Anyone in this grouping looking to drop from 140 to 130's.  We can all use support.  Today I am focusing on all the food groups.  Exercise would be good, but I won't be able to since I am working from 9 to 10:30.  A Super long day.  I hope I can stay focused, when I pass the fast food chaines on my travels today.

LMAO. you wanna know why I'm first to answer??? my job is so boring that all i do is hang around on this forum waiting for people to post, LOL :)

i've got less than an hour to go, so i'm all good. and actually--i am officially the ONLY person in the building, so i could have a dance party if i wanted, LOL :) but i think i'll pull out harry potter instead :)

lily--i dont' think i can eat boca burger again just yet after my overindulgence with it a week ago (an over indulgence of two....) but we'll see :) good luck for the next 5 hours...i think i would go crazy

so, i have a really funny story. my mom lately has been worried that she's losing her sense of smell. i've made comments lately about how something smells, and she can never smell it.  so today, we're leaving the gym, and when we get outside, i'm like, "the stairs smelled like fart!" and she goes "it did? i didn't smell it!".  so then a couple minutes later in the car, she says, "could you hear me?" and i was like "huh?".  she said, "on the stairs, that was me".  i just died laughing. i said "that's a bad sign if you can't smell your own farts!"

i wish i was having a slow day ... i have SO MUCH work, but i have no desire to do it!  i wanna go home and play frisbee in the sun! :)  i get in these moods a lot ... not good for my work.  maybe if we could all just spread out my work-load ... hahaha

lily - way to burn off all those cals you ate!  way to turn a mistake into something good!  btw, although i weigh-in each morning, it only counts on fridays and tuesdays for me.  the other days i'm just peaking. :)

vcoop, good job keeping up with everything during tax season, it's a hard thing to do and you're almost there!!  monday is tax day and you'll have your freedom back from that point on - whoo!!

i'm planning to go for a run tonight with my hubby then do my sexy arms video when i get home (yes, i'm still a little nervous about my muscles so i need to get back on 'em!).  i think you're all right that i'm not losing muscle ... too soon for that to be happening, but i'm gonna use that fear to get my butt into gear again!  when i get busy though, it's easy for me to let the weight lifting slip and focus only on cardio.

you know what's weird, i've been dreaming about food lately in my sleep.  not like dreaming up things i wish i could have.  just dreaming i'm being faced with choices and i'm trying to choose the right foods ... it's really weird to dream of food!!  (this is a first)

vicki - i wish i had energy to dance around, or time lol..  i just made myself stop doing what i needed to do to come on here, lol..   i am usually not sooooo busy, and i am a stay at home mom, so like morgan i am constantly here waiting for someone to say something so i can reply lol...

okay i think that covers everyone, i have to head out again.. gotta shop at wally world real quick to find stuff for my husbands halfway night box.... ugh..  no clue what i am getting lol...  and then gotta get my girl from school..  then, it just goes on and on and on lol..  have a wonderful tuesday evening ya'll :)

oh, i dont think i replied to everyones journal entries today.. i will get to it later, ya'll :)
I am such a slacker when I'm on vacation!  I am also beyond any self control when it comes to this easter candy! Thank god my daughter has less control than I do, so she has demolished most of what is left! LOL!  I bought a heavy duty chin up bar today and installed it in my basement!  Those are so hard to do LOL!  I have to jump up to get my fat butt up! hahahahahahaha!  Holy crow, I couldn't stop laughing at myself!  I hope I can get to the point where I can do at least one correctly! :)  Chin ups are great overall upper body workouts, but man, I feel like such a wimp!

How are the exercise bands going?  I forgot who was talking about them...we are so chatty here I missed one day and had to read about three pages of posts!

I know Brigitte is still on today, being in Hawaii--how many days till the ball?  You know, you have to take pics of the event--we want to see Cinderella you know!  Only in this story, you get to keep the prince and both glass slippers!

hey dee - yeah, can't imagine doing pulls ups anymore, that sounds so hard!  hard to believe that when i was in 7th grade i could do more pull ups than any of the boys!  LOL!  maybe you could get something to stand on so you don't have such a long way to go until those muscles get stronger.

i was the one with the resistance bands and they've gone terribly, i think i'm gonna return them.  with one video i have, it's WAY too hard and the other video (that came with it) was WAY too easy!  what a bummer!  so, because i don't know what to do with them, i'm thinking i should return them for the time being and only try them again when i have a better plan.
awwwwwww deeeeeeee, i hope i feel like cinderella ;) its 326 pm here in hawaii. and i have 9 days left til the ball.. sooooooooooo excited :) i am definitely hoping to get pics taken with my prince(hope they have someone there doing it lol)... and will most definitely post them :) and oh god, i hate chinups lol..  blah lol..  i am a total wimp at em.. lol..

 Since the battle with the ED I find it difficult to eat more. Because once I start eating I find it difficult to stop.  I never get full, but I never really ever feel hungry. How do you know when to eat if you don't feel hungry. How do you curb over eating?  I know that I have messed with my metabolism and I will gain weight before I loose.  So I guess I am looking for some support to get me through the weight gain that comes with a healthy lifestyle. But since I have made such a mess of things I am afraid that will lead me to a 155lb level which takes me out of the healthy BMI range.  I don't want to sound obsessive about my weight but does anyone know how much I can expect to gain by increaseing back to a healthy level? I am eventually hopeing to maintain a healthy weight of around 135lbs. 

Any way Sorry to not have any inspiration for anyone, I hope that in a few weeks I will be headed in the right direction and that I will be able to help everyone else with thier weight journies.

vics - i am no expert here, so anyone please feel free to contradict me.  but my thoughts are that you should move right away to 1300-1400 calories a day for a week or two and see where that gets you.  if your weight starts moving, great, which way is it going?  adjust it by 100 a day (i would guess upward) for another week or so ... see where that gets you.  then potentially adjust it again.  try to keep in mind that our bodies are not textbook bodies and that it takes some trial and error to get things right.

also, you want to compare what you consume to how much you burn.  tally up all that you consume in a day.  then, tally up the calories you burn through workout plus your sedentary expediture.  net the two numbers.  if you're looking to lose, you are looking for a daily deficit (difference in those numbers) of 500-750, expenditure being higher.  if you're looking to maintain, those two numbers should be equal.  if you're looking for a change in your body but not necessarily a change in the scale (i believe you are considered a healthy weight already), you want to try to keep those two numbers equal but continue to exercise and do weight training.  this way you would lose inches, but not necessarily pounds.

in your case, i would just take a scientific approach since you can't listen to your body and track what is going on in order to keep yourself on track.  good luck, hope that helps!
I'm jumping on this late be/c I was out all day, but one of the reasons I stopped talking that much in the public forum is be/c as someone who is 5'4", I feel so great @ 130, but there's really young people saying that they're practically obese for weighing that. It started to really get me down.
Dharma, I know exactly what you are talking about.. My goal weight is 127 - but I know I will be happy with 130 - 135 and will LOVE my body at around that weight (not just settle for it)..Anyway, I'll assess that when I get there.

I used to be around 120 till I was 23 and though I used to exercise hard to stay that way.. when I now look at my pictures of then, I dont like the way I looked. My face was gaunt and pale...I look so much livelier now! (though chubbier :D ).

Anyway, I can understand that it can be demoralising - but to each his/her own! Everyone must love themselves at different weights/ looks.

I just saw "the devil wears prada" (Ok- I'm taking a break from studying :D..) and they call a size 6 "fat"!!! I just found that too funny.. but yeah- whatever works for them..

Dee- the bands are working pretty well for me. I've only used them thrice in the past week - but they are already more manageable..

Ok, does anyone have any tips on "filling" / "fighting cravings" foods ? I was forced to exercise hard today to make a deficit - cause I ate a usual 1700 + calories. I'm having a hard time fighting cravings this week ...I'm going to dump the Peanut butter, I swear.. I'm hoping to exercise lesser this coming month (maybe 30 minutes each day) and want to lessen my caloric intake. Maybe this is just a phase - but I really hope it will pass before I do something really stupid!
Some low-calorie filling snacks I can think of and am trying to eat in between meals :

Carrots and water

Almonds and water

Just water

Green tea

Yoghurt (low cal)

(ok- I'm stumped.. Anything else ?)
wow i had a busy evening, will it end?? lol.. went to our ohana meeting (for those who dont know what that is.. its our family readiness group for when our family member is deployed, we meet once a month to plan things to do to earn money to spend on our family members, or to plan things for us to do, to kill time while they are gone)..  so we spent all evening packing boxes..  we had an assembly line going for well over an hour i would say total, packing stuff in these boxes.. lol..  i know thats definitely gotta burn some calories..  so i prob burned more then i expected today... so now i am finally getting kids in bed (its after 9 here now) and i am beat lol.. so i am gonna run figure my intake/expend and such for tomorrow, and i will hopefully be hitting the sack...

wonders how Messam is doing..  enjoying Italy i am sure.. :)

last night I almost had a disaster. Around 7 ish I got hungry and instead of eating gross I ate carrot sticks and a few pistachios... ok, maybe more than a few ;) but I did have the option of yucky stuff, so yay!

to curb cravings I go with tea, carrot sticks, yogurt, string cheese... hmmm, I do love those 100 calorie packs too!

I'll be posting a journal entry around 10 my time. I'll let you know what my results are regarding blood pressure, weight, hips and waist after my screening! All the other fun stuff with blood work will have to wait a few weeks... Then I'll post full results in my journal!

lily, wanted to tell you good job with those sweets! They get me every time! Oh yeah, last night I had 2 dove eggs, I could have had like 8, but I stopped after 2! yay!
Hey teenwolf how was NYC?  Were you here with the good weather or cold? 

Good snacks, Apples are helping me through the hunger pangs.  I know they are high carb but other than late night I eat them all day long.  Popcorn has been driving me crazy too.  I just went with plain popcorn no butter, cooked the old fashioned way (on the stove)  my kids are loving it.  They crack up the whole time I cook it.  Imagine what a vinyl record could do for them. 

Anybody having trouble with the Easter candy their kids got?  I can't resist the malt eggs and it is killing my weight loss.  I am even counting it in my calories.  Still under and not losing.  Why are 10 malt eggs (counting as 180 calories) hurting my 1600 calorie intake.  I work out 30 elliptical and 30 circuit 6 days per week.  Hard work out not easy does it.

My goal is 125 but I too will be very happy at 130-135, I am happy now at 136-137.  I just donated my whole closet, it felt great!  I am hoping  to pick up a few things at Kohl's til I get closer to the 130 mark, but I am afraid they will have snow suits out in the next few weeks.  Isn't that the retail schedule.  I need some cute outfits for summer if I am going to be that small again.  I wish it could happen quicker.  Getting impatient.
I don't have kids, but did get a lot of candy for Easter... I'm saving my white chocolate bunny in the freezer for when I get to 135 :)

I'm getting impatient too... my weight hasn't gone anywhere but up in the past few weeks... Hopefully this week/month will be a change for the better!
I have the worst headache today I am swearing off the malt eggs.  They have  to be the reason.  I don't usually eat the candy. How good is it going to feel to break the 135?  It is consuming me.  I just want to know that even at my high point I am below 135.  Mid day morning night anytime.  Just below the 135.  Under 135 means under 10lbs to my goal which seems so far away right now.  Long week. 

Hope you start losing again.  My fingers are crossed, hope you get to enjoy your bunny soon.  Are you still calorie counting or were you off for a while?  I noticed if I plateau even a few days I eat regul. 1 day no counting but realistic eating then go back to approx.  1200 for 3 days I start losing again, then 1600 per day after that.  Give it a try.  Yogurt in the am also seems to have some effect on my losing.  When I switch to egg beaters or cereal I seem to stop losing for a few days.  Seems wierd but I am not cheating so I know when something changes.  I am still logging everything. 
I find green tea helpful.

I have gotten in the habit of eating grapes while I am studying. They take longer to eat, if you eat them slowly and they're still somewhat chewy.

I've been avoiding the Easter chocolate on sale. I used to buy a lot after Easter.
My problem is not stopping eating when I'm not even hungry. I'll get to my 1500 for the day and just keep going and it's not even necessary. I'm having a really hard time controlling my portions. I feel like I'm getting a little better... but it is going to take patience... ugh. Hopefully if I start eating dessert later in the night than right after my dinner that should help curb cravings and keep me in my calorie range. I have a hard time going below 1300 calories... I just can't stop eating!! lol

ugh... hopefully I'll get this down soon... I should be good tonight. I have 600 calories open for dinner and snacking that I do. The pistachios are almost gone so that will be good to not have those around!
