140/130 club

Anyone in this grouping looking to drop from 140 to 130's.  We can all use support.  Today I am focusing on all the food groups.  Exercise would be good, but I won't be able to since I am working from 9 to 10:30.  A Super long day.  I hope I can stay focused, when I pass the fast food chaines on my travels today.

Cassy~  Yeah, I did have a great time on the cruise, but it always goes by too fast an then it's over.  Now I'm just trying to get back into the swing of being healthy again and making sure my weight is where I want it to be.  I've already gone for a short run (got too hot) outside and did my 30 Day Shred dvd, so I'm feeling pretty good now.  Had a very healthy breakfast and getting lots of water in too.  :)   Sounds like you're doing great w/your running!  Hope you had a good date with your husband last night and were able to keep it all in check.

Karey~ sounds like you are getting back on track full force.  I did have a fun date with the hubby.  We went to Corino's, an italian place, ate ok their and then had a few drinks at the bar.  Not horrible eating but not the greatest either.

I made it through a full week of logging all my food and ended the week with a good loss.  I need to make sure the next 2 weeks I really watch my eating since my running will decrease as I taper for the marathon.  I can't believe it's just over a week and a half away.  Granted I only get a week off before I start training for my second one of the year.  I have some sore muscles but all and all I feel really good about my running.  Once I get into training 2 I'm going to do a better job of cross training and strngth training.  I already have my running schedule done, just have to figure out my cross training and strength training.

Good Afternoon Ladies,

Sigh I'm sad to say that I'm back and higher then the last time I was here. I have gone up and down a lot in the past year and then took a dieting break for a few months and just maintained where I'm at. Sadly I'm at 148, it is so disappointing but what is done is done and now I'm trying to get back some control and do things right. I'm trying to not go to far above 1400 cals and am trying to get in some consistant workouts. So we shall see.

I see that there are a lot of new people on here since I was last on and then of course Cassy and Sherry are still here so it's nice to see some familiar people!

The meeting last week did me in...sigh....oh well back on track this week and have had stomach problems the last day or so....tonight hitting the gym and will start traingin with Laura, I'm excited about this.

Summer just started a tumbling class, she loves it so that will be some good exercise for her they are moving non stop the whole hour, she was sore!!!

Cassy0 you are doing great, when is the date of the marathon?

Karey- I'm so envious, so glad you had a good time!!!! Loved your pics.

Lisa-  I'm struggling, I've just want to see 145....no ones fault but mine...

Let's all stay focused we can do this.

Sherry~ you can get yourself back on track, remember each day is a new day.  My marathon is in 8 days....May 9.  Only have 4 runs between now and then.

Lisa~ welcome back.  You can do it, you know what you need to do.  Sherry and I are still here....Joan is still in and out too.

I am still doing pretty good.  Had a couple days where I didn't do as well as I would have liked for food but everyday I start over and try to do better.  Weekends are of course my biggest down fall.  Why is it that when I'm trying to keep myself on the straight and narrow is when all the big plans come up for the weekend????  This weekend is a bachelorette party and a friend's birthday.... guess I'll just do the best I can and start back to square one on Monday.  Guess I should be happy, I haven't gained any weight.

Yay! Almost out of the 140's. Today I weighed in at 142.5!! I am so excited to get down to where I want to be- in the 130's!

Cassy- that is just right around the corner, I'll be rootin you on, can't wait to hear how it goes, you are going to do great I know!!!

Triple- good luck getting down into the 130's.....you're almost there for sure!!! This is a great group of ladies.

I started training last wednesday with Laura....I went back to the gym Thursday and was so sore friday I could barely move, I had spots that I didn't even know there was muscle tissue that could get sore!!! But of course it was a good sore and I really feel that if I'm dedicated and do what she tells me I will see the results I'm wanitng, I'm excited about it and will probalby end up doing another month with her!!! My body mass and all were good, weight Thursday was liek 145 1/2 and I'm okay with that as I was really bad that weekend before.....still struggling with the weekends.

Summer has tumbling on Monday nights so I'm just across the street at the gym working out while she tumbles...works out perfect and I have my training on Wednesday.

Hears to a good eat week.

Sherru~ sounds like you got a good schedule going on, keep it up.

triple~WTG, you're almost there.

I am so excited for Saturday...have my clothes already picked out and ready.  The temp should be about perfect, around 40-45* at ther start of the race and close to 55-60* at the end of the race.  I'm going to redye my hair tonight so it's bright red, and I'm putting it up in pony tails so it looks like horns.  I also bought a bright green tank top and wrote "Red Hot" on the front and "on fire" on the back.  As long as it's not windy or raining I'll be set.  I've done my training and I put in 100%, getting a massage on Thursday.  I'm going to start with the 4:30:00 pace group and if I'm feeling really strong around mile 15-16 I'm going to pick up the pace and get closer to a 4:20:00.

Cassy-GOOD LUCK TOMORROW!!!! Can't wait to hear how it goes!!!!!! You are going to do great!!!

I have been on track all week....scales still say 146 yesterday but I can tell a difference in my stomach, doesn't look as bloated so the workouts are helpign even though the scales aren't saying what I want to see......still have to get some cardio in for the rest of the week and maybe one more workout. I think I should start pretty soon to so that may be another reason the scales aren't in my favor.

I'm so glad it's Friday...what a trying week it's been.....

Hope everyone has a great day.

Thx Sherry.......Keep up the good work thru the weekend.

All my training is in the bag and I have a positive attitude that I am going to do great.  I'm a little worried about the weahter, I picked out shorts and a tank to wear and now they are taking cooler weather.  I might just wear my arm sleeves for the whole race since I wrote on the tank.  Maybe I can wear a compression under it or something......I'll figure it out.

Hope everyone has a great weekend....I know I will Cool

I finished mt marathon in 4:29:09, thanks to the wonderful pacer who got me through the final hard miles.  So I shattered my PR from last year Laughing.....my legs are sore but I made it with running the whole things.  Now....what to do for the Twin Cities marathon in Oct, LOL.....

Hi Girls!

I made it FINALLY AFTER 4 YEARS! I have made it into the 130's!!!! I can't believe it ;) soooo happy, I weighed in at 139 this am ;) wootwoot! I had to tell my 140/130's club girls! xoxooxoxoxoo...

Sherry~  WTG on getting into a workout routine and working w/your trainer!  Sounds like you're well on your way to getting to where you want to be!

Cassy~  Congrats on your race!!!  Woot!  I bet you feel so good about your accomplishment and that you did it!  :)

Soraya~  Hey girl!  I'm so happy for you, I know how hard you've been trying to get into the 130's - CONGRATS!!  Yay!

I'm so happy that everyone is doing great!!!  =)  Now if I can only control that evil little food demon that keeps bugging me.  LOL  Seriously, my eating has definitely been a struggle since my vacation and it's SO hard to stay on track.  I know I definitely need to shape up though because my shorts are starting to get a little bit tighter in the waist - yikes!  Time to lock the food demon in the closet!  Well, gotta go workout now...

Cassy!!!!! I'm so proud of you!!!!! Way To Go!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saraya- Girl you got it goin' on!!!! So proud of you!!!

Karey- girl don't make me come to Florida and get you back on track!!! LOL!!! You can do it, look how great you look and how great you feel. FOCUS!!!

Got in a hour of cardio tonight and my workout, Summer was at the skating rink with the PTA so I was able to be at the gym longer and get more cardio in....my legs are screaming.....on the plus side I was able to jog 2 miles on the treadmill without having to walk....I'm so excited about that.

I train with Laura tomorrow, I really hope next week when she measures me there is some difference, I know I feel better, like today I was so tired when I got off and so didn't want to go to the gym but I did and I'm so glad.

My left knee is aching some, not sure what's up with that, I stopped doing the treadmill becuase it caused it to ache....not hurting just aching...any ideas what it could be?

Eating has been in check....frozen grapes are my treat after I come home from the gym:)  Trying to keep fruit in the house so if I'm wanting something sweet I can grab a apple or something.  I did not eat good Sunday, but my overall weekend eating was not that bad.

Weighed last Thursday...146, then ttotm hit saturday so maybe that's why the weight was that, hope to at least be 145 pray for 144 Thursday, it's just out of my reach, so frustrating.

Saraya~ WTG, you are so awesome, keep up the great work.

Sherry~ glad your keeping yourself on track.  As for the knee, if it's a dull ache maybe try icing it after your workouts, it might be inflamed or something.  Is it the knee itself or a spot around the knee?  Good job keeping your weekend under better control, work on it slowly.  Awesome idea about the fruit and frozen grapes.  I know how you feel about the weight thing, it's partially defeting to me that I'm 10 pounds heavier then I was a year ago.  Keep thinking if I was that 10 pounds lighter how much faster I could have been for my marathon.

I allowed myself a guilt free weekend.  Figured after a marathon I deserved it.  Yesterday I started counting my calories agian.  Tomorrow I will start back into running, very slowly.  Going to take it really easy over the next couple weeks and work back into everything.  I already have my training/running program done through my October marathon.  Next week I run 4 days and bike 2 days, the follwoing week I start weight training again.  No speed work until the first week in June, That should be enough time to recover.  I will get some of this extra 10 pounds off though, I have a bunch of cute summer cothes I want to look sexy in ;)

Cassy- yeah you deserved a guilt free weekend for sure.  I am still so amazed at what you have accomplished, it's just so great.

The scales were finally in my favor....144...about freakin time, okay so when I eat right and exercise they do what I want them to do...guess it makes sense!!!

Got a great work out last night with Laura....next week is my last one...I'm hoping to sign back up with her again but may have to skip a month but I  can still keep doing all the stuff she has shown me and I have it all written down, my knee is still bothering me but I think I know what the problem is, I need to go to the chiropractor...I can tell my hip is out, I have a tender spot when I sit down and I think that's the whole problem....of course they are both closed today so I'll go tomorrow.  I will try to stay focused this weekend and get in some more cardi, Laura wants me getting at leasat 3 hours a week, doesn't sound like alot and it's not but it is when you aren't spending but about an hour at the gym so you can get home and it's raining all the time so I can't get out and walk.....hope for no rain this weekend; goign to try to go to they gym Saturday mornign.

Sherry~ I'll cross my fingers for no rain, but you do have that elliptical you could use too.  You might be right with needing to go to the chiroprator, I can feel it in my legs and knees when I need to be adjusted.

I did good for eating yesterday, stayed under 1800 calories.  That's not enough to lose anything but it's in my maintain levels.  I did get out this morning for a 3 mile run.  The first mile was tough on my knees and legs but I kept the speed down and by the end I felt good.  Going to run 5 miles on Saturday too.  Next week back into the groove, hopefully on my way to lose 10 pounds.

I'm going for 130.

well i'm 145.5 right now .

Cassy- sounds like you have a plan to shed those 10 pounds, you can do it, I know you can!!!

Loose-----these are great ladies here and will give you wonderful support!!! Good luck!!

Well I didn't hit the gym last night I went to Zumba; not sure if anyone has ever heard of it, it's a type of dance exercise calss with like latin music.....let's just say this white girl can't dance and has not rhythym!!!!! IT was comical to say the least I did get a decent cardio as I was moving constantly for 45 minutes that's for sure, but I'm just not real coordinated...will take a few times to get those moves down that's for srue. Will try to walk tonight if it's not raining and then go to the gym in the mornign.

Hope I can stay strong over the weekend!!!

I'm so irritated...got up to go to the gym this morning, they are supposed to open at 8:30 and I get there it's alomst 9 and no one is there....why do I pay a membership??????  And some of the treadmills are broke, how do they expect to get new members when they can't be responsible.....IRRITATING!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was going to walk last night but I didn't now I should have maybe I can walk this afternoon.....my eating has been good so that's a plus....just to make it through the rest of the weekend!!

Has anyone tried the Fiber One pancake mix? It's really good and you can have like 3 pancakes!!! It's a great treat for the weekend.

Let's hope for a great weekend.....I want some sunshine.
