140/130 club

Anyone in this grouping looking to drop from 140 to 130's.  We can all use support.  Today I am focusing on all the food groups.  Exercise would be good, but I won't be able to since I am working from 9 to 10:30.  A Super long day.  I hope I can stay focused, when I pass the fast food chaines on my travels today.

My scales are going the wrong way!! I guess I"m just so screwed up right now my body doesn't know what to do, think I"m really going to have to focus to be better on the weekends, because I think that's where I'm killing my self, I do really good during the week and then I just elt go on the weekends, I did amke it to the gym yesterday so I'm glad for that, will be going to the mall later so  a little walking and doctor this afternoon.

I'll catch up with everyone later, sounds like we are all getting back on track!!! We can do this!!

Well, I start the "Skinny Switch Secret" tomorrow! Anyone try this???
Everyone sounds great! Hope everyones having a great Easter!!!!
Have a great week!!!

Hope everyone had a great easter....

Karey~ yes...running 15 miles did make sense but it doesn't, lol.  Hope you get to that low end of maintenance so you have a nice cushion for your cruise.  Otherwise you'll just have to worry about it when you get back.  Remember vacation calories are like birthday calories...they don't count.

Sherry~ Sorry the scale is going the wrong way on you.  Maybe it's muscle or something???  You have been doing the right things so don't get discouraged just keep up the good work.

I did end up running the 22 miles on saturday and really glad I did.  I am completely confident about running my full marathon now, can't believe it's only a couple weeks away (May 9).  I even did three of the miles at a faster pace then I plan on running the marathon and felt really good and strong.  Eating I did pretty good, considering I burned over 2600 calories on Saturday during my run I shouldn't feel guilty about the 2 servings of glorified rice I had for Easter, YUMMY stuff, LOL.  This week is an easy week since I have my first half marathon of the season, don't think I'm going to PR it this year.  I haven't been able to do a lot of speed training with all the ice we have had.  I'll probably run it at my marathon pace or slightly faster and feel really good going into my first full.  I also will be signing up for my 2nd full marahton for this year on this coming Friday.

Hey ladies!

Sherry~  Hope your scales are treating you better now and that you take it easy on the weekends w/the food.  Hope the doctor apt. went well and you're getting all straightened out.  :)

Carie~  I have never heard of  the "Skinny Switch Secret"... what does it all involve?  Let us know how it goes and good luck!!

Cassy~  I'm happy to hear that vacation calories don't count, lol.  :)  Glad you decided to do the 22 miles on Saturday and that you're feeling good and strong!  No, I don't think you should feel guilty eating anything after burning that 2600 calories!  Gee, I wish I could run long distances, then it'd give me a license to eat more!  That's what I love about the weight training though... back has been sore lately, so I've taken time off from that.  Hoping to get back to it once I return from my cruise.

I only have 6 days until my cruise!!!!!  Woot, woot!!!!  :D

I'm here and I've been eating good and going to the gym, I have decided my weekends are my down fall and I will take control...I can do this.

Dr. appt was fine, he gave me 2 months of bc pills said my reset button needed pushed, somehting has gotten me out of whack and this should strighten me out, thank goodness let's hope fo rthe best.

Karey are you sure I can't be a stow away for the cruise? Man I hope you have a great time.  Keep up the maintenance you will do great.

Cassy- I'm so excited you got your long run in and was happy with how you did, you are amazing, I'm really struggling getting back to jogging to think I did 10 miles of jogging in November blows my mind, not sure what's wrong....but I'm still hanging in there I have really just begun, I'm focusing on getting back to the 3 miles of straight jogging....you are an inspiration.

Carie- haven't heard of it, tell us the "secret"!!!

I had a friend call today and was liek what's your secret you still look good after a few years....no secret, cut back and exercise...not sure that's what she was wanting to hear but I tried to give her good advice.

I'm so tired today...4 miles at the track and tried to jog as much of it as I could, gym tomorrow and maybe the track also.

Oh on the job interview, it had to be rescheduled but I haven't heard a new time or date yet....it's in God's hands he knows if it will be something that I need to do or not, I'm not stressing about it, if it's meant to be it will be.

The scales were finally back in my favor.....145 I was beginning to think i wasn't goint to see that number again...now to get lower....

great job srogers..

Im finally in the 30's wooohooo!! 139.2

drop~ WTG on the weight, keep up the great work.

Sherry~ glad the scale is showing off your new improved comitment, keep up the good work.  Just keep putting a plan together and follow through, remember it takes tome to build mileage the right way.

Karey~ hope you have a blast on your cruise, I so want to go on one of those someday.....isn't it great the more you work out the more you get to eat.  Just gotta keep it in check.

I am sooooooooooooo excited about Saturday.  I got a full body massage yesterday.  Today I had a 6 mile run and felt awesome once I got all loosened up.  I got everything I need already packed including my shoes.  I also already scheduled another massage for next Tuesday, I know I'm going to need it.  Not planning on pushing that hard, not going to PR.  I figure I have 2 marathons and at least one more 1/2 this year so I'm not going to push to hard this early in the year.  I have plenty of time to PR.  I'm going to focus on eating healthy over the next 3 weeks and hope I have a strong race and knock a large chunk off my marathon time.

Sherry~  Good job on the running and the 145!  :)

Droppin~  Congrats on making it into the 130's!

Cassy~  Good luck on Saturday!!!  Hope you have a good time!  Let us know how it goes.

Cassy~  Hope you had a good run and lots of fun yesterday!  Let us know how it went.

I'm getting ready to go run outside this morning (85 today!) and get a last good workout in before I leave on my cruise tomorrow.  My sister and her BF are flying in this evening and I'm soooo excited!!!  We're driving to Miami tomorrow morning and then leave on the ship around 4pm tomorrow on our way to the Bahamas!  Got my dress that I bought all cleaned and my bikinis all ready to be packed!  :)  Weighed myself this morning and I'm at 133.4, so under my maintenance of 135.  Gives me a bit of wiggle room.  ;)  Have a good week!

Karey-  a lady that works at our main office is going on a cruise this week wonder if ya'll are going on the same one?  I"ll try to find out what her cruise is, that would be neat if it was the same one.

Been doing decent this weekend, thank goodness. Hope to have a good week.

Karey~ Hope you have a blast on your cruise!!!!

Sherry~ keep up the good work!!

So you know how I said I wasn't going to push that hard during my race on Saturday.....well after 6 miles I gave up on that thought and just ran it "comfortably fast."  I felt awesome and didn't push to hard but I pushed hard enough to feel really good about my marathon in 18 days!!!  My time was 2:08:34, which is 3 minutes slower then last year.  When I plugged in my time to the calculator on runnersworld, it says 4:28:00 for my marathon time and since I didn't run all out I think a 4:30:00 marathon is very obtainable.  So Now I'm into my taper and recovery period of my training.  I feel very confident about running the marathon and know that I will be able to SHATTER my old marathon time.

Just gotta watch my food intake since I'm cutting back the miles....I'm already up in weight don't want to go up any more.

Hey all! Just dropping in. I've been so BAD lately that I had to remind myself what encouraged me to be good and lose in the first place. I think Sherry's advice should be ringing in my ears: cut back and exercise! I've been slacking, big time.

*sigh*

It sounds like everyone else is doing well, and enjoying spring!

Cassy- I can't believe you are training for 2 full marathons! I swear last year you were only planning on doing a half!

Hi Ann :) congrats on seeing the 130's :)

Karey - Bon voyage! Isn't wiggle room nice?

Jessica~ your right last year the plan was to do one half marathon...that turned into 2 half marathons, 1 full marathon, 1-10k, 1-5 mile, and 1-5k race.  My name is Cassy, and I'm addicted to running, LMAO.  Well here a kick in the butt for you *kick* now get moving, you know what to do.

As for me, 2 days in a row I have had really good food habbits.  With starting my taper I need to focus on GOOD eating habbits and NOT over eat.  I'm already up in weight :( so I can't over eat right now.  I have to keep calories around 1800 calories everyday and if I eat more, I have to burn it off (above my 30 running miles).  I had a massage today to get all the knots worked out from my race on Saturday.  Have more scheduled for right before/after my marathon.  Just have to schedule the chiropractor for the day before my race, get my miles in and not get injured in the next 17 days.

CAssy sounds like you have the right mind set for the race and a good eating plan, you are going to do GREAT!!!!

JEss- just take it a day at a time, that's what I have to do....some days are fine and other days aren't but we just start over, but the better you do each day it gets easier.

Well I say the above and yesterday was not a good eat day for me.....we were in a meeting all day...just sitting makes me feel yucky....good breakfast okay lunch and then afternoon snacking, chocolate chip cookie and popcorn...I felt awful wehn I got home...no exercise but should be back on track today, will hopefully hit the gym tonight.

Im currently working on going from 140s to 130s. I dropped from 220s to about 130 at my lowest but this semester Ive regained some weight and am in the mid 140s and am very discouraged

Rachel~ don't fret the little bit of weight gain, you look awesome in your photo's.  Just keep doing what you were doing and you will get there.  The closer you get the slower the weight should come off, best way to keep it off.

Sherry~ Get to that gym and get yourself on track, you can do it.  Afternoon and evening snacking is the killer, it's my biggest problem.

Well I have made it 3 days this week eating really well, and of course got my runs in.  Ran 8 miles this morning, felt good.  I have a few extra calories I should burn so I can get a full pound lose this week, in theory anyways.  I would really like to get back under 150 before the marathon.  Then after the marathon I'm going to hit the weight lose into full gear so I can drop down to 140 for my October marathon.  Maybe then I can drop another 10-20 min off my marathon time.

I went for a run yesterday! Finally. I didn't get too far, I punked out at a mile and a half, but I got out and did something. I've been carrying around a gym bag and not using it... today I had to laugh because I didn't even have a full set of workout clothes in it. Sheesh, what was I supposed to do without pants?

Rachel - Welcome! Don't be too discouraged, you are still down 80 pounds! That's amazing. I know how hard it can be to juggle school and eating well. I have been 'enjoying' too much free food and despising all the stress :( But! we can get back on track!

I hope it is as nice out where everyone is as it is here today! I love spring!

I'm back!  :)  Well, actually I'm in the car still on my way back from the port in Miami, but getting closer to home.

Sounds like you all are doing pretty well!

Sherry~  Did you find out what cruise ship/line the lady at work was going on?  It'd be funny if it was the same one.  Hope you're still doing well and were able to keep up w/the gym.

Cassy~  WTG on cutting down on your time!  I'm sure you're going to have a great marathon time this year!

Jessica~  Hope you're able to get back into the swing of things and be good.  ;)  Good job on getting the run in, and yes, that's definitely a start and at least it is something.

Rachel~  Don't get discouraged, you've lost so much already that this should be no problem at all.  You can do it!!  :)  Just keep at it.

Me~  Feeling like a fat (and happy) bloated cow!  LOL   It was buffet madness on the ship... definitely detrimental to one's health (and weight).  It seemed like all everyone did all the time was walk around and eat and drink.  LOL  I'm sure I've put on a few, but I'm not gonna stress over it too much.... not going to weigh myself until Wednesday morning to give my body a bit of time to drop some water weight hopefully.  Going to get right back into my calorie counting and healthy eating and exercise too.  I did go to the gym onboard a few days, but not everyday.  Did the elliptical a few times and some of the weight machines, which felt good.  The cruise was great though and we had a good time.  We went kayaking and snorkeling in Nassau, Bahamas and did some more snorkeling in Grand Turk, which was amazing.  Felt like we were in a huge aquarium!  Got to hold a huge stingray too, which was awesome.  Kinda sad it's over, but it's time to get back to the real world.

Karey~ sounds like had an awesome time on the cruise and stayed pretty active.  Waiting a few days to weigh is probably a good thing.

Jessica~ good job on the run, even if it wasn't far you're right, it's something.  Funny that you didn't have pants in your gym bag...at least you found out before you needed them.

As for me.....had a 15 mile run today.  It started out slow and I thought it was going to be one of those runs I was just going to struggle thru, but about mile 10 I picked up the pace and it felt really good.  I finished the run ahead of my half marathon pace.  I think I'm still going to start the marathon with the 4:30:00 group and if I'm feeling great about mile 15 I will kick up the pace and finish out the race ahead.  I still don't have a lot of marathon race experience to feel confident starting out to fast.  I did really good with food all week, logged everything everyday.  The hubby wants to go out to dinner and the bar, we are getting rid of all of our kids for the night.  We need the date but I'm going to try really hard to keep everything in check.

Hope everyone has a great, and healthy weekend!!
