300+ Club?

Quote  |  Reply
Okay, I feel superfat on this forum, with all the 130 people wanting to be 120 or 110 and all.  Am I the only one starting from the dreaded 3s?  I mean, I've got to lose the equivalent of most of the people here's whole bodies!  Let's have some solidarity, if you're out there.  Where my fat chicks at? ;)

I'm 29 (30 in March), 5'7", happily married, no kids.  At least, no kids yet... my doctor doesn't think it would be he althy/safe for me to get pregnant yet.  Â Part of why I'm here.  Started at 322 (highest weight ever)  on 1/10/2007, currently 311.6, aiming for 150... by 9 /9/2008, if I can swing it.

I'm actually slightly involved in the Fat Acceptance movement, I believe in HAES, and I don't have much (any) faith in dieting at this point in my life.  However, since I personally am not he althy at (or particularly pleased with) my curren t size, I'm giving it the ol' college  try one more time.

So.  Am I the only 300+ person here?

(And why does this forum format my posts so strangely?)

Hello....I am not 300 but I am most def. not 130! LOL! Do you have AIM?
I do, but I'm not on it very much.  It's ninjakoneko. :)
You are not the only one by any stretch. Check out the Motivation forum. Here's one thread (of several) w/ plenty of solidarity :-) When I weighed in at the doc's office in july of 2005 I was at 344. (I'm also 5'7") I know I had been considerably above that as well, I just don't know the number. Good luck with your goals. Check out some of these summarization type posts that members have written over time, they can be quite helpful. -FFK (fellow fat chick)

Hey,

I just started this site last week, and im already into the swing of things. Im starting at a weight of 355 pounds, hoping to lose 155. I understand the difficulties that come with being our size, but i have no doubt that we will be able to shed off this weight. The fact that you came to this website says alot about yourself. You want to change, and that, i am to understand, is half the struggle.  There are many other individuals who can assist you better than i can, and hopefully they'll give you the same imformation that has inspired me. This site is also an excellent resource for logging your meals, and activities, and getting imformation from other users who face the very same struggles as you do(i for one). But anywho, i better be off on my morning walk.

Good bye and good luck:)
Well I found this post and thought I would share with you, I was 340 lbs I was married and had no children, I never realized that my weight stopped me from becomming pregnant, I took 51/2 yrs finally have my daughter who is now 10 I had to lose weight, I lost about 60 lbs and pow it happened, when my ex and I split I was so depressed because I was now out of my cushy safe world into the hate fat world!! I never noticed in those years the amount of people out there who look down on plus size people, I knew this was a problem within myself to, I dont like fat no less on me yet I did nothing about it..So I took control and lost a total of 120 lbs gained back 28 after my son was born and in the last 5 yrs since his birth found it horrible to try to lose,,lose a few gaine a few plus, so I came on here 1 week ago after 1 week on my own 1st week lost 6 now another 4 so 11 of the 28 gone, Im hopeful, key is you have to WANT IT!!! how badly do you want children? to be healthy? be able to even run around with them? so many factors come into play, I have to say "I WILL NEVER BE 340 AGAIN I was so unhappy with myself and Love the energy I have 66 more lbs to get to my 1st goal of 170 then 160 if possible...my aim sn is redheadsrule1969 feel free to look me up!!!
