass casserole dish, put some water in the bottom just enough to cover the bottom of the pan (to keep apples moist and from burning while they bake). We used MacIntosh apples, cored out the seeds fm. the center, left the skin on the apple. Sprinkled in some cinnamon in each one and then put in maybe 1/2 - 1 tspn. of honey in each apple, depending on the size. Then baked them in the oven, about 400 degrees for about 30 mins., then poked the apples a bit with a fork to check every so often to see if the apples were tender.
Anyway...yeah, it's not that hard to make, but I was excited about it b/c I'd never had apples baked that way before....haha. It was kinda cool to eat the apple with the skin already on it because the skin acted as a natural 'bowl' keeping the apple, honey and cinnamon all together nicely. I didn't eat the skin, but tore the skins apart to get all I could from the insides..haha.
ANYWAY - lol -
- just wanted to share that tasty fall time treat! :D
Hope you all have a great week! Can't believe this Friday is Halloween too! Sheesh!
Take care and ttyl. :D
-Margo
Yumm that recipe reminds me of when I was little. We used to eat apples cored with brown sugar in the middle, "baked" in the microwave. It's the same idea, just with brown sugar. it was a treat every onc ein a while and my sister and I loved them!
Since Margo mentioned halloween, is anyone going to parties? What are your costumes? I just found out about a party on friday, but i have no idea what to do for a costume. i don't want to be super sexy cause I'm sick of girls using halloween as an excuse to look like a slut lol. I've done it before and it wasn't really fun cause i just felt cheap. I want something creative or funny. I'm struggling because i want to look Good, but not half naked.
Anyone else struggling with this, or have any ideas?
Hey Danielle -
Oh that's cool....baked apples when you were little. :D Awesome. :D
As for the Halloween party costume idea...err..sorry I'm not too into what's a good costume these days. hehe. Haven't dressed up in ages....
Wish I had a party to go to this year....haha. :D
Anyway, have a great time whatever you go as..:D
-Margo
Yay Halloween!!! We bought a big bag of candy for trick or treaters this weekend, I'm so excited. Some friends of ours bought their first house (the rest of us folks are still in apartments) so I'm going to crash there and hand out candy, I'm very excited. We also have a party to go to on Saturday and I guess I'm going as a witch because I can't think of anything else cheap enough. Target had these really cute northern 'fur' looking hats and I thought we could go as Russians... just keep saying 'eh commrad' to everyone.. well... sorta inside joke :) Or we could go as people from the movie Fargo, you'd have to see it to understand. Then we figured we could just go as northerners... no offense! (my family is from Illinois so I actually love the north)
hehehe lol at Simi for thinking about "going as northerners." That thought had never occurred to me.
So I kinda disappeared. I got sick. Ended up back in my home state and in the hospital for eight days. Fun times. Lost some weight. Not sure how much, because I left my scale back at home, but I estimated about 5 lbs, putting me at about 120ish (now back up a little). My mom is stuffing food down my throat with the encouragement of my best friend, so I take it I don't look good to them.
At some point during my hospitalization, I believe there was one particular calorie-less night in which my internal organs conspired together, then attacked and ate my butt.
Seriously. It's practically gone. Never in my wildest dreams...
Good work these few weeks, ladies! I'll check in with measurements or something on Wednesday!
Simi - Funny post about the Halloween ideas..:D
Hope you have a great time!
Wonderswhy - Oh no! So sorry to hear you were in the hospital! Hope you get better soon!
Though I have to say, your comment about your butt disappearing was kinda funny...;D Good to see that you have a sense of humor. :D
"At some point during my hospitalization, I believe there was one particular calorie-less night in which my internal organs conspired together, then attacked and ate my butt."
Have a happy Tuesday ladies! :D
Hahah yea I guess I could go as a northerner, I wouldn't have to buy anything! I'm already in Southern Canada ( lol Maine). I'm considering Bonnie and Clyde with my boyfriend, but my girl friend wants to be something scary so who knows.
Danielle - Oh, Bonnie n Clyde with your boyfriend sounds fun....though whatever happens, have a good time and be safe! :D
Well, ladies, it's that time again, weigh in..:D
I think we should do our measurements once a month, though, along with our 1 month progress pic., but keep posting our weight as we have been each week. Only b/c I'm not really sure there's going to be a huge difference each week with the measurements, ya know? That's my opinion...however, I am going to post my measurements today, only b/c I was measured for my Circuit Training program yesterday at my gym, so someone else took the measurements (instead of me doing it myself) and so things should be a little more accurate that way.
Soo..haha...here goes:
- Waist (1" above my bellybutton, w/ gym shirt on) ~ 26 1/2"
- Hips ~ 38"
- Mid-Thigh ~ 16"
- Mid-Bicep/Tricep area ~ 9 1/2"
So, a month from now, I will post my measurements again. :D
As for weigh in, here's my results:
- LW: 131.2 lbs.
- CW: 130.8 lbs.
I hope I can keep up and see that 130 # go down!! :D Sore today from my gym class last night, but glad I went. :D
Have a happy Wednesday ladies! :D Ttyl.
-Margo
Hi all!
I think I've determined that I'm not pregnant. I took a test yesterday and it was negative and today I feel disgusting which means TTOM is probably around the corner. I'm surprised to find myself a little disappointed. My weight decided to jump two pounds overnight as well. Fun. ![]()
LW: 126.8
CW:129
I'm sure next week will be better. Good luck to you all!
Ingrid - Well, I'm going to presume that you were hoping to be pregnant, so sorry to hear that you aren't right now. Wish you well for whenever you are though. :D
Also, sorry to hear you're feeling 'disgusting' at the moment....yeah, TOTM and any weight gain b/c of it is such a downer but happy to see you still have your positive attitude. Next week WILL be better...:D (hugs!)
Just hope that no one indulges too much on candy this weekend..haha. Halloween time and all. ![]()
-Margo
What does indulging on too much candy mean? I think I fit into that category.. I'm a candy-holic.
Ok my weight today was 132, I'm staying around the same weight.. maybe I shouldn't worry about it anymore huh?
Measurements for this week (and Margo I am going to do it each week otherwise I will forget!)
Waist - 26"
Belly Button - 31"
Hips - 39"
Ingrid - You are making me jealous with all this baby talk! I keep having to remind myself that there are dreams and ambitions that should come before a baby... but I always fall into the thought of but wouldn't it be great if.. I'm sure you do too.
I wanna have a baby too!
(erm, I'm not married...I don't even have a boyfriend, but still! hehehehe)
Forgot to post yesterday. I seem to have lost track of the days while on my "sick leave." And yes, Margo, humor is the only way to go. BTW, sorry to hear life has had some rough spots for you lately as well...)
I did basic measurements this morning: (if I measure any other places I have trouble being consistent about exact location)
chest: 34 (1 inch down from August)
waist: 25 (same)
hips: 35 (2 inches down from August...it sure looks like more in the mirror!)
I've gained a few lbs back and am feeling pretty okay with hanging here and waiting to see if the new fat will redistribute itself AWAY from my stomach, haha. Meanwhile I need to learn not to stuff my face with the food around me, since I've been indulging my every craving since leaving the hospital.
Fortunately my new aversion to sugar should help me over Halloween...good luck to the rest of you!
(sorry, that was mean
)
