140/130 club

Anyone in this grouping looking to drop from 140 to 130's.  We can all use support.  Today I am focusing on all the food groups.  Exercise would be good, but I won't be able to since I am working from 9 to 10:30.  A Super long day.  I hope I can stay focused, when I pass the fast food chaines on my travels today.

so crazy!  i find when i wear pants that are a little more snug (like today), i don't feel so hungry.  does anyone else feel that way?  i think i just found my dieting 'trick'! hahaha :)
lol .. ummm maybe it squeshhes your stomach.. lol.. so you dont have as much room lol..  
i think it makes me feel fat so i don't want food actually - LOL!!
little budge this morning! my scale tells me I lost .4 lbs. I stepped on the scale and at first it said 138.8 and I was like, finally, something! then I decided to double check and it went up to 139.4.... weird... and it stayed at 139.4 the next 3 times I stepped on it to check and the 5th time I got up there it said 139.6..? So I'm just going to stick with 139.4 as an average :)

I put in a journal entry today with more stuff...

So I was looking at my weight chart and last Friday was when I went up to 139.6 after being at 138... I commented that it was water retention but it seems to be more like the KFC and sugar binge I had at the end of last week b/c it doesn't seem to be going anywhere! *whoops!* :)
i like that dieting trick, wolfie--it's pretty funny.

i'm sitting at the airport waiting for my flight (which got delayed for 2 hours...grrrrrrrr) luckily i have a 2hr45min layover before my second flight, otherwise i wouldn't be able to make it.  ugh.  stupid planes.

also--i stepped on the scale this morning, and it said 141.5!!!! what????!!! so i'm excited.  it was a different time than usual, which could explain it--i usually weight after exercise and after breakfast, and this time it was right after waking up (since i didn't go to the gym).  but i'm mad because i could've slept a lot longer :( and possibly waited out the storm that i had to drive through to get here...grr...
k - sounds like you will one long day!!!!

s - you sound like me this morning, I had sworn off the scale - but couldn't resist...  mine average out to 139.4, which means YES I broke the plateau of 142-140!!!!  YEEHAH!!!!

well my scale decided to "fluctuate" on me this morning like srd...  it was anywhere from 144.5 - 146  so i am taking the 144.5 since i know i was at 146 last night when i went to be.. and i always lose overnight...  lol...  besides i dont wanna think it actually went back up that lb and a half i lost yesterday morning, lol.. 
must have been some kind of weird electric in the air this morning, my scale did the same thing.... like you I took the lowest because I was at 140 last night   : - )
stupid annoying scales lol.. too bad we cant avoid them...  i would have to like put mine in the trunk of hubbys car to avoid it lol.. and would probably still sneak out there in the morning to open the trunk and weigh myself.. lol..
srd - congrats!! .4 is awesome!!  it sucks that your scale teased you with an even lower number first though ... that's weird!

kiigan - so great to see a number you've never seen, huh!?  i LOVE that!!  i'm sorry that your flight's delayed, that blows.  at least you have internet though.

this morning i weighed in and i'm now down to 145.5, my mini-goal weight from a week and two days ago.  i guess it was water weight and its just taking it's time coming off since monday i was 149, tues i was 146.5, wed i was 146.0 and today 145.5.  not bad, at least i'm normalizing again to my 145 weight again.

all in all, i was thinking about it and march hasn't been terrible to me since i was 149 at the beginning of march and am now 145.5 ... that's 3 1/2 lbs!  not the best month ever, but certainly nothing horrendous.  i'm not really counting next week as part of march 'cause i'm hoping to just maintain while i'm in new york.

i've been kind of worried about new york, but my hubby gave me a little encouragement last night.  he said that i seem so into what i'm doing that he has no doubt i will still be good in new york and still be able to have a blast!  it made me feel good that he had the confidence in me.  i think if i end up getting too bogged down by counting while i'm there, i may just concentrate on serious portion control and call it a week.

Teenwolf, I totally agree with your hubby :).. The great thing about dieting with calorie count is that we are eating real food everyday and making real world sensible choices. Eating in New York shouldn't be that different !! You will be fine - may even lose weight !! And yes, 3.5 lbs is a good loss for a month..

I'm shooting for 5lbs loss this month, but Im only down 3 and there are just 10 days remaining :D.. So that may not happen this month. But like you say, around 3 lbs loss isnt terrible. Its pretty good.

good job guys! I'm sure you'll do great in NY teenwolf! I'd agree with the portion control idea... I think that is a good rule to stick with, just watch desserts and such, they always get me and pack a lot of punch no matter how small the portions! :)
teenwofl - you have come this far, I am sure as your hubby stated your eating habits have changed and will continue in NY. 

where are you gong in NY?  I had my first visit to NYC last December, just before Christmas it is a whole different world than Cleveland.
something exciting just happened!!!!

I bought a roll of rolos on Monday since they come in little pieces so I could just have one when I got a sweet tooth. I have been doing really really good about it all week and usually when I thought about having them, I'd crave them and just have one. Usually it happens around 10 am. Well... right now is the first time they've crossed my mind ALL DAY!!!! And no, I am not going to have one! I don't want to have to log it in my food journal! Hip hooray! This hasn't happened ever!! :) :)

teen i am sure you will do fine,... just remember portion control... if you get a big meal, split it in half and throw one half away...  and you know whats good for you and whats not by now, so do your best to stay away from those that arent :)  walk.. drink lots of water.. and enjoy :)
