Anyone in this grouping looking to drop from 140 to 130's.  We can all use support.  Today I am focusing on all the food groups.  Exercise would be good, but I won't be able to since I am working from 9 to 10:30.  A Super long day.  I hope I can stay focused, when I pass the fast food chaines on my travels today.

Unicat it is tough covering all the bases,I had the suggested menu to help out.  If you eat celery add 2 pieces of med (6" celery with reg cream cheese not low fat 2 tblsp.  This will add 110 calories about without adding to the carbs section much 3g  peanut butter will get your calories up in no time too.  won't hurt your other areas much either I don't think, check it out.

ekathleeng - BEST WISHES ENJOY YOURSELVES!  Maybe its the culture in yogurt that could turn the most iron stomach if you think too much about it. Enjoy your mini yogurts.. I'll be struggling with the giant multi serving containers though.
thanks mcboddy for the advice, yes i eat celery (occassionally lol.. but could definitely do it with cream cheese (my husband loves that, lol)...(hmmm maybe you should give me the suggest menu, haha..  )

kiigan, lol. this isnt what i normally eat, i was just trying to figure out stuff to eat to try to do it the way mcboddy is doing it..  i dont normally eat that much cheese,  lol..  and i have never tried tofu, doesnt look like something i would like eating, lol..
lol--i LOVE tofu :) hated it as a kid, but soooo yummy now :)  i say kudos--i could never eat 1200 calories...me likey food :)
I love tofu too !! Have some almost every day!!

I go for the lite version of the extra firm tofu- so I get good consistency...Plus tofu lets me add any flavor I'm up for the day - cause it takes up almost any and no flavor just as well.

by itself...tofu doesn't really taste like anything.  it tastes like cold, if you just took it out of the fridge :)  the wonder of tofu is that it takes on the flavor of anything that you put on it.  but a lot of ppl just don't like the texture.  it's like very firm flan or custard--but no sweet.  i like it with sesame seed oil and soy sauce and chives. yum.
ewwwwww still doesnt sound very good to me lol..  
lol. it's definitely an acquired taste with many people :) i HATED it as a kid, but have since grown to love it.

also--it hit 74 degrees in MI today.  i'm not quite ready for that kind of heat.  what happened to nice, mid-60 days?
Hit 87 here yesterday... I am definitely NOT ready for the summer heat!!  (Plus it is SO HOT at my gym in hot weather, it's absolutely miserable!) I've gotta get to my goal ASAP!!  =)
snap! 87?! ouch!  that sucks that your gym is so hot! i'm kind of dreading mine.  i haven't been for the past few days due to being out of town, but i'll be heading in tomorrow morning.  my mom said it's really weird coming out and feeling the warm breeze.  i'm not looking forward to it because it was always great to walk out and have nice cold air to cool you down after a good workout.

Wow! You guys have been chatting up a storm!  Brigitte, I know what you mean with the cals--I stay around 1700 and when I was eating too little, it was soooo hard to get the cals up.  I drink a lot of protein shakes (2 scoops, 200 cals) and eat a lot of whole grains--oatmeal every morning, whole wheat bread, brown rice--and lots of veggies, which are high in fiber.

I used to eat yogurt every day for lunch, and I overdosed on it--I don't eat it anymore. 

Tofu..I like, but only extra firm.  Gotta put a lot of sauce on it cus it tastes like a lot of nothing otherwise.

Of course, this is what I eat WHEN I am not sitting on my rump at home--keep me in my usual routine--I'm fine--vacation or extended time off--forget it.
god i am sooooooooooo bored out of my mind....  ugh.. i keep getting up and walking to the kitchen, havent eaten anything i shouldnt, YET....  ugh...  

i dont know how to raise my calories, without making my sodium skyrocket.. ugh...   i could snack on veggies or something, but that doesnt add many calories :(
any idea how quickly eggs go bad in the fridge?  i bought a dozen 2weeks ago so my daughter had the carton for school,, and they have sat in the fridge since them in a tupperware...
good morning! I stepped on the scale this morning.... 139.4 WTF!!! ugh... so frustrating! I'm sure it's b/c of yesterday. I managed to get in 1500 calories. I went home and had a bowl of chicken noodle soup and a baked potato and snacked on some pistachios here and there, nothing crazy. I was feeling better so I went out for an hour long bike ride... that is probably what did me in... I don't think I ate enough calories for the day to provide for an hour bike ride. So now I'm back up... I might try something new... I think I'm going to try cutting my sugar intake to see if that does ANYTHING!! I realized I do kind of eat a lot of sugar and then when I get a sweet tooth, I eat even more. So, I'm almost out of a lot of my things that have sugar and after those are gone I'm going to start subbing in some healthier things... I'll aim more for natural sugars in fruits and stuff. I think now that summer is on its way and I feel a little more energized I'll take my calories up to 1600-1700. Once I start riding my bike to work I'll probably up my calories to 2000. It'll be about 8 miles both ways.

Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful! Oh, and I don't think I could make it on 1200 calories... If that is my last option for this stupid moment, then I guess I'll try, but it'll be my last resort! :)
Down to 148! Lost another half pound which is nice.

The hubby is definitely sick of hearing me talk about my weight and diet - so I've taken a vow of silence regarding that topic. No more talking about weight or diets! Only here!!!!

I think I've become very annoying. Really. It's just so hard not to become obsessed when you're so friggin hungry all the time! lol
sorry you're so bored unicat!  as for eggs...i'm really not sure--but i'm a bad person to ask :) i'll eat it as long as it doesn't smell bad or have something growing on it :) i've yet to have a food poisoning experience, and my mom is the same way--so i tend to keep food A LONG time. but i'd say you prob shouldn't hold onto the eggs too much longer--just make sure they don't smell!

dj--do you just make your own protein shakes? or do you ever buy them at the store? i was thinking of maybe trying to find some at the store to drink for after workouts and such--also to try and increase the amt of protein i have in my diet.  anyone else have recommendations? i've got some protein powder at home, but only use it a few times per week.

stacey--my weight's up this morning, too. a whole two pounds. but try not to sweat it.  it happens.  i figure, if 143 (my weight this morning) is my new fluctuating high--i can definitely deal with that.  since i couldn't get below it two weeks ago.  those bike rides sound super awesome though! wish i could do that :) maybe some day :)

wtg uno!  i try not to talk about my weight and eating stuff in front of others, too.  it's hard though when it's always on your mind!  but they don't want to hear it :)  just do waht you do, and if someone asks, tell 'em! :)

i had a personal training session today and whoo boy.  i could tell i hadn't done strength training enough the past few weeks.  we did really intensive arms (basically no leg exercises today), and my biceps were like rubber.  i tried to scratch my nose, and my arm didn't go up all the way at first--i had to actually concentrate.  it was pretty funny :)
I think for eggs I don't know either. Usually they get tossed when my bf and I can't even remember when they were purchased... lol. One time I made a bad egg and you definitely know if they are bad... it tasted gross after I made it and I tossed it.

Yeah, I love my rides! Uno, I do the same thing with my bf and he doesn't seem interested! I also think my sisters get sick of hearing about it sometimes... lol, so I try to keep it to here as well!

Good point Kiigan... hopefully this is my new high! I hope.... ugh... just very frustrating esp since I thought I did so good yesterday! Well, better luck today I suppose!

hey ladies! hope everyone had a good weekend..  my weekend was ok... didnt exercise this weekend.. ran 1.5 yesterday aaaaannndd stayed within my 1250 calories.  today is PT day so im going to run another 1.5 and do some crunches and pushups. go home and do another hour..

measured my waist and its now a 30 so i lost .5 inches.  lost 1 lb. so im at 147 now.
