140/130 club

Anyone in this grouping looking to drop from 140 to 130's.  We can all use support.  Today I am focusing on all the food groups.  Exercise would be good, but I won't be able to since I am working from 9 to 10:30.  A Super long day.  I hope I can stay focused, when I pass the fast food chaines on my travels today.

I may need to cut back on the scale too... I weigh myself a few times a day just out of curiousity... I only log my morning weight but I like to play to see what it says when I'm clothed, after a big meal, right after I work out... etc, etc... not sure why, I'm sure I'll get out of that habit soon, but since I'm just starting with this weighing in business I want to play around a little ;)

Yeah, I won't totally throw out the rest of March, but definitely could go for a better April!!!!
thanks for the journal responses! :) I needed the encouragement on that one! I'm glad to hear that you guys do the same thing with the snack. Even though I probably won't be very hungry at 2, it's a light snack and I think it will keep me from stuffing my face at dinner since I won't feel starved! :)
i actually eat 3 meals and 3 snacks everyday :)  and thanks :) i am glad to be back down.. now to work towards that 140 goal :)
I need to start snacking a little more b/c it keeps me full longer. Now that my body is getting used to my eating habits, I think it will be easier. Before, even if I did snack, I'd still eat ton at dinner, but now, I know better :)
I also eat 3 meals and 2 snacks..... trying to stay away to the night snack, seems to be working so far.  The snacks are usually fruit or rice cakes.

srd - I'm just starting with this weighing stuff my self in the last couple of months,  same as you like to see what effects me the most.  I only log my morning weight also. 

We bought a Homedics scale that does body fat, body water and muscle mass.  Does anyone have one of these?

Unicat : the hair suggestions sound good @ highlighting and curling.. Its so much fun to do things with hair !!

All who are feeling frustrated- do stay at it. Maybe change a couple of things and use the frustration to make even more positive changes in your lives.. :D

And congratulations to all who are losing or steadily on their way to losing !!
this snack really hit the spot! a carrot and a light string cheese! yum! and I think this will hold me over for a while!!

vcooper-  i bought one of those scales in December and it made me realize how off my old scale was... which caused me to revamp my weight log because it was all wrong... but i like it now because its more acurate.

still feeling like the blob... had one heck of a leg cramp yesterday at pt causing me to just say to heck with exercising and call it a day ... slim in 6 day today... extra long workout.  and tommorow we are goin to work and the death grip that cramp had on my calves yesterday... come sun or rain my legs/body is going to run 3 miles.

i really think that you should go for the curls and highlights, brigitte.  for people like us with dark brown hair, highlights can do a lot to change how we look. i'm toying with the idea of getting some intense red ones if i save some $$ :) and good job on the weigh in!

i've also got a body fat, water scale.  but it's taylor...and i'm not sure how much i trust that brand.  plus, it said it was accurate to 0.2 lb, but it only measures in 0.5 increments, so that's impossible.  it could only be within 0.25 lb.  so i bought it thinking that it went in 0.2 lb increments.  i was mad :)
I just have a healthometer scale... Unsure of accuracy but I do weigh twice to make sure it's consistent, it is :) I got it for about $30 at Kohl's, normally $50. So I thought it was a good buy.

my scale is made by taylor.. it does the whole weight/bfi/water thing.. but i dont know how well i trust it.. lol.. there are days where the weight on it can change within seconds, and days when it stays the same no matter how many times i step on it lol..  and from what i hear you need to do your bfi/water in the evening.. thats when your body is well hydrated... and you get a more accurate reading (i keep forgetting about this and will step on the scale after i shower in the morning.. lol.. which could be the cause of my inconsistencies in my bfi measurements... )...

March hasnt been bad here.. but the last 24 hours sure have been..on account of that I'm gonna join the cranky club this morning, too LOL.. Im not pmsing yet.. though soon (or maybe THAT's why Im cranky and wanted to eat the whole kitchen last night/this a.m.. and semi did).. Either way, it's so cloudy and promising to rain here, too..had a tift with my roommate this morn and am stressed about the upcoming interview (Im a journalist and the interview is at a spanish station.. which is not my native language.. I speak well, but for an entire interview.. eek) I was tempted to get on the scale today but decided against it.  Didnt want to add insult to injury.. On a + note though.. I did an hour and fifteen mins of intense cardio today (normally, I do 45) to try to knock off some of the cals and have eaten well since.. official weight in is Fri..

Oh.. for crunchiness, I add water chestnuts or granola/Kashi high protein pieces if it's a salad with fruit..

That's about it for now.. Happy Hump Day everyone! (gotta love Wednesdays...hey..all cals count right? lol)
messam - we seem to have problems with consistency.  Was playing with it the other night when we got it, I tried three different times and got three different answers, so be the bookeeper that I am ( I averaged all three)  : - )  it is still much better than the cheapy one we had - at least the weight part seems consistent.
