Looking to drop 70 pounds over the next 2 years.  anyone have that much to lose?
That's a sweet goal! I dont have that much to lose, but Im on the last 10-15 lbs, which is rly hard to lose bc you have to work harder =(....

Im sure that if you set some challenges you would see some really awesome results !

What do you do when you workout?

mostly walk, ride a bike and looking for suggestions.  Used to be a gym hound,  don't really want to get into heavy weights again.  little weight, more reps but that is not really showing any results. not even firming up.
I would love to join! I am 5' even (or 4'11, shhh) and I started out in november at 176. I am now at 134...u can do it!!! Time flies, and being short makes the small changes more noticable.

We should have a weekly thing or something on here. Any suggestions?

I am 5'2" and know exactly what you all are talking about!!!  My eventual goal, aka "healthy weight" is 124 lb.  Is that even possible?  I am 170 now and have been here since I had my daughter almost 2 years ago.  Prior to that I always hovered aroung 140 (and still felt fat! now I know that that was a self esteem thing).

Does this really work?  I have only been counting calories for a week, but have been really diligent.  No weight loss yet, I know it is early, but should I be discouraged?  Does it take a while to start working?

Also, as a newbie, question for you all . . . if I splurge one day, should I each less than my goal calories the next?  Does it help equal it out, or does it do more harm to my system than good?

Also, I would love to be part of this emerging group!
I'm 5'2 started out in the high 160's and am at 120 currently.  For me I had to do strength training and get some more muscle tone.  It makes me look better and also allows me to eat more.  I can actually have the occassional cookies without gaining weight when I smell them ;) lol.

I do a LOT of lunges squats pushups leg lifts arm weights pilates etc. and I also powerwalk and hike - its fun and I don't get bored :) keeps me in good shape.  right now Im still firming up the last of my wobbly bits lol but I think at 33 120 is a good goal for me.

I am also very small so I feel your pain - I wear a size 4 ring the flip side to having every pound show though is that it doesn't take much loss at all for it to be noticeable :)

Hi All!!  I'm 5'2" and am in the same boat as you all. I've got friends who are 20 or 30 lbs heavier than I am but look fabulous because they are so much taller. Everything just looks stumpy when you are short :(

I started at 157 lbs back in August and am now at 140 (damn scale at the gym refuses to let me into the 130s). I'm not even sure what my goal weight should be. I had originally thought 130, but looking at my body now, I'm not sure that an additional 10lbs would make me look a whole lot different. Maybe 120 or 125? It seems so far away and I don't want to get discouraged. I guess we'll see how I feel at 130 if and when I get there and take it from there.

I'm not much of a calorie counter, so I've been working on fitness and exercise as my main weight loss weapon. I try not to eat "unhealthy" foods. My husband and I never eat fast food and I try and fill up on veggies and lean protein and rely less on carbs. It's worked well for me because I know the minute I try and restrict myself or count calories, I turn into a grouchy maniac!!

I took me forever to lose the first 5 lbs - like I'm talking 3 months. After that, there was a steady loss for a little while and then another plateau. I seem to be that way. No weight loss for weeks and weeks, and then suddenly (with no major changes to anything) a couple of pounds gone in a week.

That's helpful!  It's hard to change your habits so severely and stick to it, especially when there is no immediate gratification of lbs lost.  It's nice to hear that although it can take a bit to kickstart, it will be effective in the end!
I am 5'1"  I look "stubby" even when I get down to around 120lbs.  (currently 129)  And there is just no way I could sustain 110-115 lbs.  Just too skinny for me, so I am stuck being stubby, although wearing 4 inch heels all the time helps.  Just wondering what kind of foot and/or back problems I am going to end up with as I get older (as a result of those high heels)

Okay, it looks like we have lots of folks in the same boat. Anyone for a group plan?  Since we all have different amounts to lose, maybe goals and then updates to those goals.  I am willing to send an e-card to anyone who makes the goal at the end of the week, day, month or whatever.  any other thoughts?
this sounds awesome well lets see I will start:

Height: 4'11

Age: 24

Highest Weight: current 167

LOwest weight: 105

Goal Weight: 120

Exersize: gym 4x's a week (elleptical, weights) and SHAPE  dvd's
Count me in on this group plan!

I'm 5''2 (generously), and feel the pain of 'every pound shows'.  I've gotten down to around 122lbs, but am finding it very hard to maintain.

If I slip up, even a little  bit, my love handles start to grow!!!
I'm 5'1! Include me please :D :D
