If you're 5 feet and 5 inches tall (or within 1-2 inches of it) feel free to talk here! Think of it like an interactive journal.

Let us know who you are, a few simple statistics, share what you eat, your goal weight, your story.

Come here whenever you need to vent, want support, need someone to talk to, need advice, etc.

There is no limit to the number of people who can come here, no specific way you must introduce yourself, nothing is set in stone. Come here when you can, share as much as you want and most importantly, be comfortable!

There is an optional weigh-in date so you can get some encouragement. Friday! Weigh-in however you want! Scale, inches, clothing size, etc! However you keep track of your weight loss is the best one to use.

weighing in today: 154, same as last week. Oh well, better luck next week.

Hi!

I'm Abby. I started cal counting in Feb. Since then I went from 222 to 195, size 18-20 to 16.

I'm pretty desperate to lose the weight. I've been married for 11 years, and last year I was feeling pretty down and unsatisfied with my husband. I felt like the passion was gone from our relationship. I tried everything- lingerie, toys, roleplay- nothing got him interested. I finally sat him down and asked what the hell was going on, and after quite a bit of coaxing, he finally told me that my weight was a major issue for him. I was thrown back, because he had never led me to believe that there was any problem. He was always telling me how sexy I am and how beautiful I am- then this. CryNow dont get me wrong, he's a wonderful man. But I never saw this coming. I was so embarrassed. I've had 5 children in the last 9 years, and it's been one pregnancy after another with no time to lose the weight in between.

Now we decided not to have any more kids (after 5 girls, you kinda give up on the boy), so I have the opportunity now to lose the weight. I've started doing yoga, pilates, and mall walking. I keep a close eye on everything that goes into my mouth, weighing my portions and carefully and dutifully recording them every day into my food journal. I've managed to drop a good bit in the last 3 1/2 months, but I'm desperate to drop more- quickly! I don't want to lose my husband. I want to feel wanted again. I want to catch him looking at me again. So I have lots of motivation to make this work! For my marriage and my family!

Hi everyone, I know our weigh in is on Friday but I wanted to post this (may not be this weight on Friday Tongue out) I hit the 100 pound weight loss today. 2.5 years to the day that I started this. I am so happy I finally got below 153 it was hard to do.

abby_m, sorry to hear that your husband was having trouble with your weight. I hope everything works out for you. I know I would not want to lose my family or split up if it was something I could control. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. I do think he should give you a break though. 5 kids in 9 years is a lot. It takes a while to bounce back after you have one then to have so many in a short time is harder yet.

Welcome to the 5'5'' club.

Thank you so much tammy! Congrats on the 100 lb loss! That seems so daunting, but to meet someone who has managed to do it makes it seem so much more realistic and within grasp.

Congrats Tammy!!! 100lbs is amazing!!! Great Job!!

Welcome to the group Abby. Sorry to hear about your situation with the hubby. I would hope that he will notice the hard work you are putting into this, and how seriously you are taking getting healthy for you and for your relationship. Please do remember that... that you need to do this for yourself as well,  not just to keep your family together. Best of luck, and we are here for you.

I have been away for the last week. Was working from home, which means a little less free time on my hands. I had a horrible weekend food wise, and it is reflecting in the scale. It is ok though... it was one weekend, and I can work that much harder this week.

I have been 6 days now with no dairy. I am trying to cut it out for 3 wks to see what effect it has on my body. So far, I am not noticing much. But I will let you know.

Hey, I'm new and wanted to join!

I'm 5'5" and 148ish.  I hope to get to 125 before October 18th, my wedding!

Hey!  I'm 35 and 5'5.  I started on here over two years ago when I went into the doctor and realized that at 171, I weighed the same as when I went into the hospital to have my last baby.  Did really well for a while and have maintained that loss but needed to come back and really work on my nutrition and health.

I have four children (14, 12, 10 and 5) who are super busy and I work full time as a public defender in S. Georgia.  Between the dance classes and sports activities I spend most of my time in the car and very little in the kitchen.

I was finally diagnosed a year ago with MS and a weird chronic problem that makes my muscles twitch and cramp continuously (so exercise is difficult) and just finished a workup for lupus (so far the diagnosis is undifferentiated connective tissue disorder).  I have a lot of great reasons to kick this thing in the rear and need some support!

Weighing in today, Firday the 13th. I am at 152 down 2 from last week but still at my 100 mark. Good luck to everyone. Welcome, hanaleiway and jennalaw.

Wow... I am so sorry about disappearing. Finals week(s) came up and I got buried under research papers, final projects, tests, etc.... I wasn't online except to e-mail my teachers and work on assignments, no other sites were touched and I am really sorry I left this community for so long.

Update me, how has everyone been doing?

hey all, had a fairly active week last week, lots of paddling as always. I was at the gym yesterday, and I am at 142lbs. Still about the same. I did my weight routine last night, and I think I will be going for a run tonight. This weekend we are going to Vancouver for our first dragon boat festival. Will be walking and paddling all weekend. Should be fun. I think I will try to get a run in while I am there as well, depending on what times we race at.

and I am still waiting for my digital scales to arrive.... hopefully not much longer... ugh....

Hello everyone!

I'm starting these diet pills tomorrow SoloSlim it's called. I'm hoping it will help kick start my weight loss and help keep me motivated.

Has anyone ever tried this diet pill?

Mish, I hope you get your new scales soon! It has been awhile hasn't it?

Weighing in today: 153, up one from last week but that is water weight. Hopefully next week will be better.

 Good luck to everyone.

Had an out of town paddling competition this weekend. While I was active, I ate a fair bit as well. Got on this scales this morning, and was 147lbs... however I think some of that is swelling from being on my feet all day saturday and sunday, then flying home this morning. Flying makes my legs swell. I'll give it a few days, then weigh again. I should see that drop again.

Paddling was great. Made the Competitive B division final, and came in 8th. We were very happy with our results. it was lots of paddling, and lots of fun.

We were in BC, so had sushi on friday night, and fresh salmon on saturday... the fish is so good out there!! blew it a bit last night. Attended the paddlers afterparty, and had a burger just so I had some food in my stomach before drinking. Had 4 glasses of wine... which were about 5 oz glasses. Better than some of my other drink choices!!  got home after the party, ordered a pizza, and had 3 slices (BF ate the rest of it)... ah well, we were active over the weekend.... it was worth it!!

Alright weighing in at 154 at 5'5 and I am going on a cruise in only 24 days! AH! So I worked out two weeks ago and started to lose and look better and got shin splints and took two weeks off. I am still a little sore but plan on pushing through and do some serious food changes and exercising tomorrow. My normal weight until I turned 22 was 120-130 max. I don't have a goal in the form of pounds, but my goal is to be comfortable and confident in a bikini. I love pictures and I would like to actually be in them instead of hiding behind the camera lens. Wish me luck. I will be working out everyday doing Jillian Michaels 30- Day Shred and try to lose, "up to 20 lbs in 30 days!"
HI! I'M COLLEEN. I'M 5'5 (obviously), THIS A.M. I WEIGHED 174, DOWN FROM 182 IN MARCH 2008. I WANT TO GET DOWN TO 150 BY MY 30TH BIRTHDAY IN OCTOBER.  I WANT TO LOSE 8 LBS BY JULY 27th CAUSE I'M GOING TO THE SHORE. I WAS ALWAYS HEAVY, BUT 182 WAS MY HIGHEST EVER.

Hi, I'm new to this site so I thought I would introduce myself.

I'm 24 yo and 5'5". My SW was 205ish ( I stopped weighing myself). My CW is 175ish and my GW is 150.

My plan is eating a healthy 1200-1500 calories/day to lose ~.5 to 1 lb/week. I try to get at least 30 mins of cardio per day and I am looking to add a strength training routine.

If anyone would like to be buddies to keep each other motivated, share recipes/exercise ideas, etc just let me know!

Hi guys, just want to tell you that I will no longer be in this group. My husband and I have decided to have another baby! So it will be gaining weight for me now (hopefully not too much) Good luck to everyone.

yay! I'm 5'5.5" (so proud of the extra half inch!)

Started the 30 day shred (and using this website!) last week. I don't weigh myself often though, so I'll have to update based on how my clothes fit! LOL

I'm 20, and currently around 145-150lbs. College good wasn't good to me, little time meant bad food choices, but I'm on my own now and eating much healthier! I'm stoked to get healthy!

Hi! I'm 5'5'', currently 184, goal of 135!! I am doing a very restricted diet to drop the first 15 lbs fast, and then I'm just gonna do the healthy thing. I work out 5-6 days a week just 30 mins cardio and some weights. I don't want to over do it with the whole exercise thing, because than it's harder to stick to it. Right now I am just focused on not binging because I have struggled with it a lot in the past, so my goal now is to make it 2 weeks without it. Right now I'm at 3 days!! :)
