140/130 club

Quote  |  Reply
Anyone in this grouping looking to drop from 140 to 130's.  We can all use support.  Today I am focusing on all the food groups.  Exercise would be good, but I won't be able to since I am working from 9 to 10:30.  A Super long day.  I hope I can stay focused, when I pass the fast food chaines on my travels today.

ok. I just wanted the chart... that seems like too much work to put it in there :) I'll just stick with my ticker in there!

Does anyone know any idea of calorie counts in sushi? I want to get some tonight and all I could find here was a fillet... ? Not that familiar with sushi, but I do like it! I was going to get it tonight with a side salad, but unsure if I have enough calorie room to get some animal crackers out of the vending maching :) Any kind of sushi is fine... I can try different ones!
thank you everyone for the wonderful compliments :) my hubby hasnt seen the dress yet, lol.. so hopefully he likes it as much as everyone else does lol..:)

dee - how are you doing this morning ?? (i guess its afternoon for most of ya'll now,eh??  geez just 622am here... lol)

srd - getting my weight chart on my profile wasnt easy.. i had to go to my account page.. then click on my weight chart, then view the source for that page.. and then figure out just what i needed to copy from it, and then paste it into my profile info.. it took me a few tries to say the least... and i could do ten minute workouts a few times a day.. BUT.. i think i would have a hard time doing it that way..if i wait tooo long in the morning i dont feel up to doing it later...

courtswim - ooooh france... i would love to visit there :)

vcooper - hope you feel better quickly :)  and i was soooooooo excited about that dress coming, and fitting :) thats why i was grinning so big lol..  the pics a little blurry though :(

kiigan - that sounds like an easier way to get the weight chart lol.. mine updates itself, but i am sure if you take the image source it will still update too..
and my weight didnt go down this morning either... so dont feel bad... :)

okay, so like i said.. my weight didnt move this morning.. all i can say is it better tomorrow :0) going to do my taebo this morning, no excuses...
just gotta get up and get moving...

thank you again for all the awesome compliments :) made my morning :)

stacey-
if you just search "sushi" you should come up with a ton of different stuff in CC.  you could probably search, California roll, etc, too. sushi, i'm guessing, is going to be pretty dense if you eat it with avocado or white rice.  but if you're just having sashimi (the raw fish) then it probably won't be too bad.

have fun with taebo unicat!
ah well, I'll just keep updating daily and just keep my weight chart for myself... I like the ticker being on there, so that will work!

unicat- I see, it is easy to lose motivation if you are used to doing it in the am. I only do my workouts at night, so I kind of amp myself up all day to get a good workout in at night :P

just wanted to let you all know that I am NOT going to go get animal crackers :) After sitting here for a few minutes after lunch I realized I wasn't even hungry!!

but, I'd still like to know the calories in sushi if anyone has any idea :)
thanks kiigan! I'm not sure what I'll end up eating tonight, I usually only have like 4 little rolls and let my boyfriend have the rest. So I'm thinking whatever I choose should be a safe bet, esp if I pair it up with a salad, that should fill me up. Hmmm... doesn't sound like a lot of food though, not sure what else goes with sushi though! lol
yay srd  see you didnt need those animal crackers :P you just thought you did :) wtg on not getting them :) and i think kiigan answered you on the sushi  at the same time you posted about not eating the animal crackers lol...

miso soup is great with sushi :) but it's gonna be high in sodium.  and salad will go well too--especially if you get a sesame dressing :) i love japanese food. there's this good asian restaurant in town that just opened up--they have pretty good sushi (for a mid-size town in MI), and they're the only place around where you can get bibim bop (korean dish)--which i absolutely LOVE.

i'm an AM exerciser too, and sometimes it's SOOOO hard to get myself out of bed in the mornings :) luckily, i've gotten used to it and just don't think about it anymore :)
I get my sushi from Heinen's and they only have a little sushi bar, I don't think they have miso soup :( but I'll check! I haven't eaten a lot of Japanese which is surprising b/c my X (from like 3 yrs ago) studied something to do with Japan as well... I can't remember what, but he spent a few months in Japan... where he realized he still wanted to be w/his X... lol. Anyways, I wouldn't mind eating more, but their aren't a lot of options. There is one little Japanese restaurant by my work, maybe I'll try there on the weekends to see what they got goin on! :)

Ok, I'll just stick with sushi and a salad for now, and if I'm still hungry after that I'll have a string cheese or something :) thanks!
wow guys, you're flying through responses this morning ... i'm still reading!

vcooper - i just wanted to get in real quick, that i feel ya, i am a cpa - LOL!  luckily, i no longer have such an insane tax season since i quit public and went to industry.  but i too am pretty swamped so i'm getting to catch up a little less often on this forum lately.  and, like vcoop again, i'm off for vacation next week so i'm even more swamped this week!  ahhh, busy life! :)

so today was a total bummer, i'm up 1 1/2 lbs!!  i'm sure it has to all be water weight, but i just don't like to see it and i want it to go away!  i have been eating a lot of sodium lately, so i am sure that's all it is since i did have a deficit last week and didn't eat enough to gain that much.
oh, and i got my HRM late last night and started playing with it ... can't wait to use it today!!!
congrats on getting the HRM teenwolf.. i really need to look into getting me one i think...

its easier for me to exercise in the am.. usually the kids are either still sleeping, or off to school by the time i start, and i have totally gotten use to getting up this early.. so use to it that i cant even sleep in anymore lol..

well i guess i better get my taebo in, before i dont want to do it again lol..  be around later though :) (the life of a sahm lol)
srd, this is the website i use for sushi:

http://www.sushifaq.com/sushi-calories.htm

sashimi is the healthiest, but that's just straight raw fish, so if you're not used to that it may be a shock.  but i love it!  next healthy is the nigiri, which is the straight raw fish on rice.  then there's rolls that really very.  try not to get any with tempura (it's fried) and some, on occation have mayo or cream cheese ... ewe!  i try to just have 8-10 pieces and it's a decent amount of calories, but it certainly doesn't take me over.  Good luck!
i hope you like the HRM, wolfie! i love mine :)  it's great to have at the gym and when i do my exercises at home :) i really like seeing how many cals i've burned and how long i've been exercising for.
yay for the monitor teenwolf! exciting! I had the water weight thing happen to me a few weeks ago, I had a LOT of sodium in one day and went up 1.5 lbs overnight! It went back down over the next few days.. don't worry!

unicat, thanks for the encouragement about the crackers!:) I sat here for like 10 min prior to posting that fighting with myself about the stupid things.. then I was like, what am I doing??! I don't even need them!! lol!
Hi everyone - it's been a few days for me. I pop on here every 2-3 days and MAN! Everyone is just typing away! Nice to see such a great community. Great dress Bridget - you can see your hard work has paid off!

Stacey - I love sushi and miss that (and my big bowls of cereal) the most. My hubby and I would get 2 or 3 super maki rolls and split them - My fav was spicy tuna with tempura crunch, salmon roe and avocado. Ok - now my mouth is watering.

But NOW I get sashimi. Suprisingly very good and super good for you. You can find the counts on here for all kinds of fish. I believe a filet is 2 ozs. I add a salad with dressing on the side and a side of steamed veggies and get very full. Remember to get your spice / heat from the wasabi (radish root) NOT the spicy sauce (made from rich mayo). Good luck!

Hi to everyone else as well. I'll try to pop on more often.

Oh! By the way - I fit into my goal pants. I should get a picture on here. And I am finally seeing my ab exercises paying off. I can see a little ripple starting!

Hope everyone has a great week!
thanks teenwolf! Where I'm going, the only options I have are the rolls, so I'll stay away from the tempura! Mmmm, I can't wait! :)
thanks jennifer! I should try this sashimi craze! :) I'll look to see if they have it at the little grocery store I go to and try to get it! Congrats on the pants! I think I'm getting closer to mine... maybe after I start bike riding!
I wanted everyone to know I have thoroughly enjoyed reading everyones replies and how helpful everyone is.   You definitely make this easier.

I am a night workout, I find after a long stressful day it helps to relax me.  MORNING, can't bet my butt outta bed.  I tried an exercise class for 4 weeks at 6:00, left home at 5:30.... I did it, but didn't like it.

Brigitte - your husband is going to be amazed, are you going to surprise him?
way to fit into those pants! always a very exciting time :) just be careful and make sure the sashimi is fresh. it's pretty easy to get bad (icky tasting--not rotten) sashimi at grocery stores.

glad you're enjoying the community, v :)  before all these new ppl showed up, it used to get bumped way down all the time, so i'm really happy to see it consistently at the top!
not a good lunch for me today, feeling really guilty now.  A bunch of us went to Buffalo Wild Wings, haven't been there in like two months.....  6 wings and chips....   no matter how I feel, I am working out tonight!!!!!!

UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!
